  1. Like when you tell people about Kingdom Come Deliverance or Red Dead Redemption 2 and they say something like "I'll go outside if I want a realistic experience" but then they're complaining about newer games having too much casual play or where the game plays itself. The double standard in that type of gamer is too obvious.
  2. What's unique? What's similar to Fallout? Why should you care? A "Let's talk about it" video telling you all this and more. Prepare to take a deep dive into what the game features are and what to expect, the new mechanics that you are wondering about, character creation and more.
  3. Oh my. This season on Romance Chef with John Stamos!
  4. Have gun but no romance? You must be kidding me.Actually I'm 100% serious. There isn't one Crpg I've ever played where romances made more sense than your standard lazy open world action game romance. So there's that. However, I always remember stuff like a cool lookimg gun, a nice car or a weird room that makes me stop and say to myself (yes. I do talk to myself): "Wow, I wonder who thunk this up. This is crazy". That's the kimd of stuff I want to see stiffy!
  5. Well, I don't see any comments saying playing without such a tool would be bad. I remember Shenmue, an older console game not having ANY map or directive and being so streamlined that you can find exactly where to go. I still have yet to see another game - whether rpg on oc or console do as such, successfully. That said, this is a game that will have space jungles, forests and other things if the trailer holds any indication. I can't imagine that it takes much effort to get around a colony that has big signs that tell you where what is, the problem lies to where if there is a large landscape with lots of samey looking foilage and density, no matter how much info an npc gives you, no matter how well you listen or intelligent you are, you are not going to have an easy time finding a quest outside of the town. So I don't think this should be 100% relative to the game's writing/quest dialogue when there are many other factors that come into play here that people are not thinking of. Why would it have to diminish believability or immersion of the world and/or npc dialogue? That's not what usually happens with these types of things. Couple that with many examples that have proven this time and time again - I am meaning games with quest markers, map markers, etc. It is overreaching, at least til we see exactly how this works and if it actually affects the dialogue.
  6. Imo, catering console gamers and making a more modern rpg has never meant "watered/dumbed down", that was always just a myth. Take Jrpg's for example, they're often far more complex mechanically and rich than western rpg's, yet catered to console gamers. Nobody talks about it but yet they exist. I think The Outer Worlds will be a more simplified Fallout 4 but I think those over-simplifications will make sense, not because Obsidian is treating players dumb but just the opposite, complimenting players by simplifying things to not waste time or make excuses.
  7. Sounds more like Horizon Zero Dawns' slow-motion mechanic than Fallout Vats.
  8. I don't have to see the comments to know that there are those Fallout comparisons like "The Falllout 4/76 killer!" Because that's what I'm thinking. Maybe people will forget about it as time goes on because well, it's an Obsidian game. If the game does exceptionally well though, that will be good for Bethesda because it will push them to do an amazing Fallout 5 production. So there's that factor as well.
  9. PS4 is kinda like Vita, it's the ultimate Jrpg system. It has so many great games that will never go to pc or xbox. So if you like Jrpg's, you'll never run tired but I'd stick to Amazon. Gamestop only really lists what they get in so they miss alot of PS4 games.
  10. Romances take alot of thyme to do right... I'd rather have that effort go towards something more meaningful like making a talking peanut or a shiny toilet that floods itself. Something unique and different.
  11. Idk lol Looks like it. I don't think it's too big of an issue, I kinda expected it, seeing how we can tell the game is more modern off the bat.
  12. So they're basically modifiers... Reminds me of Bastion (the first rpg I played with modifiers).
  13. Hardcore rpg in some elements, casual in others. I'm already seeing alot of things that prove the game is catered towards console gamers rather than pc players. Which is good or bad depending on how you look at it. Doesn't mean the game is watered down, just mechanically/structurally different.
  14. As stated before, it's a more casualized game like Fallout New Vegas. The game was built with console gamers in mind over pc, even the u.i supports this. The thing is, this type of design is actually almost always smarter than the "No hands holding" formula. I wouldn't ever play a game with hud and map disabled unless I either have memorized the map to know where everything is or already played through the game. I'm sure they have a good reason.
  15. It says "Discover a colony" and "Use a ship to visit space stations" on the store page. My guess is the scale will be comparable to Kotor II. I don't think it will be short but that is just my guess.
