Here's how that's going to go down. The creator of the code is going to contact her, ask her to put in the appropriate comment or readme, she's going to do it, and the creator will say everything's good now. But you're still going to be obsessing over a women who's not a journalist in a movement that's about ethics in journalism.

I think it's cute how you have to resort to codenames so you can pretend you're not obsessing over women who aren't even journalists, in a movement that's supposed to be about journalism. "Cute" is probably not the right word, though. Consumers asking people to make changes to their games isn't censorship. It wasn't censorship when Retake does it, it's not censorship when Sensuki does it, and I'm going to presume it's not censorship when this person does it unless they're organizing e-mail campaigns and petitions to retailers or governments. It's censorship when an authority does it. If the government gets involved, then it becomes censorship. Arguably when Target or K-Mart do it, too. But that's their prerogative. Target and K-Mart aren't free speech zones. Now I guess it's kind of a fine line. Because people trying to get advertising pulled because of editorials and reviews they don't like, well that's also censorship. But for some reason, the movement doesn't have a problem with that censorship.

I haven't gotten any writing done.

So Saturday I helped a dog get home, but it never has to be that easy, does it? I'm driving to work and I see a dog on the side of the road. Adorable little Shiba Inu, probably less than a year old. It has a collar on so I figure this is going to be easy. I pull over, call to it, it runs a little too daring into the road, but comes to me. I check the collar for the phone number and call it, no answer, I leave a message. Somewhat scarier, the number is a Houston area code and I'm near Dallas. The dog's well groomed and it's a good breed, I can tell someone will be missing it. I put her in the car, head to work, and take care of what I absolutely had to in all of two minutes. Then I start visiting vets to see if any recognize the dog. My vet doesn't, the vet up the street doesn't, but they give me the dog's chip number and the phone number for Home Again. I take the dog home, put it in the back yard and call Home Again. Turns out it's not a Home Again chip, it's an AKC Reunite chip. Call them, the number they have on file is the same number I have that doesn't answer. I call up to the only other local vet I know of, the Banfield at Petsmart. They recognize the dog's name! They have the number in their system! But... they don't know how it got there. They're a national chain, it could have been entered at another location. Anyway, I have an appointment to get some work on my car done. I leave the dog in the back yard thinking that if they call while I'm out, I'll tell them the address and they can just come get it. I'm 10 minutes down the road when I get a call, it's not the owner, it's my mother. The dog has disappeared from my backyard. Another 10 minutes later, the owner finally calls me and I have to explain this. Right when I get my car dropped off, I call my mother and have her pick me up so I can look for the blasted thing. I find that it found its way into the neighbor's yard, I have no clue how this happened. I call the owner, tell them the good news. Not quite done, I open the neighbor's gate and the dog blasts off across the road. It runs straight into the open garage across the street from my neighbor and into his open house door. He's out working on his lawn, so I try explaining to him, he doesn't stop what he's doing except to mention he has two dogs of his own inside the house. Maybe two minutes pass and the Shiba comes blasting off out of the house and heading down the street. I yell out "come here" and it makes a wide turn right back to me. Then I just hang around for the owner to come, not letting the dog down for a moment. Happy ending. Also my Soylent arrived today. Pretty excited about that.

Talos Principle looks pretty awesome. Can't wait for the PS4 version, because I don't think I'll have a working gaming PC anytime soon. I was reading about the HoM III HD version yesterday. Seems Ubisoft is claiming that the original HoM III looks worse than it actually did to try and sell this. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=949321

Killed my second dragon. Crestwood is disappointing after fighting the Hinterlands. I rushed her just to see how it was and saw I was two levels her senior. Beat her in one go.
-
Took it on at level 13 on Hard, right after got the KE specialization and respeced. KE I will accept without hating you. This time.
-
If you guys are doing the Ferelden Frostback at 12 or 13, you better tell me you're doing it on Normal. Or I will hate you. I did it level 15 on Hard.
-
I almost bought it, backed off, now I'm deciding to do it. Only the price and add to cart buttons have been removed. I bet the initial $5.99 was an error and they're raising it to $9.99.

Ace Attorney Trilogy is on 3DS eshop today. Suikoden II is available on PSN for PS3. I don't have time to play either, but I'm still tempted to buy. I'm not good at this whole "saving" thing.

Killed my first dragon, yay, the Ferelden Frostback. Took me three tries, I tried once before last week but made so little progress it doesn't count. The first time I got to about stage two and don't remember why I died. Second time I got all the way to the final stage before wiping. This emboldened me for a third time where I stocked up on fire resistance potions. Overall they're the best dragon fights of the franchise and I feel the Souls games are the only ones that are particularly better. After beating one you get a special drinking celebration with Iron Bull, the approvals pushed me towards actually getting conversations with him. And I got an operation to celebrate the victory, which is cool. Now that I have full run of the Hinterlands, I can also say that the mosaic collection is bugged. There's one piece that nobody can find anywhere. There's another piece that's in an area you're not supposed to be able to access. Just getting to it can make you fall out of the world.

Old thread. I'm being optimistic with the title.

New thread going up. Edit: It's up.

