  1. So, the game allows you to dual wield a one-hand ranged weapon like Pistol/wand with a one-hand melee weapon. This means that when at range, you fire the ranged weapon, but if your target is in melee range it switches to your melee weapon. It gives you all of the Dual Wield bonuses (passive -30% recovery and Two Weapon specialisation). But it doesn't give you the passive bonuses of the weapons if you aren't using them. So, if I put on a melee weapon that gives me a buff passively, I don't get the buff unless i'm actually fighting with the weapon. Like, the mace (Bardatto's Luxury) that gives Nobility (Resistance to Constitution Afflictions while above 50% health). I don't get Nobility, even though it doesn't require hitting or anything. It's just a passive. I hope this is a bug, so i'm reporting it here.
  2. I had this problem, but even after talking to Dereo and completing that I was able to get the second conch. It's on a guy in the Royal Palace area. His house is in the bottom right of that palace map. I was able to convince him to give it to me.
  3. Yeah, they have TONS of problems with quest dialogue spoiling stuff or talking about people you haven't met. Their quest triggers/dialogue are royally screwed. I'd have MUCH rather had certain places locked/gated so that I couldn't just ****ing walk up to where Eothas is before learning **** about the main story. Like, I literally found him and have a quest to talk to him and i've not done any of the quests that Neketaka gives to go other places.
  4. It happens to me ALL THE TIME if i read through a conversation and hit the button before they finish speaking. I end up with them finishing the previous conversation, while also starting the new stuff. I mean ALL THE TIME.
  5. So, just did a story thing while sailing around for a Reef. It checks your Helmsman ability to see if you can make it through without taking damage. Fine, seems cool.. BUT it didn't use my helmsman. I've switched who is Helming my boat, and the story thing didn't recognise it. So instead of using my level 3 Helmsman, it used my level 2 Helmsman who is currently a Boatswain. He's the original helmsman, but isn't in the helmsman slot for me and has lower helm skill.
  6. This doesn't seem like a bug to me, but surely could have been implemented better.
  7. I've seen that too. A picture that was clearly a dwarf, listed as an Amaua. it doesn't help that they only have like 4 pictures per race per gender.
  8. https://twitter.com/jesawyer/status/994276131573383168 The problem I have with this I have stated multiple times: It is not JUST the importing that is bugged. The world state creator in PoE 2 is incomplete. It does not have the correct options for Zahua, it does not have all the options for Eder, it does not have all the options for Maneha.....it's a very half-assed system right now, that excludes the hardest to get outcomes from being a choice. And if it's not even a choice in the World State creator portion, I can only assume it won't affect anything in game. Which is sad. I went back and played PoE 1 and White March 1+2 and made a character specifically to get all the choices I wanted, and now they don't matter in this game. They had end-game cards for them in 1, but they're irrelevant now.
  9. Links to the save before and after hiring Evokia. https://www.dropbox.com/s/tdaknaoncpzccue/Ixiar%20%28TheKrakensEye%29%20%283799bc9f-f432-425e-9b03-05809d0f7db2%29%20%28755668470%29.savegame?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/gj6oabcfspleogh/Ixiar%20%28TheKrakensEye%29%20%283799bc9f-f432-425e-9b03-05809d0f7db2%29%20%28755669386%29.savegame?dl=0 To reiterate: She was hired as a level 4 adventurer. it allowed me to go through character creation successfully, and then skipped right to level 3. I have auto level turned off, and didn't get to put the points for level 2 and 3 in. The first level it allowed me to do was level 4, and did not unlock level 2 spells. The game thought it was going from 1 to 2 in some ways, and 3 to 4 in others.
  10. I don't think I have the save file, but i'll check in a second. I was a level 5 character, recruiting a level 4 hireling, at the First Inn you find. The Kraken's Eye or whatever.
  11. In the previous game you could rearrange your party order, not the formation but the order on the pictures, and cut scenes that forced stuff like that would put the people in the farthest left spots closest to danger. In this game, I think it's supposed to do that but it resets that part of the UI ALL THE TIME, so it doesn't help.
  12. If i'm reading this right, with my new calculations where I didn't take the malus Sharpshooter should be the totals of the speed added together, then the base 5.0 divided by that modifier total. So: sum of modifiers: .21 + .3 + .15 + .2 Sum of modifiers: .86 modifier total: 1.86 5.0 / 1.86 = 2.68. So, if that math is right it should be 2.68 in game. In fact, it is 2.4. If I add the -50% from the modal: 1.86 becomes 2.36 5.0 / 2.36 = 2.12. The result in game is 1.6. So, neither the math as displayed in game nor the math in that thread appears correct in this situation, unless I messed up. But I spent quite a bit of time making sure I followed the formula you set out.
