  1. I love GTAV, I just stay away from the MP portion. The single player was fun, though not lengthy like Watch Dogs or Saints Row games. Still fun to just do sill things in the open world for no reason. I imagine RDR2 will be similar in this respect. I'm kinda disappointed with Beyond Good & Evil 2's direction, of course I cannot say anything of the quality (since it's not out) but from what I've seen, nothing looks relevant to the first game. Still, I'm going to keep an eye on it because it does look nice and it may actually be good.
  2. I beg to differ, I recall Hella walking into battle all sexy, also Eva Green in 300 Rise Of An Empire. It intimidates enemies in game, a.i usually senses confidence and fears it, seems to work the way same way in movies for whatever reason.
  3. I'm kinda picky when it comes to Jrpg's. Most of them either require players to start with the very first game to get the full experience and lore, others have really strange battle systems that have alot of unnecessary features - though many Jrpg and anime fans enjoy that. My favorite Jrpg series is the Ys franchise, for their simplicity (and it doesn't matter what game you play first, since only Chronicles and Ys Origins relate to each other). My biggest pet peeve about Jrpg's is when I ask someone on a forum if I need to play a game before the new game and they reply "You need to or else you won't understand the characters or their motives". Thos really needs to stop in Jrpg's, we're at a point where developers should be able to clearly explain these things in the new games. I also really enjoyed Nier Automata as it was easy to understand, didn't have to play the other Nier game or Drakengard games to understand characters - they look a bit boring compared to Automata so I'm grateful for that.
  4. Lets be honest, James Franco has never played a bad act (even if the script is bad). I doubt this cyberpunk thriller will be any different. Lookin good!!
  5. From what I gather from the comments so far, is: "If Chris could have Obsidian shut down and doors closed, he would. And that wouldn't necessarily be bad as Obsidian employees would be free of the Tyranny of the studio. Seems that the game Tyranny was fitting with Chris' side of the story being brought to light" That seems to be the general consensus here as well as other forums around the net whom discuss it. I don't see the thread being locked anytime soon though (maybe I'll be wrong). Nothing wrong with discussing Obsidian or Chris' vendettas against each other, it's good for competition
  6. Hurlshot and Malcador, you may like this...
  7. For this one, think Witcher type but in space
  8. It's coming... Oh .. It's coming.
  9. I hope you enjoy your new game Lol you reminded me of the LoL Vampire Commercial/Ad!
  10. That's the most expensive coffee maker I've ever seen
  11. That already does exist in a way. Selecting any dialogue option will cut whatever vocalized speech is being uttered and begin the next one. Like Nier: Automata style where if you press the action button/key, it instantly mutes the voice actor and just shows text? True, but I think people will still complain that you must hit the button every line or couple of sentences. I often wish Nier: Automata was fully voiced (every line) it's one of those rare Japanese games where the English actors are actually better than the American ones.
  12. I have a dream that all Sonics will rise up and stand with me. This is a great thread, I don't think we should let it die. Disagree but you will only be keeping it alive *Evil laughter arouses* Muahahahahaha
  13. I see alot and while the argument will be "Those games are not the same genre" they still appeal and will steal Deadfire's target audience (No gamer really limits themselves to one genre anyway and many pc gamers also own at least one console as well). Here's just 29 of them: Yes, I know, this is the Obsidian forums so someone will come and tell me that they only play one genre or are an rpg gamer and don't own a console *Deep sigh* XD
  14. 1. Absolutely nothing, maybe a bonus pet but... 2. The base game, we don't really know if the game is good or bad so there's no point of getting a greater version at the moment. 3. Yes, yes. 4. Indeed! (Twirls beard) 5. Like the first game did, Deadfire is liklely to recieve better support from Obsidian through Steam (earlier patches, trading cards, achievements ad a great community on the forums). I would refrain from third party resellers, sometimes even the legit ones can be shady. 6. I doubt you're any less broke than the rest if us lol It's always hard to remember that a single guy with a low paying job isn't any more broke than a married guy with kids and a good job. So don't be ashamed of your financial status. Plus, money isn't everything
  15. I don't know but I'm worried that Deadfire won't fair too well. There's far too many big titles coming out in May and it ends up looking like a poor decision on Obsidian's part. Then again, June has even more great games releasing so I guess it's a do or die situation. It's a legit cause of concern for those who care about sales and well-being. We don't want Obsidian to go hungry now!
  16. Crystal Dynamics co-developed with Square Enix so I'm expecting less of the same than the frst two games. I also expect to see some nods to Hitman in this one. Mayan mythology in Tomb Raider = monsters and old style TR obstacle courses. Not too different from Egyptians with their snared pyramids. If you know what I'm getting at here.
  17. I'd say take a break, play another game and come back to it in a few days or weeks. When I get stick on something, I take a break and come back to it and usually works out but a few times if I try over and over again, I just call it quits, uninstall and never look back (very rare). Good luck!
  18. Strange that it's so bulky and yet the most elegant a d ergonomic controller in history. Tht lcd screen in the middle.... Might just have to get one!
  19. Tis the forums after all, only when we favor something do we deem it logical or relevant. Everything else is discarded
  20. Yes, just got the email myself. Seems like things aren't going so wellx maybe something got screwed up somewhere.
  21. Sweet! And nothing, just watched it, thought a beautiful video should be on a beautiful thread
  22. Is the game worth it or is it just being ovverrated/overhyped? I thought about buying it for my sister.
  23. Oh... I see. I see. These old eyes, are much tired these days hehe
  24. I agree but who here was implying that it was cut-content to begin with? There's no evidence to imply or conclude such a thing when it could easily be so or not?
