Your quite knowledgeable about houses Taks. When I buy my cabin I'll be sure to send you a pm so be ready in about 25 years. But seriously it would be so awesome to have a place where no ones really around. Ideally it would be sweet to have a place on the far outskirts of a large city. Close enough to where you can get high speed internet and all the others luxuries and conveniences of the city but far enough to where you don't have to deal with traffic and crazy minorities on regular basis and of course have the money to sustain this life style for as long as you wish, which if I remember correctly your some kind of communication god and could do it, though I could be confusing you with like the other 20 people on the board who seemingly are also high ranked in that area. Aint that weird....maybe if I camp out here long enough I'll be successful too. Though I doubt cat farms will gain any market leverage within the next couple of decades. Way too progressive and ahead of its time.

Who actually opens up 20-30 tabs at a time? That is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of. Edit: Unless someone uploads a doujin on 4chan or something I can't possibly understand.

Editing this post becuase it became too confusing. In the end 20% is the magic number for a down payment. You don't have to get private mortgage insurance but its also low enough to where you aren't wasting money that could be invested and get a much better rate of return. In conclusion I hate the system and I'm going to be a hermit in the forest worshiping my woodland critter friends.

You guys are going to think I'm crazy but when it comes time for me to buy a house I'm going to blow old timer house buying out of the water and go with 30% down, at least. I just don't believe in mortgages and I think they are stupid and retarded and that people need to learn how to save money instead of buying crap they can't afford so I'm going to save up like a 100 grand through investments or cd's, I'm not too sure on the means yet but through some way where I'm not losing through inflation but still gaining money that I would otherwise be getting through equity in the home and then in the end I'd be saving money becuase I wouldn't be paying interest for 15 years. Is this the candy factory? Because yall are a bunch of suckers. Mwhahahah.

Hush! They think they've got us all figured out. Don't disillusion the poor dears. I'm going to venture a guess and say most women haven't even got themselves figured out.

Yeah there was a time when I could knock half or more of that off in one over night, easily....

Are you serious? That is a huge deal. That's like completely unheard of in the U.S not to have a home inspection. What most homeowners don't do though is get enough inspectors. They usually get a general inspector (usually a mediocre one if they are lucky) when they should get that and others that are specialists in other areas. I mean we are talking about cumulative 1 grand, maybe a tad more if you don't shop around, for something that could potentially save you tens of thousands of dollars or more. Unless you know the general inspector is really good and they have the option of a deeper inspection I'd recommend foundation, plumbing, electrical, chimney, pests/mold, and general inspector.

I'm hesitant to agree with hurlshot not knowing the amount of the mortgage or your credit rating and all that jazz but he's right. Some experts believe that we have hit or will soon hit the bottom in housing. The market will definitely come back in a couple of years but no where near where it was before all this crap went down so you will still likely have a bunch of equity once things turn around if this neighborhood is as affluent as you say. As far as negotiating you definitely have to listen to your parents. My family is friends with the owner of a prominent real estate firm and the guy is nothing short of a jerk when dealing with outside parties. You have got to be firm and make it seem like you can walk away at any time. As messed up as it is if they are selling their home in this market they most likely can't afford their mortgage so they are probably desperate to get out of this thing. If you can't get the price down then try to get other incentives like making them pay the closing costs, home warranty, etc. I definitely don't think you should buy a home that you aren't sure you can finance though. If the monthly mortgage is questionable I'm not sure I would do it. Something always comes up. Then again there's always things you can do to get by.

Walsingham killed a guy once. As far as I'm concerned he's qualified.

Where were you initially from? Certainly not australia right?

It could double as a stationary cat storage facility device.

Yeah psych is the better of the two imo. I've only really seen a handful of episodes of Monk. I wouldn't look into the early episodes of the show if you plan on watching though since they had some like New Yorker chick being his assistant and I like the new girl a lot better. Some of the episode titles alone bring psych into even more awesomerness. For instance "Gus' dad may have killed an old guy." I know what your thinking. A lead character named Gus? preposterously sweet, I know.

