  1. I see. I get to enjoy the game's lore more if I understand the whys and hows. I wonder what happens without the reincarnation cycle, though. Kind of sounds like sentient life is doomed, and so are the gods. Basically, yeah. I have 2 takes on this (Because I'm not the biggest lore freak and don't understand all of it myself). If I'm wrong about any of this, then I'd appreciate any correction.
  2. So should the devs nerf walking or not? It’s pretty OP at the moment. I was able to finish Port Maje in about an hr and a half at the current walking speed
  3. You forgot to nerf walking. It’s too fast. Everybody should start with 10% stride. Also nerf swords to have only 1 base pen so people use daggers more. Remove all summoning spells and invocations. If you do that, there is no need to balance them ever again.Make every spell and ability deal fixed damage. That way you can easily balance around numbers! Reduce maximum class resources by 75%, so I don't actually use skills too much, because it makes battles shorter. Also double enemy HP so I have to autoattack them more. The list could go on, but why. Better question is, at what point do you uninstall? Never, because mods.

  5. I like Xoti :c She reminds me of an old friend.
  6. It was hard for me, but after stopping my hoarding tendencies in games, life became fun again.
  7. Should be placed in the Deadfire spoilers forum. Amentep may move it.
  8. Scrolls and potions/drugs can always be bought from merchant ships for a fairly low price. I never crafted any scrolls or potions so I could make rare foods for them good rest bonuses.
  9. Armor in this game isn’t like typical Damage reduction. It’s all based around penetration instead. If the 6 fire damage you dealt had 6 penetration and the enemy has 6 fire armor, then they will take 100% dmg (6 dmg). If your penetration was lower (5,4,3,...) damage would be lowered to a minimum of 25% (1.5 fire dmg) based on the difference of penetration and armor (too lazy to look up exact amount per difference). If your penetration is double or above the enemy’s armor class (in this case 12+), then you will over-penetrate the enemy, which leads to 130% dmg (~8 fire dmg). tldr; You’ll still do 6 dmg per second against that enemy because life wills it.
  10. How you achieved 18PL ? Well it says 18 PL, but i don't know if it's the case. https://abload.de/img/unbenanntknlwp.png Dude, you’ve got so much health a semi-truck could hit your character and it would get a small bruise at best. 25dmg/3sec is nothing for you.
  11. I’m playing through the game a second time with the Deadly Deadfire mod and figurines are a godsend. I run out of charges basically instantly because the summons are basically extra tank friends. I also have the same problem of saving everything until I “need” it, so I’ve gotten into the habit of just using consumables whenever I think they’re going to be useful without hesitation, even on simpler fights.
  12. We need dungeons like the very first one in PoE1: you enter and the entrance collapses. You don't know how big it is and if you couldn't rest things would get interesting. That would be cool. Especially on Iron Man mode.
  13. I actually prefer the shorter dungeons as there are less encounters that seem like filler (at least with the DD mod). I just wish they disable resting in dungeons in order to make injuries come into play more. (Right now I just tell myself not to use resting in dungeons, but an option to disable it in the menu would be nice)
  14. Ya, if they had a transmog/appearance slot for every piece of visible armor, that would be quite cool. I do think the actual unique effects are better than the first game, though. My favorite examples being the alchemist’s cache, the indecisive necklace, and the shifting chroma. (I love random effects)
  15. That’s not exactly the same. It would have to be the enemies hitting your charmed party member in order to mirror the situation, but enemies don’t hit charmed party members. Paladins have a passive that allows them to smack an ally and remove charmed status, though.
  16. Watcher’s blade (Nice and simple and I love it) Tarn’s Respite (Also simple but I like the color) Chromoprismatic Staff (Really cool looking and love the metaphysics bonus) Street Sweeper (Broom) Eccea’s Energy Blaster (I like that it’s basically an anime pistol) Magistrate’s Cudgel (Cool design and cool bonuses)
  17. Think of the two games like two differing penises. They have different girths, lengths, ridges, veins, bumps, hairs, etc. people are gonna like em for different reasons. Some may want a longer experience and others a more curvy and unique experience. The fact of the matter is, I don’t know where I was going with this.
  18. Honestly, you just have to aim better or dominate instead of charm. Attacking them and still having them charmed would be broken beyond belief as it’s basically a super long stun.
  19. My output log is attached below. I forgot to note that I was running mods, so if that's the cause then I may just restart. How would I go about sending my save files. I am not permitted to attach them to these messages output_log.txt
  20. On my second playthrough of the game, I decided to recruit Mirke in Deadlight and went immediately to Dunnage. When entering Dunnage I noticed that Mirke disappeared so I left Dunnage and re-entered the port to no avail. At that point, I decided to reload the game to see if that could fix it. Whenever I try to load my saves I get booted back to the Main Menu with the "tried to prevent save corruption" message. (All my autosaves and quicksaves have Mirke in the party) Is there a way to fix this, or will I be forced to restart the game? (Unable to post a picture of the error as the file is too big
