To somebody who didn't bother to check the link, your post would appear to suggest that this unannounced project was a Star Wars project. But the model is from 2005. So is it PG or something?

I'm intrigued by the Preacher series, but as CHUD points out in another article, the pilot's being written by the guy who wrote the POS Daredevil movie, and being directed by the guy who directed the Whole Ten Yards. So it's possible they could fumble this, but it's just the first episode. Could get into better hands farther on.

Exactly. But Alan posted his thing of Josh as a chav and was compelled to comment.

Whats the "curious problem"? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Harrassment, ogling, the odd assault and general teenage dumbass behavior. In England they're pests. The term "chav" is itself directed only at teenagers who wear plaid coats and hats, gold chains, shave their heads and who consider themselves to be gangsters. Thing "Ali G" in plaid.

I'd probably use ATI As well, but my computers get violenetly ill when I install them. I've been relegated to Nvidia because of such stability problems.

I frequent many boards frequented by Englishmen who have this curious problem with "chavs". When everyone else is saying it, it's easy to let it out yourself. I'd recommend staying away from Sociology official forums however. The classism flying around there is rampant.

There are chavs in California?

It's not a big secret / revelation that Castro's on his way out. It's not like it matters anyway. His brother's set to take over for him. His brother (Raul, I think it was?) isn't much younger than he is, but he could last awhile longer.

Harsh words for Aliens.

But in K2 they questioned wether ot not he did so to serve a greater purpose and not just his own.. so while Revan was not the altruistic and lawful Jedi he "should be", the game theorized on wether or not the end justifies the means.. because would it not be a greater evil to follow your principles only to weaken yourself and others when an even greater threat is coming. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But the counterpoint provided was that even though Revan empowered himself and succeeded in repelling the Mandalorians, in doing so he became the greater threat, and did more damage to the Republic and the jedi than perhaps the Mandalorians could. He protected the Republic but because of the corrupting influence of war or the Star Forge or both, he no longer valued the Republic and turned against it. Same thing happens with Anakin, although it's a less compelling implementation. He loves Amidala, and seeks sith power to protect her, but when he starts after that power he loses his perspective and eventually forgets her. Standard "power corrupts" stuff.

Congratulations on your acquisition of a uninteresting game.

Using a few mods, I see. I generally found the drow grrl to be a bit too pretentious in its writing. But it certainly didn't have Soulefain (I can't even remember the correct spelling) beat. I still have nightmares about that kind of thing. Last one I tried was Fade. That was pretty good.

They don't have DVR's outside the States?

There's apparently a scaled-back dx9 port coming to the 360.

btw, if any of you don't have a Tivo or equivalent contraption by this point, you shouldn't even be watching television. There's way too much on.

The chaos = evil thing in KOTOR seemed pretty consistent to me. Mainly just because SW never had much in the way of complexity when it came to its moral universe. Altruistic, lawful, pacifistic and good embody the jedi. Egoistic, chaotic and evil embody the sith. Jedi are trained to control impulse and emotion and always act with the consequences in mind. Revan and his followers were on their way down the dark side path as soon as they disobeyed the council. Anakin was on his way to the dark side as soon as he fell in love and thus, began to place his own wants and needs and that of Padme above others. That's the way SW works, expecting more is expecting too much. Even when KOTOR's designers attempted to cast some doubt on whether the council's decision to abstain from conflict was wise, they couldn't really get around the fact that none of the jedi devoted to pacifism ended up as sith.

Question for Josh: Are you planning on perhaps making the entire TBH trilogy? How does that decision factor into the gameplay itself? (as in characters that don't reach full development into the second game in the trilogy, etc.)

Are these in any particular order? Mine are: 1. The Shield 2. The Venture Brothers 3. The Colbert Report 4. The Daily Show 5. Late Night with Conan 6. The News Hour with Jim Lehrer 7. The Mcloughlin Group 8. Countdown w/ Keith Olbermann

I think the best idea would be to not really cap levels, but balance the XP rewards such that a character can get to level 9 if he tries hard to do so, but if everything is as it should be then they'll ideally hit level 8. Actually, that's something that I've been meaning to ask Josh about. I don't know if item creation is something he's willing to put into the module. It's a whole other aspect of the game that has to be balanced and tested. Geek that I am, I'm reading up on the 3 Dales in the FR core book and I'm seeing a lot of potential for intrigue and plot there, including the Thayan / Harper / Sembia factional stuff. Hopefully that wouldn't pan out to just Evil / Good / Neutral in terms of quest paths, but going that far I'm assuming a lot about what TBH is going to be, and how much it's going to rely on what's in the books (probably not a lot). I'm stoked. Now I just have to wait a few years I wonder if Josh will include the FR surface drow in his module. They are threatening Battledale from Cormanthyr " Seems a bit too big of a challenge to low-level characters, though. I'm just hoping that this "Black Hound" is not, in fact, the Pariah Dog :D

It's a Tom Petty song. Sounds familiar. But, on topic (heh) I've found that I generally like music that died out in the 90's. Post-Industrial and IDM. I also like actual industrial music that isn't being made anymore, TG, Coil, Nurse With Wound, that kind of thing. But since none of that music is really being made, at least the way it used to be, I'm listening to a lot of post-post-punk and electropop.

Threw in a bunch of stuff from the zoo.

He's not working off of NWN1. NWN2 didn't have such a ridiculous loot system, and in the core campaign you weren't running into good +1 weapons until 5th or 6th level. I think it's reasonable to assume that Josh knows how to do this right.

So has anybody who's played the game out there shagged the bunny woman yet? Christ, it's like they let 4chan design a character. It's creepy.

And now she's Uwe Boll's Bloodrayne. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There's another film to be released... Bloodrayne: Deliverance. Its set in the old west and Billy The Kid is recruiting vamoires to take over the world. Oh and it has anew chick as Bloodrayne. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Apparently Boll kicked Loken off the project when she broke up with him. I can see it now... Interviewer: So how is your professional relationship on set? Uwe Boll: Oh, it's phenomenal. Our intense passion for each other really fuels our passion for the project. Kristanna Loken: I have no idea what he's talking about. Uwe Boll: You're fired. And so it was. Oh well, now Loken can get back to the things that really matter - making out with Pink.

And now she's Uwe Boll's Bloodrayne. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Watched Alien / Aliens back to back the other night. I still like the original better.