I cannot wait for the return of Dexter, Ultimate Fighter, and House. I've also picked up a few shows lately in the mean time, Psych and Monk. I used to catch a glimpse of these shows and scoff from afar but they are actually pretty good. Psyche is actually a really good show considering its on cable tv and actually funny. Mind you it's a silly kind of humor but I like it none the less. I'm interested in The Fringe and how that will turn out but still basically a rip off of his previous show Heroes just darker and more x files-ish I guess. I suppose I will catch Heroes, Lost, Entourage and a few other shows but they have all either just gotten too crazy and left any semblance of what made them charming in the begining or its just been too long since they've aired or both. Also looking forward to the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon.

Today was my second day of work.....and I don't want a job anymore. :'( I already have a work related injury and all I've done is data entry to this point. My freakin neck is sore from being hunched over a computer screen for 6 hours in a row. Today was mildly worse than the first day though becuase time went by so agonizingly slow. For about a solid 2 hours I would catch the time. Then I would type in a bunch of student data, stare outside the window, continue typing, look around my cubicle at stuff and wonder how I'm going to squeeze in the most amount of cat related work inspiration posters I could. Then I'd check the time. What felt like 10 minutes ended up being 2 maybe 3 at the most. Then I had lunch, which I brought with me. Amazingly that came and went in no time and then back to work where the sands don't even freakin move I hate you father time. I did get to leave 10 minutes early except I came in 10 minutes before my shift. I suppose I should be happy that I don't answer phones, yet. I'll just have to wait a couple of weeks and get to know the people better before I can ask to listen to talk radio or something. Luckily my cubicle is on the second floor right above the entrance of the building so I'm basically all by myself back there and the other student worker works opposite days than me. There's like one black dude who is like 10 feet away from me and a business teacher I had but she's only there an hour or two. and taks. You're crazy and if by crazy you think I mean awesome, maybe a little bit.

Today was my first day on the new job. It was pretty simple but with all new jobs the first day sucks horribly. I'll have to give myself a week or two to adapt to my new schedule but either way Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to suck because I have work and class an hour apart. Plus all this driving is something so foreign to me and something I've been successful in avoiding up until now. I'm glad I dropped Philosophy though. I have a headache and am hungry. Perhaps this isn't a coincidence. I'll have to investigate further, to the pantry!

How about you pull her aside after class when the guys not around and tell her or if your school uses webcampus or you have her email shoot her an email. Being anonymous about it is completely unnecessary and could cause more danger waiting for her to get the message. Just explain the situation to her but don't try to scare the hell out of her either. Keep the tone light but informative that this guy is a scum bag. You'll look like the good guy so you can move in afterwords. I had 3 of my classes today, one involved both a lecture hall and an ethnic professor. Then another involved a menopausal women who literally talked for 2 hours about her tired old jokes and outdated and irrelevant work/life experiences. Then we did about 5 minutes of actual work in a 40 minute period. Then I came home and checked out my online class which was literally a sick joke. It's an information systems class and taught you how to use word. There was a section that told you such crucial knowledge such as that the up arrow, moves your "insertion point" (that's literally what they call the blinking line thing) up and that the space bar, get this, creates a space. No wonder the school got cut a million dollars in their budget. Mwhahah your going to burn while I receive a paycheck from you while going to a competing school. God I'm awesome. There is cosmic justice for them I suppose. I have a business law class tomorrow that is worth 0 credits but its required as a prereq for a higher business law course required for the major. It's taught by an actual judge in the city and has a book that is over 1k and its own study guide. I opened up to the first chapter and my soul shed a single tear inside. This is why god created mercy aneurysms.

Looks awesome GD. Once the landscaping goes in (if you have it int he budget ) and it should definitely be awesome. Congrats.

I think this is a little naive. There could have been tons of reasons why guys didn't want to date you, most of them were probably retarded, its just like what women do. It's like when they say they want a nice guy, but news flash nice guys are boring. As much as women want a guy with confidence (arrogance) men want very similar traits. Why go through the trouble of setting the ground work with a nice and educated and cute girl when you get with someone who is dumb and easily manipulated with the added benefit of being hot? It's a question of time lines. One is like 3 months or more while the other, depending on how good looking you are and how shallow the other person is, could be less than a week. Also girls can ask guys out as well and trust me even though it might be awkward at first I think most guys would think that is amazingly bold and sexy. Though this only works if you certainly are cute. Some girl came on real strong to me once and believe me I was greatly flattered but I had to turn her down really hard. I was like an 8.32 and she was like a rough 6 maybe even a 5.7 so I had no choice. Maybe if she was a 7 I would have considered it but a 6 is like astronomical. It's like when you see those fat sweaty dudes hanging out with the hot chick with the nice ass and you are like wow that girl definitely got molested as a child. I secretly wish sometimes I was that guy. I got the sweaty part down. :'(

