  1. Indeed. I agree with this and you, looking forward to Star Wars show
  2. Because having a compass has nothing to do with making the game feel like an actual place. Nor dies it have anytging to do with actual design quality. You're not going to argue this about Baldurs Gate having a mini map, or Zelda games. And the devs know this lol Wide open spaces with lots of foilage and randomly spawned enemies is always easy to get lost in regardless if how well people know the area. The irony here is that people call getting lost bad design but in a real life forest it's quite easy to get lost in too... Unless you have a phone/compass which has actually saved lives
  3. Just stop whining and play the 35 hour games I have alot of games in my library that are up to The Witcher 3's stabdard of quality though, maybe you do not. I would suggest checking out some rpg's on Steam. Dragons Dogma, Pyre, Galak-Z, Brigador etc.
  4. It really does, the night missions remind me of Shadow Of Mordor with the lighting, also you can burn carousine lamps
  5. I agree with Lexx, the stories were good enough to enjky at least. Loved the art style, which was in all honesty what made the setting/locations so good. The clockwork mansion is a marvel for game level design in any way you look at it. There are very few games that have a huge mansion that completely changes per floor via individual gears and Dishonored 2 does these types of things the best. Corvo and Em are likable characters, just as likable as Geralt and Ciri. I love how much choice the game has for a non-rpg. It's definitely an fps first and foremost but simce the levels are so huge and you have literal freedom on approach thanks to good use of blink and elevation, it almost seems non-fps because it's not at all linear. I enjoyed it alot more than Metro games which people seem to be fond of here.
  6. But Our President Trump isn't a wannabe leader, he's the president. He is THE leader :D
  7. Bloodborne is $7.99 on amazon, you can save 50% off the PSN price, if you want.
  8. When the forums get shut down, this thread will go down with it
  9. How does one counter this? https://youtu.be/KurMi4-ryqg It's simple, you cannot.
  10. Believe it or not, I actually almost listed Portal as well!!! Beautiful geaphics, terrible game. Sad but ultimately boring. The wife and I played this game called Loved Alan Wake, very Twin Peaks. Very unique... Which makes me consider that the Metro games might be horror in a way. Meh. It has that similar "Use your light to scare off enemies!" rule in its dark and eerie tonal environment but not sure if I can recommend it because it bored the hell out of me - unlike Alan Wake which was interesting at every moment.
  11. Me too, both would be great! I heard they're making one (according to their official Facebook page anyway) and trying to recruit India Eisley as the voice of Alice!
  12. Never played Clive Barker's Undying or American McGee's Alice?!Yep, I got em. Great for at the time but aged horribly to the point where story isn't strong much anymore imo. I loved them when thry came out though. Same with Nosferatu, it's become far too dated. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned VTM: Bloodlines, that's all horror with some fps elements and rpg mechanics to chew on which means length but also, it's one of the buggiest pc games ever - even with the user made patches/restoration mods.
  13. How many hours are we talking here? Lol The longest one I've played personally is Alien: Isolation. In the games industry, it pretty much set a standard for cimematic horror experience. It spares no filler, there's no fast travel and you have to wait as you ride in transports to each section. Time frame varies per person. It also has a survival mode. The shortest horror game I've played would have to be Layers In Fear, which I completed in 5 and a half hours. If you haven't played The Evil Within 1&2, you owe it to yourself to do so. The first Evil Within game is infamous for it's tutorial that spans the first 3 levels, in which many quot because they couldn't deal with the trauma of The Sadist. It's basically the best horror game since Silent Hill 2. It's legnthy and fundementally the spiritual successor to RE4. If you like multiplayer games, check out Dead By Daylight. It's basically a one trick pony with alot of grinding but the community is great and the game is fun. If you have a Dreamcast, check out Blue Stinger and Nightmare Creatures 1&2. If you have a PS3, check out Sirens: Blood Curse. If you have a PS2, check out Dino Crisis 1&2. Avoid anything with the names Clive Barker and American McGee, they're a plague! I'm a bit of a horror game specialist lol The Last Of Us was really good but I'd hardly consider it a horror game. It's basically a story-driven character action game with zombies.
  14. I posted the wrong ganeplay video, that one was old. Here is a more polished look...
  15. Damn. Looks so much better than Battletech
  16. The new System Shock game looks amazing. I've never seen cel-shaded art be so artistically infused!
  17. Let's talk Vikings with Scientific genius and actress Megan Fox https://youtu.be/TLR9g9dbNOU
  18. Nice looking Diablo clone, with some Gauntlet elements.
  19. Well, you're going to be disappointed because so far, from what we've seen, the combat is the worst thing in the game lmao
  20. Actually Red Dead Redemption 2's cover system in first person mode is phenomenal so if done properly, it could work. Oh, there's a video...
  21. Yeah, the combat is horrid looking but isn't it supposed to? I mean, it's a Fallout-ish game but I doubt the cimbat will be as good as Fallout 4's even in the final version.
  22. Kotor II is bad but Star Wars movies are worse (yes, that includes the original trilogy)...
  23. I really hope the new Marvel streaming service is structured like DC's. I'm just glad Marvel won't be tacked on to the Disney streamimg app because I'd rather pay for a separate dedicated app than use the same one, ya know? If you don't, you probably haven't heard of DC Universe or know how great they structured it. There's just so much content and the structure is truly next-gen that it makes Hulu/Amazon Prime and Hulu do inferior.
  24. Me too! The Otter Worlds seems like a nice mix of some of my favorite games. The ship/crew aspects really remind me of Kotor and the a.i construct on ship reminds me of Catherine from Soma - Even better
