  1. Dead island is a bit like Borderlands with Dead Rising 2 style weapon customisation. The maps are fairly large and often beautiful, there are a lot of optional side quests and some great moments here and there in the main storyline. It has the addictive loot hunting and the different weapons have a nice feel to them. A lot of average things come together really well in Dead Island to make it a fun experience but it's only a good game not a great one and there were parts were I was bored and just wanted to get to the next chapter as quickly as possible as well as some really annoying bugs (those may be fixed by now though) and the fact that multiplayer matchmaking was often terrible. When I wasn't frequently being disconnected from friends and randoms alike I was finding that where people had gotten further into the game with stronger characters they were giving super weapons to their older characters through the storage chest making them much more powerful than other players. It was hard to find a balanced group unless you were playing with friends. The story isn't very strong, the trailer and interviews were very misleading about. There are only a handful of different of enemy types so combat is always more about how many there and so while it can be difficult at times it's not very varied. Also the game has a death system like diablo so when you die it isn't game over you just lose cash, items, durability ect. The dlc is not worth the money so don't buy those.
  2. To be fair they've been foreshadowing it since the first scene of the series, especially the last couple of episodes with Jon Snow's snowy scenes in the snow. Also, this just reminded me of a scientific article about why a zombie outbreak would quickly fail. Apparently zombies can't handle the cold so it looks like
  3. Maybe they found a way to import boots of groin kicking from deathspank?
  4. But I've only just upgraded my PC to the point where I can properly play ARMA II
  5. I didn't see your post before the edit but I really did find the explanation Enoch gave to be a good read if that;s what you were getting at, I was worried I would still come across as sarcastic but I wasn't intending to.
  6. Oh, well that was interesting (Sincerely) thanks for taking the time to post that.
  7. The goal was probably more to make a statement than expecting to be awarded all the money in the world. I suppose it was still worth trying just on the off chance they'd be awarded the full amount though, a bit like the lottery,
  8. I'm glad that they wrapped up the "There can be only one" story arc with the last few movies rather than leaving it up in the air forever. It's just a shame that The Source wasn't a better send-off.
  9. Highlander: Endgame was okay, I'd even argue it was a better film for the most part
  10. RoboWhale would be woefully outmatched by Godzilla
  11. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/05/21/shout-at-the-devil-blizzard-acknowledges-diablo-iii-hacks/#comment-page-2 Accounts have been hacked including those with authenticators (no refunds on those peices of junk I suppose).
  12. I think they already are actually, I've not had any disconnects or lag in two days.
  13. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a crpg and is actually pretty close to what you describe. There are a large number of playable marvel heroes, it's party based, plays a bit like Dungeon Seige 3, there's a basic inventory, characters can be assigned skills and stat points as they level, there are areas to have conversations (though dialogue is not a big game feature) and tinker with the party between missions. MUA made it to the PC, MUA2 didn't unfortunately. http://uk.ign.com/ga...iance/pc-762708
  14. This isn't a story spoiler but it is a game mechanic spoiler
  15. That's not quite true. Some people put down money for the game during the kickstarter period and that is to fund the creation of the game and then when the game is actually completed it will be available for everyone else to buy for a fixed price. So when the game is released it can still be pirated but the developer will have at least been paid for the development costs. That was in reply to Rostere and I'm apparently quite slow at responding.
  16. CoH2 sounds fantastic. I'm really curious to see how the new snow system is going to work and also quite hopeful for what this might mean for the Dawn of War series as well,.
  17. If you close Steam before it has finished downloading a game/patch then you shouldn't lose any progress on the download. The % bar will reset though, so if you were downloading a 3gig file, closed steam at 2gigs and then fired steam up again it would carry on downloading that final 1gig but the % bar would be now telling you how much progress you've made on the final gig rather than the whole thing. That said, sometimes downloads do get corrupted and Steam will sometimes autocorrect and redownload bad files, I hope in your case it's the former.
  18. After you finish the game, whatever you think of the ending, you really must go to youtube and watch all the different ways Mordin's quest can play out. Hands down some of the best cut-scenes in gaming. And so now I find this on youtube ,
  19. Cutlock, I owe you an apology. My last post was originally longer and more polite but I axed a paragraph and didn't do a decent job of editing what was left, I didn't mean to come off as brash as that and I'm sorry if I offended you..

  21. After the big news story about Blizzard employees having all their personal details put online I can't believe they're still doing that. Thanks for the heads up.