  16. Sane exact thing here. I've never played a game that made me feel motion sickness in any way. Yet, if I'm in a car that I'm not driving (riding in passenger), I tend to get get car-sick. I think it started after riding a roller coaster that pulled alotta G's, because it was only after that which I ever got car-sick. Some kinda post trauma.
  17. That seems fair. Are you gonna get it? :D
  18. I love it. First-World Open-Shooters with rpg elements are some of my favorite games, even if they don't have much depth to combat. Borderlands (especially 2 which I consider the best one) was just SUPER simple but addicting gameplay. It didn't have much depth in world, story or gameplay yet it was great. Characters and writing were funny and entertaining. I guess it's all in what you are looking for but this is more of a case of preference, not actual quality. From what I've seen the quality seems to be there so that's good. It looks like a world I want to explore, bold, vibrant and odd but original looking. I already know it's going to be what I wanted from Fallout 4. And I like Fallout 4, it just could have been so much more if they hadn't focused so much on the crafting/base crap.
  19. When do you guys think it will be released? My gut tells me 1st or 2nd quarter of 2019. Would be cool if it came out around the same time as Rage 2. I would tyically say the generic "When it's done" byt by the looks of the gameplay videos we've seen it seems to be close to done, so that's why my guess is sooner or later. What do you think? When do you think would be the best time? When are you hoping?
  20. Currently watching... Survivor: David vs Goliath! So far it's basically pro wrestlers beating the crap outta D&D players. Preps vs Nerds. Muscle vs Brains. Cool vs Uncool. Blessed and taken vs cursed abd forever lonely lmao Christian looks like Ricky Moranis, the definition of computer nerds which seems right on considering he is in robotics club and design algorism slide puzzles lol Very entertaining 10/10 I wonder who will win.
  21. As long as Worf is no where near Star Trek, then Star Trek is fine. Michael Dorn as Kalibak = Good Michael Dorn as Worf = Bad Worf sucks! We deserve a better black Spock! DC Universe Streaming service has tons of things that make it more than a just a streaming service though. It's far superior than Netflix and Hulu which I canceled because they cheat the subscribers. DC Universe Streaming service is worth more than what they ask for, it's the only seevice that offers that kind of value. A true DC Comics fan would have to be a fool to say no, unlesd they cannot afford. Things that you get with DC Universe Streaming App: -Movies -Shows -Unlimited Comics -Interviews -Chatroom -Forums -Official customer reviews that writers, cast, and artists respond too -Sweepstakes -Exclusive subscriber store for stuff that you can't find on ebay or amazon -4k streaming And more. You just can't get these type of things from any alternative.
  22. Yep. It's Prey: Battle Royale, basically how I see it
  23. @TerrorK Uhhh What? So basically you're making excuses for every single Microsoft published game that cane to Steam. Better yet, Do you have proof of all these excuses? Thatwould be fair, at least but you're probably going to tell me "It's common sense" and I should allegedly take your word for it. I wonder what excuses you will come up with after more Microsoft published games come to Steam.... So say Obsidian games own by Microsoft go on Steam, what will you say them? I'm genuinely curious. I'm not looking for the "It won't happen" answer because you obviously don't know that, I'm askimg realistically what would you say then? Also, I'm not sure optimization is the issue. Seeing that the games I mentioned get good reviews by the gamers/playerbase. I'm living on the planet that exist, the one that's real. If you want to prove me wrong, I would love some evidence. Of course, you are always welcome to tell me that I'm not worth it to - which is a common excuse on any forum. Maybe you're talking about isolated issues with people having hardware issues and blame the game. I personally have all the games listed, haven't had an issue with any, it's not like they are badly coded or made through a cheap engine lol But yeah, if you're going to try to convince me that Microsoft won't put their first party games on Steam from now on just because Windows Store exists, then I'd just say: What makes you think they won't follow suit of Epic Games and CDPR? And more importantly, you focused only on the titles I mentioned, Microsoft still published more games and brang them unto Steam, just a few months ago fyi. If what you were saying was true, this wouldn'tbe happening.
  24. Far Cry: New Dawn seems even more experimental than Far Cry: Primal. I saw this video: And the more I saw, the more I was turned off by those 6 changes. There isn't too much appealing about it and maybe that's just because Rage 2 and The Outer Worlds outshines it in nearly every way.
  25. The new Prey looks weird... It's like... Why even?
