  1. I’d love to see more subclasses for priests, like maybe Tyranny Domain like spells for priests of Woedica, hold person, whispers of treason and other illusion spells. Have a water priest for Ondra or maybe a priest of Hylea with wind abilities, that would make the most use of her scepter that gives bonus to wind abilities. Maybe paladins of the Crusible knights and Dawnstars. I will try to make some more classes, I would love for everyone to contribute and maybe mod authors who feel like they could help out the community could make mods to integrate them into the game.
  2. I agree it could be stoic too, I though it could clash with dialogue options since honest and stoic seem to fall in the same dialogue trees. Tell truth or keep quiet. But stoic could match it well
  3. Hey guys, in response to the new update v1.20 which gives us access to a mod manager and makes the integration of custom classes easier than ever, I thought it would be a cool idea for the community to make a library of all the class and subclass ideas they have that could be integrated into the game. One of my favorite things about Neverwinter Nights 2 and other crpgs is the sheer amount of classes and subclasses available for us to choose. While Deadfire has added to the number it never hurts to go the extra mile with mods to tailor your experience. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I would like to start off with the Priest of Abydon, a priest focused on defense and uses a variety of transmutation and earth like abilities. Description: Abydon is the god of duty, preservation, hope, progress, aspiration and industy. The patron of balcksmiths, laborers and the Crusible knights, the god inspires excellence in your chosen field and encourages honest work and tenacity. Abydon sacrificed himself to stop a cataclysmic event from wiping out the Entwithan civilization. He rebuilt himself from scraps of his essence and the help of Magran into the Golem, a being made of metal, however the geas that drove him towards preservation was lost. The watcher chose whether to remind him of it or let it remain forgotten. (Favored dispositions: honest and stoic, disfavored dispositions: deceptive and clever) The priest gains spells that correspond to Abydon when they reach a new power level. The Blessings of the white forge: +Deflection bonus when wearing heavy armor and if possible, can enchant normal equipment to highest level but not legendary and add lass to equipment (meant to help early game not replace unique equipment) Spells and Abilities gained: Fan of Flames: Bellows of the forge Firebrand: lose access to spiritual weapons or if these two options are in the realm of possibilities: 1. Spiritual weapon: Warhammer, crushing dmg and 2. Gift of the Forge: add burning lass to currently equiped weapon/s Twin stones: the hammer of Abydon could send shockwaves across the earth Ironskin: known as the god of constructs, Abydon rebuilt himself into a being made of metal Calling the World's Maw Embrace the Earth's Tallon Rusted Armor: Corrode poorly forged armor Unbreakable: Rebuild yourself as Abydon once did, if possible could include Symbol of Abydon: deals crushing damage and provides deflection bonus Citzal's enchanted armory: Fabricate weapons and a breastplate out of thin air, and Incarnate: Summon Steelclad Construct The Golem Reconstructed Edit: Decided to change the disposition to honest and stoic, fit better.
  4. Hey guys, I edited a potrait of an aasimar I found to make a moon godlike, hope you like it! (Credit to original artist: http://miguelregodon.blogspot.com)
  5. Hey guys, I made a new potrait out of a qunari concept art image. I changed the hair and eyes to make a fire godlike, whose collection of potraits I find rather limiting.
  6. Named my galeon Bluefire gale, named after my favorite abilities in game: cleansing flame and storm of holy fire
  7. I agree, I don't understand what they mean by that, some clarification would be good. Does that mean that their damage no longer scales up and the only thing affected by the explosives is AOE? Explosives was my favorite skill, so this is kinda sad if this is true :/ For reference: Explosives - All scaling not based on PL is removed. Edit: think I got the answer I was looking for thanks to thelee, sorry for crowding this thread more
  8. Per request of @Kaldyr, I made a swashbuckler themed potrait! Captain Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed black flag.
  9. I'm going to be the voice of antithesis in this, but why not just a single class bleak walker. Single class paladins are really good, and you get access to some pretty cool spells and abilities, while still being a martial class. Perhaps if you don't like just a single class, you could do a Troubadour or Beckoner/ Bleak walker and prepare chants that are vampiric or necromantic in nature, such as the one which heals you when you deal damage and the ones that summon skeletons and spirits. If you have some problems with the bleak walker dispositions, how about switching to a priest of Berath who has a disconnected and unemotional outlook on violence. I also felt some pressure with the multiclass system just being in place, I felt I had to make a multi-class character, but I had a blast playing my single class priest of Magran and didn't feel I missed out on anything. Perhaps you may not like the character you are playing because they have access to abilities later and don't feel as fleshed out from the beginning.
