That would make sense if the manual was made for HTML. But the manuals are made for printing. The PDF manuals are copies of the source file they printed and tossed in the packaging. It's right inane to create a new manual off a new template just to shoehorn it into HTML. I made my share of crappy geocities sites back in the day. And I used notepad, dag nabbit. Unlike you lazy kids these days.

You don't think a simple php or html format would have worked a bajillion times better ? You do know that PHP is scripting, right? And HTML is pretty much only good for viewing webpages, not actual documents. I won't even guess what it would take to convert the source material into HTML. And then set up appropriate links for all of the images instead of just putting it all into one file. No, they wouldn't work better.

I didn't miss that, but I apparently forgot it. I thought I'd heard a while back that appearances were set this time around. Or maybe I just inferred it when they created a default female appearance after never doing that for Mass Effect.

PDF is searchable. If it's not scanned into the format.

How do its OS requirements affect its awesomeness? I'd think it's pretty obvious. If I can't play it, it's impossible for it to be awesome.

Started Dawn of War II. Campaign is more fun than I thought it would be, but it's not engaging me enough to sit down for hours with it. I'll try out King's Bounty now.

Beat Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. So, definitely not a spinoff or whatever. It's somewhere between expansion and sequel. Really liked it. If you're a fan of the series, you'll want to pick it up.

Generally, the non-violent solutions were "try to sneak past it down corridors filled with them." Even the android one had you visit a Mirelurk nest. It did real well until that point. I think Raven Rock was probably the best one, though, you could sneak under them.

It's one quest. There's actually 3 ways to resolve it, though one counts as failure, but provides plenty of XP and a happy ending slide. And I'd contend that people throw around C&C too much. The high hard road / easy low road is a bloody stable of the genre when it comes to actually making skills worthwhile. It's the only way to make skills valuable when everything else can be solved by shooting. Making all skills equivalent in each instance doesn't strike me as desirable. And is a drastic improvement over Fallout 3, where the solution was always shooting.
