How can one claim that a game built on D20 is similar to a TPS?

I take offense to all three of those descriptions. I've never been accused of being hip or cool in my life. And I've not touched an MMO in over a year.

o/ Excellent. If we have enough, I might do a succession game. Otherwise I might do a solo let's play to drum up general interest. Been wanting to story out a sky fortress game, anyway.

How many people here are familiar with Dwarf Fortress?

I'm now rethinking and we need something that allows for succession games. Those tend to be hilarious. Been reading a lot of good Dwarf Fortress succession games of late. I know we did a Civ 4 succession before.

Why did "give fighters something to do other than auto attack and trip" get turned into "computer games." A sad day.

To be fair, those were the first two games I've particularly liked since Throne of Bhaal. KOTOR was good, too.

DLC might be delicious. But it would have to be quite extensive to take advantage of the games strengths.

I just beat Borderlands. I take back everything negative I've ever said about Gearbox. Pretty far into Zombie Island, then onto the other two xpacs and to wait for the upcoming one. Overlord is a shining example of the function of dual analog sticks. It's ported well to the PC, you just need a gamepad.

Read Kotaku's hands on. Didn't really gleam anything new about it, but the narrative continues irks me. The "no, that's not how it happened" part in particular. It's not just one narrator telling the other narrator that their narration is incorrect, it seems like the narrator is telling the player that his play is incorrect. It takes away ownership of the character by telling you that it's wrong. Origins didn't have a strong narrative, so it shouldn't bother me much. But it just seems silly.

I was having problems with my computer shutting off while playing games not long ago. I assumed it was power supply so got it replaced. It's only happened twice since then. But now the Event Log is telling me that my graphics card is overheating and that's what prompted the shut down. I'm certain I checked before and didn't see anything. But I can't help but think I replaced the power supply for nothing. Here's hoping a clean updated graphics driver can fix it. Graphics card isn't showing any signs of damage yet, so that's good.

Dragon Age's advertising has always been terrible. More melodramatic or NEW **** than the actual game turned out to be. Not that Origins didn't at least try to be dark, edgy, and brooding. They were just smart enough to toss in three characters that were actually FUN to balance it out. I only count 2, who's the third? Ohgren, Shale, and Alistair. Though Alistair's kind of a part timer. So maybe 2 1/2.
