  1. Sounds like an average game of Dwarf Fortress. Tantrum spirals, nobles, useless dorfs. It's touted as a feature. Urist McGlassmaker is possessed! *I have nothing to make glass items* *he eventually gets melancholic, stops drinking, and dies of thirst* Urist McGlassmaker's wife is throwing a tantrum! She throws a switch, drowns half the fort. Urist McDrowned's best friend is throwing a tantrum! He attacks a nearby baby! Urist McBaby'sMother is throwing a tantrum!
  2. I think maybe it's a time for a shift more towards the so-called casual market. Good casual games do one thing well, replay. Modern bigname games treat themselves like movies, a beginning and an end. But don't have the benefit of theatrical release. And are charging 3x the amount for home release. I think it's well researched phenomenon that most people who play modern big budget games don't even beat them. So, I'm actually kind of hoping we see more smaller budget games at cheaper prices. Though I imagine most gamers would be pretty upset with such a shift. I don't think I would, though. Games seem too padded as it is. The relevance of all that is with the potentially smaller budgets are lower prices. With lower prices are more attractive first hand sales. I think I get far better budget out of buying a Sam and Max season for $35 than I get buying the latest Halo for $60. Especially since I don't care for Halo's multiplayer option.
  3. Wait, so the five round Mad Moxxi maps take nearly two hours each. There's a twenty round challenges next? RABBLEFRAZZLEDAGNABDIZZLEMOTHERFRACKIN GEARBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX I don't feel like spending nearly 8 hours doing something that doesn't get XP or weapon skills. I guess I'll be doing Secret Armory next.
  4. That would require me to have not already fled in abject cowardice.
  5. If this guy is anything like his namesake, he'll be the last one alive.
  6. I guess I should recommend Borderlands. I'm loving it right now. Got myself a regenerating ammo repeater earlier and the game because so easy as to be hilarious. Now I have a regen pistol ammo class mod and am mowing everyone down with a quick fire shotgun revolver. So much delicious mayhem.
  7. I think they look better than Baldur's Gate II portraits. I have to import a Neverwinter Nights portrait every time I play it, nowadays. Though I had trouble finding good ones in Neverwinter Nights when that was first released, too. Baldur's Gate 2 portraits fell into two categories. Complete ponce or identical twin of a party member.
  8. The display of alternate morality systems and conflicting culture shift in Morrowind...
  9. It's very unresponsive and clunky to use, though. But I like the use of color.
  10. A few of them were nice. The ones that had you go look for someone or dump bodies. "I need potions" can rot, though.
  11. That is a nice looking UI.
  12. I would make a distinction between a fetch and carry quest that opens up a new area at the destination and a fetch and carry quest that does not. For the former, it's functionally a key that helps you progress. For the latter, it's just making you waste time travelling between two distant areas.
  13. But once you destroy everything in Guerilla, what next? Though I did love that game. Destroy these two buildings! *run into one, destroying stairs so nobody can follow* *nuke the building next door* *jump out window and nuke the first building* *FLEEE*
  14. I threaten lots of people with death. It's practically my hello. But yeah... I'd be kind of scared of that woman. RSPCA charges should hopefully suffice.
  15. The problem with the Mako is largely that there is absolutely no credible threat to it. The Council doesn't need Spectres, they just need a couple of Mako drivers and they could end every war ever.
  16. Whose brilliant idea was it for each of the sections of Mad Moxxi to require nearly two hours? GEARBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX I'm not even sure if you can save without having to restart. That'd be stupid to not be able to, but I don't want to risk it.
  17. My point exactly.
  18. You think Fedex guys can't open boxes?
  19. I revoke your right to hold opinions.
  20. What's funnier is that they actually hold the trademark for "droid" The droid (Motorola Android phones) specifically mention using it under license. Which I thought was bizarre when I saw the legal. I support enforcement of the trademark in this case, since it's using the Jedi name, but "levitating" is utter nonse.
  21. Is it that bad? I haven't replayed ME2 since before the Hammerhead was released, but I never imagined...
  22. That was kind of awesome. I initially thought that Masq was getting his ass kicked once the High Templars started showing up. Then I double checked his pop...
  23. I just realized that Grom isn't on the list. He'd make a wonderful Sorcerer.
  24. Only if he's bigoted against his own kind will I accept this indignity.
  25. Halfling? HALFLING! RABLGRBLARGHLAMBASTEDFLABERDAGNABIT I hate Halflings.
