The yellow lights are save points. He's talking about Chapterhouses, like where you find Odo in the demo. I think the teleporter is probably that dragon arch.

In related news, now available for pre-order from Steam (10% off). Amazon.com is still the better deal ($20 credit and 3" comic). Steam also has all previous FEAR games on sale as a bundle. I have no familiarity with Day One's games, but my impulse won't let me pass on the finale. And the whole Point Man/Fettel teamup, while getting to play as Fettel. Hopefully it'll be good.

Yeah, I haven't heard any outcry of complaints from the fanbase with regards to Madness Returns (I have it, but have been playing the original). But that might simply be because it's not popular enough to troll.

One review mentioned pressing the left stick to pick up everything in an area. Unless that reviewer was mistaken, I'd suspect that function to be available on the PC as well.

Have you played any Reinhart without your friend? I'm wondering how well he works with the AI supporting you. I want to play him as a ranged character, on normal, letting the AI do some approximation of tanking. Does your Hardcore play provide any insight?

That's the guy who did the great interview with Nathaniel. Excellent review. The textures definitely look sharper in those screens. Can't wait! Did they give it a score? Shame if not because you can't add it to metacritic then right? I think they can get it on metacritic without a score, since they have to weigh it anyway. It's just that I don't think they count Suicidegirls anyway.

Sadly , the gamers of this gen find that boring. They only care about co-op /MP no matter if the game have a weak plot/story. Ex. L4D games. I rather 100 times buy a RPG with a good story than a game focused in co-op /MP with weak story. This is not a new phenomenon. Wolfenstein 3D wasn't played for the story. Doom and Quake had their online success. Counter-Strike. That's the continuation of an old trend.

Gave it another shake last night. Played as Anjali. The witch boss was much easier this time. But I don't know if I'm stumbling over the controls or if I'm just not used to them enough yet. I keep trying to do some fast switching with the character only to accidentally block or use an ability in the wrong form. I like to start in caster, summon, drop the fire ability, switch to melee and pound enemies that are close, then switch back to caster. But I'd end up blocking when I meant to change. And when I wanted to heal, I'd accidentally change forms instead. I guess the control isn't intuitive to me yet. I hope that it changes with more time spent.

Alice? Correct. The first one, actually. Which I have to launch from within the second one even though it runs its own program. You can still play those games outside of the Origin client though, right? Correct, sir. Origin's kind of flaky, so unless you want the web browser, it's probably the better bet. It seems to automatically hook into Origin if Origin is running, but if it isn't, it runs without. The habit of Origin to randomly decide to crash on startup of a game (or maybe Alice's habit of crashing when hooking into Origin) makes this a good function.

I believe that policy was rescinded. It was in effect when I purchased Northern Strike, but I can now re-download it from Origin. I kind of like Origin. Their in-game interface works a lot better than Steam's. But their store and game pages have ridiculous load times.

I'd invest all my skill points in chewing bubblegum.