There's only been two big boss games since then, silly goose. But yeah, really disappointed with where Metal Gear Solid has gone. But it still needs to make up for how awful 4 was.
-
And clearly you have an agenda too. I'm not seeing how this is supposed to be a problem.
-
So basically information. Those monsters.

How long has the Uncharted 4 trailer existed and nobody told me? Saw it last night on my The Last of Us feed. "One last time" is selling me. I hated the idea of Uncharted 4 when it was announced, I don't like franchises to overstay their welcome. But if this is truly going to be the last, count me in!

What you would do in an entirely hypothetical situation doesn't amount to much. It's not unheared of, or even rare, for people engaged in artistic endeavors to want their creations to have a meaning. The ones that do are often valued more for the attempt.

I'd only agree with that if there's an expansion that builds upon those hints. If it's going to be addressed in a future game 3 or 4 years down the road, I'm not a fan of these unresolved plot points. Largely because as we've seen from previous Bio games where there are "cliff hangers" or unexplained events to come, they always end up falling short. Either the plot gets forgotten or marginalized (Morrigan with the Old God Baby). The only time these cliff hangers get acceptably fleshed out is through an immediate expansion/DLC. I'd actually prefer if they just wrap up all loose ends by the end of a given game. That way they're not tying their hands when the next game comes around, and don't have to include stuff that may not fit the new story, just so that the old story no longer has any unresolved storylines. I'm hoping there's a DLC investigating what is going on in the Anderfels, then a "Wolf Hunt" DLC similar to Witch Hunt but looking for Fen'Harel. I think the overarching story of the games is the wrath of the Elven gods, and if the next game is going to Tevinter (conveniently right next to Arlathan) then that would be a perfect plot point to pick up. I just think Mythal and Fen'Haral are such interesting entities they deserve more than a DLC to cover them. They deserve entire games. Anderfels needs to be an entire game. You could give the Grey Wardens the Inquisition treatment, most have disappeared and now you're the new First Warden managing Weisshaupt. Have to recruit new Wardens and re-establish the order. Bonus points for being the region with the only other Dwarven kingdom.

I'm excited for Gat out of Hell when I found out it actually has a new map. The biggest thing I dislike about IV is it reusing Steelport. That and cars being useless a couple missions in.

I'm not sure how you expect Halo's AI to apply to a game like Dragon Age. The characters don't retreat to charge their shields. So you can't have the AI come after them and flank their cover. It has an agro and taunt mechanic, too. So you even have control over their targeting.

Because he's not actually speaking, he's a wraith. I've seen a couple of people coming up with ideas for a Men v Orcs sequel where you have a ranking system for allies. It's just fan stuff, but getting enough positive reaction I hope it's considered for any potential sequel. It would be quite interesting, especially if you take out Branding. Just have Captains and Generals for the men faction with traits you can call out to help take on Warchiefs. Some friendly Captains could also refuse to ally with the PC, giving reason to favor some over others in going up the chain.
-
Branding is taking the fun out of Shadows of Mordor. Maybe I shouldn't be playing on normal, I guess. You brand the bodyguards of one Warchief, then you call him out, he'll be surrounded by hostiles and easy pickings. Then once you brand him, it goes downhill. Want to take out a Captain/Bodyguard? Just send your Warchief. Then call the other Warchiefs out one by one and they're surrounded by 5 hostiles. Even when I got ambushed by one of those Captains that stalks you all it did was end up giving me yet another ally after two wraith/flurry combos. I think I'm going to take a step back, make bodyguards out of every Captain I really like, and kill the rest. That way I can finally get some real rivals. I haven't had one since that guy I killed twice. First time I killed him, he came back with an eyepatch. Second time he came back, his entire face was wrapped in bandages/burlap. He's branded now, but he's the only one I ever established a real rapport with.
-
Got brand and branded nearly every Uruk in the starting area. I killed a few Captains by accident, mainly because the stun/flurry combo likes to blow up heads on enemies that aren't immune to it. And there was that one Warchief who I blew the head up because he had no intel to give me, but that was an accident, I swear.

Played more Shadows of Mordor, killed my first Warchief! What surprised me is he brought a bodyguard, but I intentionally killed his. This guy claimed to be someone I'd killed before, but darned if I remember him. I don't know if he's the same bodyguard or a different guy the Warchief picked up as a replacement. Took me a little while to figure out a strategy and I had to run away and heal a few times, which made it all the more exciting. The shield guys were really the only trouble to be had in it, so I would take my time at range picking them off with a bow before running in and smacking the Warchief around. Doing a stun, combo, finisher is seeming a bit overpowered. Heck, I killed the bodyguard in one combo that way. Edit: Also, I was doing a bow mission and right before I get the last kill a Captain shows up. Trying to deal with him another Captain shows up. I plug the first Captain with an arrow to complete the mission and try wrestling with the second Captain. Then my frickin Nemeses shows up. I quickly dispatch Captain 2 with the stun-combo, and try to do it to my Nemesis. Sadly, he's immune to almost everything except the thing nobody's immune to. Drain. So I stand there and drain him to death. Drain is also overpowered if you can get the enemy alone.
