  1. You know those people who sell us food also want to have some vacation. Yet the stores still remain open during the summer even though the workers have a summer vacation...
  2. Few games in August: Deus Ex, Sword of the Stars 2 (niche I know), LOTR, Morgoth's favourite Bodycount, Driver, Tropico 4 and Madden. And most of those are released later in the month. First half of August is like a void. Not a single even remotely intresting game released before the 16th of August. September: Might&Magic Heroes VI, Dead Island, Resistance 3, WH40K Space Marine, NHL 12, Red Orchestra 2, Rage, F1 2011, Gears of War 3 and FIFA 12. October: NBA 2K12, Ghost Recon: Future soldier, The Darkness 2, Dark Souls, Forza Motorsport 4, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Just Dance 3, Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Silent Hill: Downpour and Sims 3: Pets. November: Uncharted 3, Modern Warfare 3, Metal Gear Solid Rising, Skyrim, Colonial Marines, NFS: The Run, Lego:Harry Potter, Saint Row, PES 2012, Halo Anniversary thingie, AC 3 and Old Republic. Definately no need to release maybe few of those games in late June, July or early August.... Used vgreleases.com as source for the release dates. It's like back in the day with movies. Most/All blockbuster movies would be released between late August - end of May. Because they didn't think people would go and see movies during the summer.
  3. Yeah, ain't it fun that nearly all 2nd half games are released in november. And all get crushed by two FPS Ridicilous. Did anyone release anything even remotely intresting in July? In the next 3 months there's like 8 games coming out that I would like to get...
  4. Definately not old and nice to hear they are adding that feature.
  5. Too late, sir. I demand satisfaction. Duel at dawn!
  6. One of the staffers at Pelit said companies do it all the time. And how it should just be ignored, since mostly it's just a trick/bluff. Though not quite sure how it would work if they weren't the biggest magazine in Finland. Then they might actually have to start listening to the demands of gaming companies...
  7. http://twitter.com/#!/Hakso/status/95478977363316736 No idea how legit that guy is, Gamereactor itself isn't very popular in Finland. In related news the game got: 91/100 from Pelit magazine. Boss battles apparently suck.
  8. Not really shocking news that the release date was pushed back. The original plan to release them 1 month apart was pretty stupid and not very realistic.
  9. The thing is there's so much stuff covered by the NDA that don't they usually like have to check anyways what info they can give. Can't remember who said it from Obs.
  10. Some contracts have pretty strict NDA's and developers really don't need/want to piss off the publishers and console manufacturers. For example if any Obsidian employee wants to answer to a Fallout: New Vegas related question in a interview they seem to shuffle it through Bethesda. Don't have a link to support that right now, but I saw/heard a week or two ago MCA interview/podcast where he said something about Fallout related questions need to be okayed by Bethesda.
  11. I think you might be right. I mean after he was clearly forced to sell the franchise to Square-Enix and every night Chris Taylor cries himself to sleep over the loss of his beloved DS franchise.
  12. Aye, and he sold the DS franchise anyways as he didn't really want to work on it. And it's not like his interview with Eurogamer (when he was still considering on working on DS3) make it sound like it would be like DS 1&2.
  13. Why anyone would prefer the attrocious combat in DA2 is beyond me. Waves of mobs jumping down the roofs in every damn encounter, c'mon. And few of the boss fights were just annoying. The one in Deep Roads you had to micromanage your party constantly or else they would be in LOS and eat huge dmg. Encounter like that might work in WoW and other MMO's, but when you have to control every damn party member yourself it just doesn't work. And don't get me even started on the dragon... If only they had kept the combat system and (some of the) encounter design from DAO.
  14. I don't know how they even think they can win that case in a European court. Unless Swedish court is some sort of a joke. But then again maybe it's just them trying to bully others... It sure has worked fine against Interplay
  15. I seriously don't know what to say. Edit: Oh wait I got it. Next up the city of Bethesda. Clearly the city needs to be renamed!
  16. Civilization 5 and I can't stop! Send help!
  17. 1. Change the subject 2. Call those who disagree with you "young boys" Good comeback mate. But by all means stick to your fantasy of gaming industry being the happiest and most rewarding working environment ever.
  18. Gotta love how you can't access those with an EU account.
  19. You are pretty ******** clueless when it comes to the gaming industry and how awesome it is to work in it. I don't know how going on crunch mode is stimulatin for anyone's mind. Nor how does "work harder" suddenly solve everything when we are talking about the people who work in the gaming industry and not at some part-time "come and go as you please" office job. But keep on trolling. Too bad the ignore function doesn't really work when someone actually replies
  20. I need to remove such sub-standard games from harddrive immediately!
  21. Considering all the things that are coming out regarding developer crunch and work conditions in the video game industry. You are a complete self absorbed and entitled moron. "Make games for a living" isn't an argument. Its great to do what you like. Doesn't mean its easy. And yes, you can totally take this as an insult and report me for it. +1 , Like, Tykk??n, QFT etc.
  22. After Doom 3 couldn't really care less for Doom 4.
  23. I think it has more to do with the dialogs in Dead Money, it's not the first time he mentions 'dying a little bit inside' from watching people cut through the dialog in order to get the XP. Content = Dialogue
  24. Good stuff. I'm pretty sure there was some not-so-hidden/subtle critique towards all those who rush through the content in OWB dialogue at the very beginning of the DLC. I guess that comes from watching all the youtube videos...
  25. Ubisoft is such a nice company. Still haven't bought Settlers 7 because of their DRM.
