And the final week of PSN sales is absolutely nothing. A good price on Ground Zeroes, but that'll keep me busy for 2 hours. Really needing a recommendation for what to get, guys.

I expect Dwarves to get mages every sequel.

Most suits have night vision built in, so night is primarily an issue in the start. Then again, I actually use a mod that makes the nights darker because I thought the original settings too bright. And you do have a flashlight too. I think, it's been seven years since I played SoC unmodded. Clear Sky is the real offender. SoC is visible enough at night. Clear Sky you can't see 5 feet in front of you with the flashlight on.

I just hope they gave a stern talking to the guy who thought a day-night cycle would be a good idea, when night is pitch black and there's no way to skip it.

I kind of want to play Tales from the Borderlands. I tried playing Borderlands 2 for a while then gave up after a few hours of hating it profusely. The thing is, I really liked the setting and characters, but I very much hated the gameplay. An adventure game/interactive movie set in that universe seems very appealing to me. I'm kind of waiting for the entire season to release and then Telltale to offer episode 1 for free as a demo as they've done before. Or maybe one of you guys will be a guinea pig. Maybe I shouldn't be so hesitant to buy Telltale games, I'm supposed to be the resident fanboy after all. But I always get wary when a company starts going to formula.

Ooh, or Lords of the Fallen. I hear good things about that. Sony's having a holiday sale at the moment, the final week goes up tomorrow. Leaks are showing it'll have Alien: Isolation, which I might get for PS4 since I originally got it for 360 and have since disconnected that machine. If they do any of those games on tomorrows sale, it's probably what I'll pick up. I know they did Tomb Raider, Wolfenstein, and Transistor already, but I missed it.

I kind of got tired of inFamous games. Second Son looks like it's been there, done that. Wish I could play PC games, but the only thing I have access to anymore is... just not good.

Looking to buy a game for the PS4, can I get some recommendations? I'm looking at The Wolf Among Us, Tomb Raider Definitive, Wolfenstein The New Order, Transistor, and The Walking Dead Season 2. Other suggestions are welcome.

I found the main story kind of ran out of steam after you finish off the Orlesian court and Grey Warden quests. The Arbor Wilds and then the final battle with Corypheus are considered two different quests, but they both "feel" like they're basically just the end run in a game that you know is drawing to a close. Playing a second time through, you get a better sense of just how short the main quest actually is. 90% of this game is fleshed out with those sidequests to the maps where they're not directly tied to the main quests. Arbor Wilds felt like Ilos from Mass Effect. A journey through ancient ruins for the McGuffin to stop the bad guy and realize something greater is going on. But Mass Effect had an appropriate setback. The bad guy gets there first and makes use of it. Leaving him on the verge of victory and the heroes to make the final attempt to stop him. And so you fight through the Citadel to stop him. But without the setback, without the villain working from that position of dominance in the final sequence, with his army and his power, a lot of the drama is drained.

So in the past two days I've beaten Dragon Age Inquisition, got the last few trophies for Shadow of Mordor, started and beaten Valiant Hearts. Now I'm starting Last of Us Remastered. It looks... off. Is it too crisp or what? I'm inclined to turn on my PS3 copy just to figure out what is bothering me about this too much. Did PS3 have a grain look to it? Was it aliased? Or is it just that it's going 60FPS now and my eyes are freaking out? Doing a google to see if I'm going mad, someone else seems to have the same problem. It kind of ends up looking slightly cartoony. Like the higher resolution forced the brain to stop considering it semi-realistic.

I beat Inquisition. Definitely has a pacing problem there at the end. There's no buildup in the final battle and he's easy as heck. Easiest boss battle of the series without even minor contest. Probably should have had a big epic dungeon or area leading to him. Like a ruined Haven, bringing it back full circle. I also got the Shadow of Mordor Platinum trophy, which is a first for me. And the DAI platinum doesn't look too far out of reach if I do a nightmare playthrough. Trophies are looking much easier this gen than last.

Keep in mind that one of the dragons is bugged and doesn't count. But the counter seems to persist across saves and playthroughs. Or maybe it's just the achiement/trophy.

Is it considered rude to confront cold callers with the fact that they act like they learned how to be friendly from a pamphlet? I'm asking for a friend.