  10. Edited the last potrait I made a bit, cause I really liked it. Now he has an armor that would match a devotee or priest of Berath. (Credit to the original artist: Lulu Ming Chao, http://cargocollecti...uconceptartist)
  11. It worked out pretty great in my playthrough, since my priest of Magran was agressive and a little passionate. He even noted that my watcher is a lot like Iselmyr and that he thinks it's a funny coinsidence that they fell in love.
  12. I absolutely loved playing a priest of Magran for my first and main playthrough, PotD. Cannot recommend it enough. The spiritual weapon did not lose much of its effectiveness, although fighting with Magran's favor later in the game was a little more effective. In early to middle late levels it is amazing however.
  13. I made a new background just cause I didn't like the plain brown one. Some columns in the background to match what I think Aedyran Architecture would look like. Of course the watercolor potrait as well. (Credit to the original artist: Lulu Ming Chao, http://cargocollective.com/luluconceptartist)
  14. Hey guys, I made this new potrait for the Troubadour character I am planning for my second playthough. Feel free to use it if you like it :} (The original drawing is Cord Sullivan by Gerry Arthur. http://gerryarthur.deviantart.com/. I added elf ears)
  15. At the guy who sells the maps at queen’s Berth you can buy the snakeskin grimoire if I remember correctly. It has a cool spell where you summon snakes for fist weapons and they are pretty good! Also at Arkemyr’s shop you can get a grimoire that adds extra casts but damage to the caster is an instant interrupt, haven’t found a good use for it since the interrupt is pretty bad in combat.
  16. A lot of the artifacts, not just this one, I found have 0% chance to apply their effects, pretty sure it is a bug or is displayed improperly.
  17. Edér is supposed to have a HP bonus if you pick that. At least, that is what I read. Lol, that's it? Galawain also helps you with dragon fights, debuffing them greatly. Think it only applies once. I only chose to fight the dragon in Magran's Teeth so I dunno.
  18. Kana appears with a fleet in a scripted interaction, if you do the f irst few quests for the royal deadfire company. In my case he became a prgressive voice for Rautai so I dunno what happens for other Kana endings.
  19. Don't think any of us that have any personal reservations regarding the ending hate the game or think it is a badly written story. I actually loved Deadfire and its story. We are only discussing the ending and some questions that rose from it. The questions regarding the Wheel and the cycle of reincarnations were not answered in the game that well. The new lore introduced also clashes with prior understaning of the laws of Eora's universe. To introduce the concept of Entwithans, kith, manufacturing a law of nature so integral to the universe and the function of life is a big jump from what was to be assumed a natural phenomenon in the first game.
  20. Didn't Berath say it would take a couple generations before the souls run out? I don't remember when they said that, but I'm pretty sure it was after you learned of Eothas's plot. I am trying to undestand his end goal. He gives the opportunity for kith to decide if they want the gods or not by forcing both the hand of the gods and kith into a race to keep the world afloat? Still waiting to see the ednign slides on the wiki just to see how stuff deviates, but right now I am disappointed but the ending, the last choice you make talking to Eothas seems to have little effect and result in jjust a little flavor variation for the ending. Feels a little like ME3 ending where everythinghas just a different color, in POE2 the last choice seems to add to a scale of +/- inginuity. Save perhaps for the ending where Eothas reforms Maros Nua's body into a temporary haven, the inside aparently is like the elysian fields, for the souls stuck in the in-between. Still leads to nowhere though. The archamges said they did have a plan however, should the worst possible scenario take place.
  21. Honestly, Pallegina looking angry would be cannon for my playthrought. It's perfectly in character for her to stay salty throughout my whole playthrough after my character gives ger a [clever], a la sarcastic Hawke style, response after having not seen her for however many years (which I hope is possible )
  22. I think that the watercolor conversion you did looks amazing!!! :D
  23. The way I work on the watercolor ones, which is by all means not perfect, is: 1. Adding the two layers, one the character and one the watercolor background. I crop the character model out by using an eraser. 2. Choosing the multiply option for the layer merge tool on paint.net 3. Tuning the brightness and contrast 4. Then poster filter (Photoshop) or ink drawing in paint.net (not as good as photoshop's filter, but I refuse to buy photoshop ). How it comes out depends on the style of the drawing, sometimes the sharpen tool from paint.net helps add definition to at least give enough material for the poster filter to do its magic. 5. Then cleaning up with the stamp tool. Extra unwanted lines or over exaggeration of dark circles. (1-3 I do cause it's the easiest for me in terms of matching the color of the character to the background) There are some really talented ppl on this forum and I think previous pages in the potrait forum give some tips :} I learned a lot from trying to emulate their style and approach for my character potraits.
  24. As a greek person, 50% of my math teachers were named Thanos or Thanassis, my best friend has the female version of the name
