I'm in the same boat as gorth kind of. Never been in a relationship before (though I would like to for the obvious benefits of sex) but I did for a brief stint really, really, really, really like a girl once in high school but then immediately realized she was a b****. I don't believe in love but I do believe in long term infatuation and contentment which I believe most people confuse with love, which isn't exactly a bad thing but people become blinded by that kind of stuff and make stupid mistakes, which is a bad thing. I'm a pretty big narcissist and elitist prick. To me people are just senseless; consistently making rash decisions and disgracing our species with ridiculous behavior and just generally being stupid. A lot of my frustration is drawn from my mom so I choose to really only see the negatives about women and deem most of them to be petty and dumb, though many times it's perfectly reasonable.

I did a bunch of push ups, squats, and crunches last night. Kind of sore but since I've been doing them the last 2 weeks I'm not crippled. I haven't really noticed any crazy gains yet but I'm getting there I suppose. When I knock down a few more days where one set alone is 40 and a above my overall max should increase much higher. I can only do about 47 in a row which is pretty lame. Anyways school and work begins in 9 days so things should certainly get interesting. My first pay check I think I'm going to splurge on a bunch of delicious sushi. Depending on how my schedule goes I may get a gym membership as well. It's going to be nice having a disposable income even though I know I'm going to be holing away 90%.

Greco roman and free style wrestling are pretty similar since their objectives are the same but the rules have changed drastically since then. In Greco you can't attack the legs aka "shoot" where as collegiate and free style you can. Greco is also more slam oriented and I believe point oriented so they have rolls and what not that you can perform to get points. Both styles are still pin oriented so its all good. In my opinion Greco sucks, collegiate/free style is so much better. Since you can't attack the legs in Greco you can't shoot which means there is no sprawl and brawl as I like to call it. Basically when someone shoots on you they kind of do a "lunge" like the exercise, they grab your leg and put there head on the side of your hip and try to drive you down to the ground. The counter of this, which is repeated hundreds of times throughout training, is a sprawl and cross face. Basically you throw your legs out and lean on the guy as far as possible giving him the least amount of leverage. At the same time you are driving your forearm into the guys face, in many cases, breaking his nose or giving him a black eye. It's probably the best feeling ever unless your on the receiving end. As far as the match being reset on the ground with one opponent on his hands and knees if I remember correctly they do that when wrestler A takes wrestler B down or has an advantage over B on the ground but there is inaction or a "stalemate." Instead of standing them up they give wrestler A the advantage by giving him B's back. I could be completely wrong though since I haven't wrestled in 7 years and the rules have changed since then but still an amazing sport. So visceral but at the same time such a ridiculous amount of depth. Guys who wrestle are just complete monsters of strength and endurance. Seriously, you could take like any of these guys who like run cross country or anything and put them on the mat. Plus these weren't classrooms but places you need to go to get random stuff. Which actually makes me angry since this is all stuff new students have to get before attending so I don't see the harm in, I don't know, putting them all in the same building. Since trekking like 20 minutes to the campus just 4 times I'm already rethinking whether or not I want to commit to the new school or just stay at my crappy community one. Both schools rank pretty high in the stupidity range but the university is ridiculously expensive and absolutely needlessly complicated in every aspect. The school literally has 88 separate buildings on a huge plot of about 1 square mile, all of which have different resources and purposes and all of them seemingly have no connection to one another. It's a complete cluster f over there where as my first school has about 4 or 5 large buildings total and a very centralized set up, so there is no confusion about anything. Too bad the school is brand new, 95% of the teachers might as well be huffing paint in the class room and they only offer like 3 business degrees, none of which I'm interested in. I ranted but it was necessary.

I read this article written by a teacher a long time ago and it was pretty revealing. The system is solely designed for students to graduate and get good test scores so the schools can make money where actual learning is a secondary priority at best. The first year the teacher flunked about half his class and was threatened by parents and faculty alike to give the students passing grades and rework his curriculum or face the consequences. As far as people getting smarter or dumber I would say we are becoming dumber in the sense that most people who can read, write, and do math, do it poorly. I would say however, that people know more now than they ever did in any previous generation but that doesn't exactly equate to intelligence. What I'm saying is that you had people like Adam Smith or Plato who revolutionized thought and the world. Now we have people who have memorized every pokemon ever conceived. And yes, I can compare some of the greatest minds against 14 year old children and get away with it because that's how I roll.

Lol perhaps I went a little crazy with the theatrics but my job will simply be desk work and answering phones as an assistant however it's a little bit higher of a position than I originally thought since I'm working directly for the top of the department. I think I even get my own office becuase I mean there's no reception desk or anything like that in the upper part of the building which is where I'd work. There's just like 50 small rooms scattered about so that could be cool becuase I work best when I'm alone in my cave, in the darkness, alone. I may just have to go out and buy a bunch of cat posters and cat nick nacks to fill it though. It'll be awesome.

Something magical happened today. I have been in a moderately bad place for the last 2 and a half years but the last 3 months have easily been the darkest in my entire life. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my life. I considered many things, some extremely drastic but today it has all changed. I have a reason to live now and I have no one to thank but Walshingham who has been by my side in spirit the whole time. When I was on top of that sky scraper peering over the ledge watching the cars beneath scurrying about the labyrinth of roads I thought about Walshingham and I thought about that post when I imagined him hang gliding through a bedroom window and then killing a forum goer with his bare hands. I looked deep within myself and knew that it was time to take action and change who I am since the person I was obviously wasn't good enough. I conquered the cosmos and today, I got a job. Thank you Walshingham, if I was of age I'd buy you a beer you grisly old bastard I love ya.

I had an interview today for a job at school. It was a far cry from the last couple of interviews I've had over the years which were in all honestly a complete debacle in terms of human social behavior and should be crimes against humanity. I was still ridiculously nervous and about to have a heart attack but I pretended like I had confidence and tried to keep my cool (aka miraculously not sweating profusely through my clothes) and before I knew it there was laughter, there was crying, there was hope. My biggest problem is always having short interviews and this was no exception. I clocked in at about 14 minutes tops but it was a new personal best in regards to how well I spoke and interacted with the interviewers. The first question went alright but the next 3-4 I nailed pretty hard core but I kind of just ran out of steam and fell flat towards the end. My answers became increasingly short and unstructured with lots of "hmms" and "umms" but I'm still pretty happy with how it all went down. They seemed pretty interested and it fits my schedule perfectly so we will see in the next coming week or so. Luckily if this doesn't pull through I can always work at the city where I'm kind of guaranteed a job. It just means starting at below 7 dollars an hour and working with a bunch of high schoolers and stuff. :'(

Avatar was good overall however the last episode sucked. It was just way too dbzish and for me had a weird vibe that I didn't like. Plus a deus ex machina! Inappropriate use of an already crappy plot device. It would be awesome if they made a new avatar series in a different time period but much more mature but that isn't going to happen.
