  1. I'm wearing a monocle and top hat, right now.
  2. Played more Terraria. It's a fun game, but I'm losing my interest. Can't find nearly enough copper or iron. Nothing is really progressing. I've explored one entire cave system and another down so far that the game started changing the music. In both instances, I got so lost, I had to dig my way out. That's conceptually kind of cool, but it's just a lot of time digging dirt. And I got very little for my efforts. Oooh, I found sand. You know what I can do with sand? Make glass, then bottles, then a few potions I don't really care for.

Congrats, but I think your wife deserves most of the credit here. You don't know that. Medical science is seeing rapid advancement.

They did this about a decade ago. I don't know of any regular Wal-Marts or regular Targets. The last regular Target I know of was the one I worked at in 2000. Which closed down and started splitting employees into nearby SuperTargets.
  5. SQUEEEEE I love Slayers.
  6. Gave Terraria a try last night. Ended up playing it until 1:30 AM. Not as much a feat since I started about 12:00 AM. Anyway, pretty fun game. I think I'm more used to Dwarf Fortress, because I kept wondering how to make a forge and why my wooden sword is better than my copper one.
  7. Is subtlety dead?
  8. My understanding is that he gets his powers stolen by a wizard. And they hold them hostage. So he has to save the world before they'll give it back.
  9. Cthulhu Saves the World is supposed to hit Steam tomorrow for $3. It'll include Breath of Death 7. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...d.php?t=1886575 It's been on Xbox 360 for a while, as a downloadable indie title. The reviews I'm seeing seem rather positive. I think I'll pick it up.
  10. Finished Rain-Slicked Precipice Episode One. Moved onto Episode 2. Current plan is to try out Terraria after I'm done with it, if I finish today. Then get back into New Vegas.
  11. I kind of took it as them simply not appreciating her change in direction. Whatever the original intent was, they went with it, then were abandoned. They might try following it through or might calm down. Though, them trying to continue without her would be the most interesting.
  12. I can't find any mention of a problem similar to yours. You don't mention this in your troubleshooting steps, but did you try starting from an earlier save or starting over altogether? Does it occur every time you get to the lockpicking minigame or have you just been reloading the same save after the problem started? If it is occurring with a new save, I would recommend wiping the profile data for the game. It did work for you at one point.

From personal experience, it can take at least 6 years.
  14. Okay, who is behind Old World Blues? Because I might have to get stalkerish.
  15. Don't know if you got it, but Braid is actually about the creation of the atomic bomb. (and super pretentious) Braid has a hidden sub-text about the bomb. But that sub-text doesn't really match with the explicit text. Basically, he added some hidden stuff to the background to screw with you.
  16. I destroyed it, but the ending from that didn't even mention the heart. It gave me the impression she didn't care about it.
  17. The evil path in MotB is obviously the one to take and you don't get some lackluster "and you died alone while crying yourself to sleep" ending either. I ate a god! Not every day you get to say that.
  18. I do need to give MotB another play. Ahh, that was back in my "only play evil characters" phase. To be young, again... But then there's those stinking Warlock alignment restrictions.
  19. Another demon girl? I'm sold.
  20. Seems a bit of an absurdly high standard. Yes, Fantasy may not reached the likes the greatest writers of history, but it is a genre not even 100 years old being compared against the entire breadth of history. You might as well be saying "I don't like reading unless it's the great classics." Which is cool. But it does seem to be a limited perspective.

Almost forgot I was waiting to see if Space Rangers 2: Reboot hit daily. Made a last second grab for it and it's still 50% off.
  22. Finished Singularity again. I only figured out how TMD equipment works near the end, so I wasted a lot of E99 to no benefit. I want to replay it again while knowing what I'm doing. Started on a Rain-Soaked Precipice play. Actually restarted twice due to various character creation mistakes. As fun as I remember it.

I used to be a big Stephen King fan. Then I tried reading Hearts in Atlantis and Eyes of the Dragon. I can't even go into depth on what I don't particularly like about them. I used to be a big reader. A new book every two days. Then I tried to read Hearts in Atlantis. It was two years before I read a book for entertainment again. It killed reading for me. Eyes of the Dragon I recall being very awkward. I think it has a 2nd person perspective. Which was jarring.

  25. Interesting mechanic and puzzles that result from it. Funny dialogue.
