  1. On the republic side, the boredom of Alderaan finally overtook my OCD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=A4D-gYagJPA
  2. During my playthrough of The Witcher I spent two days trying to complete a quest that couldn't be completed until the next chapter because of a misleading journal entry.
  3. RPG Lady Armour
  4. Should I be sad that Long Island seems like an exotic place to me? My typical holdiays usually end up like this;
  5. I'm listening to book 2 of The Forgotten Legion by Ben Kane. So far it's a bit like Gladiator in reverse with Asterix's Obelix as the best friend, Getafix as a total badass and Hannah Baxter as the protagonist's long-lost twin. I've also bought and heard a little of the Borne Identity audiobook, it's great and seems to be a wildly different story from the movie even if it shares the basic outline.

  7. Being #1 for McDonald's restaurants is a good thing surely?
  8. Well if you're at all curious you can get the public alpha demo they released during their Kickstarter from here, It's the same link that the mod team linked to (and still have linked) on their kickstarter page so it's a fairly out-of-date version but still playable enough to get a taste of the game.
  9. You've probably already heard of it Gorth but Xenonaughts may be more up your alley. They released a playable demo when they did their kickstarter and it's looking good.
  10. Obviously when you add exclamation or question marks you are increasing the emphesis of your question or exclamation with each character. Some of the most emphatic exclamations and questions to be made over the internet were started in the 1960's and are still be written today.
  11. I imagine that as one is an mmo and the other is not that they aren't competing with each other for sales so everyone is satisfied. It's like how Sega contracted Obsidian and Gearbox to work on two different kinds of Aliens games.
  12. Duke Nukem reads 50 Shades of Grey
  13. Yes it is, it's one of the best co-op shooters ever (and if you like to play adverserally then "Vs. mode" lets 4 players play as survivors and 4 players take on the role of special infected which are zombies with horrible mutations like being able to spit pools of acid or tie up survivors with a lassoo-like toung). It forces teamwork by design, if an enemy pins you (and that will happen frequently) then you're helpless unless a fellow survivor saves you. It's been surprisingly effective at getting random people to work as a proper team. You get all of the left 4 dead 1 campaigns in l4d2 because valve patched those in freely and there are a ton of community maps available as well. The weapons and enemies all feel great, the levels are well designed and themed, there's plenty of funny banter between the survivors. You will have so many great stories where something has gone horribly wrong or is about to go horribly wrong and what is left of your team is staggering for the safe-house with bad wounds, no medical supplies or ammo and then at last minuet something amazing happens that either saves or dooms you all. I'd suggest at least early on playing with friends though and preferably ones who are also new to the game for the best experience when you're all learning the maps and what the monsters can do but even so l4d2 is one of the games where you are most likely to have a good time playing with complete strangers. edit: Ah, well it's a blast as a multiplayer game but it's rubbish if you're playing by yourself.
  14. Infernal Affairs 2 is my favourite movie of all time, you MUST see it, it blows the original out of the water.
  15. I found the game got much better after you actually get into the mine and fight the octobrains. Try to stick with it, DNF wasn't the best shooter ever but it had some really good bits in there.
  16. It would be nice if a sequel had multiplayer story-based missions in a similar way to how splinter cell: conviction handled it's co-op campaign.
  17. It's certainly possible but how do you top giant mechanical space lobsters that laid waste to all of galactic civilization?
  18. It was no Dead Island that's for sure.
  19. Recently read The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. I liked it a lot but since finding out that Brandon is also the writer who's taken over the Wheel of Time series I'm dreading the wait in store for me for the nine sequels.
  20. Dead island is a bit like Borderlands with Dead Rising 2 style weapon customisation. The maps are fairly large and often beautiful, there are a lot of optional side quests and some great moments here and there in the main storyline. It has the addictive loot hunting and the different weapons have a nice feel to them. A lot of average things come together really well in Dead Island to make it a fun experience but it's only a good game not a great one and there were parts were I was bored and just wanted to get to the next chapter as quickly as possible as well as some really annoying bugs (those may be fixed by now though) and the fact that multiplayer matchmaking was often terrible. When I wasn't frequently being disconnected from friends and randoms alike I was finding that where people had gotten further into the game with stronger characters they were giving super weapons to their older characters through the storage chest making them much more powerful than other players. It was hard to find a balanced group unless you were playing with friends. The story isn't very strong, the trailer and interviews were very misleading about. There are only a handful of different of enemy types so combat is always more about how many there and so while it can be difficult at times it's not very varied. Also the game has a death system like diablo so when you die it isn't game over you just lose cash, items, durability ect. The dlc is not worth the money so don't buy those.
  21. To be fair they've been foreshadowing it since the first scene of the series, especially the last couple of episodes with Jon Snow's snowy scenes in the snow. Also, this just reminded me of a scientific article about why a zombie outbreak would quickly fail. Apparently zombies can't handle the cold so it looks like
  22. Maybe they found a way to import boots of groin kicking from deathspank?
  23. But I've only just upgraded my PC to the point where I can properly play ARMA II
  24. I didn't see your post before the edit but I really did find the explanation Enoch gave to be a good read if that;s what you were getting at, I was worried I would still come across as sarcastic but I wasn't intending to.