I completely stand by his actions becuase it makes a hilarious picture. Also the wrestler who got disqualified becuase he through his bronze down and stormed out of the building finally had this match reviewed and was judged he was right. http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/beijing/w...p&type=lgns

I've disliked all the bond films as well, save the last one with the new bond but it was still cheesy and altogether lame. Bourne is so much better in the spy/action genre becuase it doesn't involve end of the world scenarios (which are almost always retarded no matter the universe or story), he doesn't use fantastically dumb gadgets, and he also doesn't rely on shallow man children irking to see some mildly famous hot girl get in bed with Bond. Collectively the Bond series is ridiculous and in my opinion trash.

I watched the cinematic trailer for wrath of the lich king about 27 times since yesterday and it only gets better with age. If you'd like it's conveniently located in my signature with the narration as well so you can read along or even recite it aloud if you are so inclined. Of course I won't be playing wrath of the lich king becuase I hate mmo's but it's definitely an awesome watch becuase blizzard is number 1 developer and the level of design in this movie is so excruciatingly awesome it must be seen my many. Imagine an animated movie of that quality. It'd be heaven.

So I found out an acquaintance of mine died from brain surgery yesterday. About junior/senior year he was diagnosed with brain cancer and subsequently went under the knife. He lost hearing in one ear and some slight facial control loss and needed to relearn how to swallow becuase he had a feeding tube for so long however besides that he seemed to have a clean bill of health and on the right track. I suppose it came back and he didn't make it this time. I didn't know him well besides playing a few games of poker at his house and a few instances of hanging out with the same friends but he was a really cool cat and its pretty sad for his family. Anyways, school begins Monday and then Thursday I start work. Should be pretty insane for the next few months but I'm welcoming it since I've been doing the antithesis the past 3 months. I'm just wondering whether or not I should continue past the semester and break to work. I know I should to get the 1 year mark down on a resume but it means I'll have to split schools again which not only makes thing more difficult since the university sucks but its also basically negates my scholarship, unless I fill out some bs paper work, making it cost more money. It's not exactly that big of a deal since we can easily afford it but its the principle. The principle of when organizations get big they become unruly bastardized institutions of retardom and I hate them and I don't want to go there but they are the only ones who offer anything worthwhile. And then I went to my other school today and bought books and freakin 170 dollars for one classes book becuase its like freakin 3 books in one package but its intro to info systems so its crap about word and stuff. I want to find the person responsible for this and systematically break them mentally and physically with a blunt object. They should just ditch the title of universities and just call themselves [something else entirely]. Edited by SteveThaiBinh to remove offensive phrasing.

I went to get books for school today with my newly found financial independence but realized last night my decision to get a graduates degree in accounting has pretty much been made for me since you can't become a cpa without one. Of course that depends on how well I do in the course work becuase you have to have a 3.0 gpa and of course later you need a bunch of letters of recommendation by cpa's and work under a cpa for a year or so. Kind of saddening since I don't want to be in school for another 4 and a half years and making nice with a bunch of strange people. Why does life have to be so cruel. I suppose on the bright side I have a delicious chicken sammich in my near future to look forward to. Kind of pales in comparison but still delicious. I also need to buy clothes for work and school and still buy books for my other school. First pay check I'm going to say f u to life and splurge on a ton of sushi and it'll be glorious and delicious and I'm going to have tea and it's going to be awesome. Second pay check I'm doing the exact same thing. Mwhaha. Edit: Also I think the black girl at the book store register liked me. A little too friendly.

I haven't read a whole lot of comics but I have heard that The Last Man is a must. I myself liked Sky Girl and Star Wars Legacy.

Yeah. I'm surprised he didn't call you a dirty kiwi or something. When you two are in the same thread its almost inevitable. Anyways, I don't think qt meant that in a derogatory way arch. She was probably just musing at how lost we men are when it comes to women and romance. Or she was just laughing at how pathetic I am. Let's just say it's the latter so no one's feelings get hurt.