  13. Just started a new playthrough, and I found at least one source of the problem. When I first put on a pistol, it calculated correctly for my Dex bonuses. When I dual wielded by putting on a blunderbuss it calculated the 30% dual wield incorrectly. With my dex at -21% and Dual wield at -30% it should go from 5.0 to 2.765/2.8. But the in-game display puts it at 2.9. Even with rounding at both of the previous calculations, it should be 2.8. So i'm missing .1 second reload time. And that's only if you do them in order of modifier. If you add the modifiers together THEN multiply, I should be at 2.45. I will keep updating as I level and get new passives. Level 4 as a dual-class. First time leveling picked only Gunner, 20% reload speed. From the 2.9 listed on my gun before leveling, 20% should take it to 2.32. In game it takes it from 2.9 to 2.6. Re-loading to give it both Gunner and Two Weapon Style: From the 2.6 it was with just Gunner added, Two Weapon Style should take it to 2.21. In game, after leveling with both of them the gun is at 2.4. So the total math: 5.0 second base Reload Time. -21% from Dex, -30% Dual Wield, -15% Two Weapon Style, -20% Gunner. 5.0 x .79 = 3.95. 3.95 x .7 = 2.765/2.77 2.77 x .85 = 2.35 2.35 x .8 = 1.88 So after all is said and done, I should be at 1.88 reload speed. In game I am at 2.4. I am missing more than half a second. To add to this, the Modal for Pistols is a -50%. From the 2.4 I was at, activating the modal puts me to 1.6. It should be 1.2.
  14. The topic's are now showing up. Not sure if it was a forum issue where they just weren't loading, but I see them both now. To be clear, they were not showing in the forum list or in my profile topics when I checked earlier to see if there had been any response.
  15. So, I've posted 2 new topics with bugs that are not listed in the Known Major Bugs and both posts have since been deleted. No notice that they were being looked at, no locking the thread, just delete the posts. Apparently the Dev's/board manager don't want people to know how the math works on Dual Wield passive recovery/reload modifiers(it doesn't), or to know that Hireling character creation is totally broken. Good choices all around.
  16. Yeah, I've restarted this game 4 times now. Initially because I was learning new stuff and trying to get better, but now because of bugs like this. I've had him in my party multiple times, but the most recent playthrough up to this point it bugged out like this.
  17. They had MASSIVE problems with the respec system in Tyranny as well. It was never fixed, don't expect this to be.
  18. So, I just hired a level 4 Hireling and here is the issue: 1. Creation process worked just like a level 1 character, allowing me all the choices it should. 2. Character generated at level 3, even though i'd only been able to pick things for the first level. 3. Character had enough XP to hit level 4, like it should, but it only gave me the leveling choices for achieving level 4. So my level 4 character never hit level 2 or 3, and at level 4 as a Wizard is still only able to cast level 1 spells. I also only got the 2 skill points for Alchemy/whatever.
  19. I was able to go back. You can close the Single- multi popup if I recall.
  20. So, testing out Dual Pistols and the math isn't adding up: For Pistols, all of the recovery/action speed applies to reloading. It starts with a base of 5 seconds to reload, and the modifiers don't add up either of the ways I can figure out to do them. 1. Add all modifiers together and then figure the problem: A. Base of 5 second reload. B. Modifiers: -21% from Dex, +10% from Sharpshooter, -30% from Dual Wield(not the style), -20% from Gunner, -15% from Dual Wield(style) C. Adding the modifiers up reaches -76%. 5 seconds minues 76% (5 x .24) = 1.2 2. Figure each modifier individually. A. Same Base reload. B. Same modifiers. C. Math: 5 x .79 = 3.95. 3.95 x 1.1 = 4.345. 4.345 x .7 = 3.0415. 3.0415 x .8 = 2.4332. 2.4332 x .85 = 2.068 rounded to 2.07. So the 2 options are 1.2 second reload, or 2.07 second reload. In game, my reload sits at 2.7 before I put in the final Dual Wield style skill point, and 2.5 after that. That is nowhere near where it should be. Even if 2.5, half of the base, is a cap, I should have gotten there well before the final Dual Wield 15%. Especially using the first formula of adding the modifiers. So somewhere the math is wrong, or the numbers presented to us are wrong.
  21. Yeah, the import/world state situation is so ****ed up. Imports don't work, and the world state creator in the game is missing SO MANY of the options of end card you could get in the first game. Zahua doesn't have allof/the right options he had in POE1. Maneha doesn't have the option to complete the quest but NOT forget, like you could convince her in POE1. Eder apparently can't become the Mayor no matter how hard you try, or having succeeded in doing that in POE1. There are so many of the really good options, things you had to work for, that this new game doesn't give a **** about. it's like they couldn't be bothered to look at all the possible endings in their first game and include them here.
