I just hope Singularity sold well enough that more developers try their hand at the more narrative and gimmicky FPS games that Bioshock seems to have inspired. Right now it seems that only 2K is doing it (Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, XCOM), aside from a single Activision game (Singularity). It's a bandwagon I'd like to see the industry jump on for a while.

That's a neat bit of behavior, where the cop (soldier?) is trying to resuscitate a downed civilian, while other cops are keeping lookout.

I think reducing the burden of the aged would work by extending productivity. The concept of retirement actually bothers me. But I think that's a fundamental difference between me and most of humanity. Most people hate their jobs. I would crack a smile and laugh while being tortured to death.

Combat seems to be growing on me. I haven't given the demo a full shake yet, though. I noticed that when playing as the fire-girl, tossing down her fire special, then switching to her melee form made things fairly easy, but also a bit exciting. If the game favors more quick micro like that as I give it a harder look, then I can see really liking it.

That was a benefit of the 360 demo. It had a menu option to see the controller map. But the PC demo did not. Not sure why. Hopefully remapping is in full, but it would have been nice to have in the demo.

Did some side by side of the 360 and pc demos. They look pretty much identical. PC has a slight visual advantage of being a higher resolution on a smaller screen. Not enough for me to choose it specifically. Gameplay, the control seemed to work out for me either way. Gamepad's probably the better bet. However, K&M has a huge advantage in the inventory screen. That does seem pretty minor in itself, but control pad inventory bugs me. Select slot, confirm slot, select item, confirm item. With mouse it's select slot, select item.

I like to think most of my self-injuries have been 'inventive' at the very least. Who here has ever gotten a facial scar from slicing an apple? This guy!

Geralt stopped the and Salamandra. So his contribution in The Witcher 1 was significant. Hawke did accomplish something in stopping the Qunari. And maybe giving them back their book. But the mage/templar thread was set to go off without him. And he doesn't seem to have had any positive contribution to either side. Maybe he stopped , but what did that particularly accomplish?

Like ArmA2? Care to elaborate? The whole building your base on the fly and jet-to-mech conversion seems rather exciting.

Modern Warfare 1 and 2 (as well as their DLC) are 50% off on Steam for the Midweek Madness. I've been tempted to get these for the campaign for a while, but can not justify their normal asking price. Is this a good price for the campaigns alone? Or should I stick to my plan to rent for a console?