Online conspiracy communities are gaining more attention and viewership over time. It used to be that particular fringe were isolated, occasionally published books, would be interviewed by low budget TV shows, and had small little conventions through newsletter circulation. Now they're finding their way to not only their isolated little corners of the web, but corners of popular websites like reddit.com where they can get the paranoia out to more people as well as reinforce one another in larger numbers.

At low levels it was tactical taunting. Doing it right before the tank to build up guard or right before an enemy died. then I upgraded the black and slash whatever to generate guard. When I got Reaver, I respecced for devour and dodge and that carried me along until I could masterwork equipment to also generate guard. Things get rough when the tank loses control or when there are archers/wraiths, but it's smooth sailing the rest of the time. And usually I kill things before they're a threat by using Rampage-Dragon rage or even just a regen potion for my Dragon Rage.

Keep in mind that some mosaic pieces are bugged. There's two bugged pieces in Hinterlands, though one of the two is still accessible.

Two-handed warriors seem kinda pointless. You're mad. A mix of control, damage, and buffs. Pulling with the chain, devouring dragons with rampage, and doing AoE damage while Solas keeps enemy groups together with Pull of the Abyss. And my 35% damage group buff that I keep up most of the time.

No, the argument's going to be what it has always been. You can't be about ethics in games journalism while celebrating the internet stalking of an iPhone developer and attempting to get a woman fired from a job in game development because of her opinions on female representation. An attempt that was so blatantly ignorant and misguided, it turned out she never had the job in the first place.

I don't think a more loyal adaption to the book could have been done well with only 1 movie, anyway. Two modest length movies would work. But the tone is definitely one of the problems it has, mixing being kids movies with LOTR style fantasy epics.

If your melee isn't specced specifically for defense, which it won't be if it's not sword/shield and Vanguard, it needs to be actively controlled to survive. Dodge is important. This is why I respecced Bull to ss even though I only used him for one mission.

Dabbling in two styles? In DAI? Ewwwwwwww. That wasn't a good idea in previous games. It's a terrible idea in this one. I heard daggers was pretty good, though, just hard to keep alive.

I hear Guardian of Light is good. And there's a Raziel/Kain skin! Last Remnant is notworthy too. I own them but never got around to playing before my computer died.

Battle of the Five Armies There's a good movie in there somewhere, it just needs the bad movie to be cut out. I've excused the love subplot in the last movie, but there's no excuses anymore. It's not subtle, they beat you in the face with it repeatedly. The weasely guy from Laketown does nothing but provide bad comedy. The Dol Guldur plot which is the big addition to the Hobbit tale ends right after the film begins and is completely irrelevant to the rest of it. The only good thing about the Dol Guldur arc is finally seeing Saruman, Galadriel, and Elrond fight. There needs to be a fan edit of this trilogy. Radagast can pretty much be cut completely from the film. There's only two places he's contributing, when he tries to distract the orcs from the Dwarves and fails (can be cut completely) and when he helps Gandalf escape from Dol Guldur. But if Dol Guldur gets cut, there's not even a loss there. I don't mind Tauriel, but the love subplot needs to go. And with this movie, that's her entire role in the plot. But since she saves Killi in the second film, whose illness explains why several dwarves stay behind, she will need to be established, but then trimmed heavily. Some of the heavier action scenes can be trimmed down. Escape from Goblin town needs to be half as long to a third the length. Bombur's barrel action scene can be cut, too, but probably not necessary. Dol Guldur needs to be trimmed if not cut out entirely. Giving a reason why Gandalf just before Mirkwood is nice, but doesn't play into the main plot enough. To be positive, I loved Azog in this movie. He was unimpressive as a Warg Rider, but he's cool as a general. Thorin, Bard, and Bilbo all shine.

I found a dupe bug for crafting materials. It requires a stack, 2 minimum, so I spent two hours farming fade-touched silverite. I don't actually need more than two pieces, one for me, one for Blackwall, since it can't stack between weapon and armor, but it's nice to have extras. Especially if I decide to start playing the critical crafting lotto.

This is from Remember Me devs? Maybe this change is for the best, then. That game had such exciting potential and this one seems to as well. Hopefully they can find something that works with their talents better than it did.
