  1. Art's pretty. I'm more concerned about Neeson. Patrick Stewart was used terribly in Oblivion, and Black Isle spent its money getting B-movie actors (Warf guy, Macguyver, Ron "****ing" Perlman) rather than big names. I've got a sneaking suspicion Neeson is going to have 12 paragraphs worth of lines and the rest of the voices will be filled by staff nobodies, presumably the same guys behind the blase voices in Oblivion. The "father" angle is a bit troubling, but out of context I can't say anything. I've yet to see anything particularly damning regarding this project. I'm through being outraged over computer games.
  2. So you've got red emohair, eh? That sucks.
  3. I don't get the reference - are you saying you like multi-color hair, or don't like it, or ... ? No, your quote was in response to her quote.
  4. NEW KITTY :D Just got him today. Box-trained, friendly, still needs a few days to get used to the new environment. looking up at me a bit jumpy attacking the camera exploring at play After conferring with my history class, I've elected to either name him "Cecil B. Rhodes" or "Shaka Zulu". I'm leaning towards the latter.
  5. Wanted to be a normal person. Now I'm a full-time student studying nothing in particular.
  6. Looks like they're going for a Dead Rising / Hitman deal.
  7. Manspider 3 The only part of the movie I genuinely enjoyed was the emo Parker part, just because it was the only part of the movie that was really Raimi-esque (other than the Bruce Campbell cameo) Other than that it was passable, and wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and I hate Spider Man. It did suffer from too much bloat. The whole movie was incredibly contrived and revisionist. The "Oh yeah, we forgot to tell you, the guy you thought killed your uncle didn't do it, it was this other guy. Sorry", the incredibly-stupidly convenient butler, the coincidence of the church sequence, the non-existent security at the particle accelerator. The stupid-as-**** conclusion to the Sandman plot thread, all of it. If they had cut Venom completely out of the movie or left him in as a foil for the last 10 minutes of the film as most people were expecting (which I realize wasn't terribly feasible given the up-in-the-air status of any sequels) the movie would have had more time to explore the other storylines and perhaps fix up the bursting seams a bit, and the movie would have been a lot better. LAME SPOILER FOLLOWS When MJ kissed Harry, some high schooler in our audience yelled "****!!!" at the top of his lungs. A guilty laugh was had. FIN SPOIL'ER
  8. Pics plz. The vogue haircut these days so far as I can tell is the "bleeding wrist": In fact, the emo national holiday is coming up:
  9. Tax Return w00t.
  10. Welcome to 2006. New season's on torrent sites from 1-9 (there are either 10 or 11 episodes) and it's a doozy. The Shield is the best when it comes to taking things that happened in one episode in season X and keeping them under the rug for awhile only to bring them back and make them story critical in Season Y. It took them 5 years to even touch the cop murder that started the show. Most shows (ahem Sopranos) are content to let plot threads die as soon as new ones pop up. Every season of the Shield might be covered this time around. They took the wise route and used the Season 5 plot twist as a screw-tightener to make things more intense, rather than using it as a one-off powder keg. Vic doesn't react to the truth the way that most fans would expect him to. I'm wondering how they're going to finish off the series in a satisfactory way.
  11. Starcraft is still shoulders above every other RTS I've ever played in terms of the quality of online play. Speaking of which, weak sauce?
  12. Bah, **** it all. I'm trying to reinstall NWN2, but there are certain files that aren't being transferred. It says the .cab is corrupted. This happened when I reinstalled BG2 recently (been having computer trouble) but it hasn't affected the gameplay at all so far. The problem is that the updater program says the files I have on my system are "incorrect" and won't allow me to update my game past 1.077 **** this.
  13. I fooled around with the vault door for a little while, opened the door and couldn't walk through it, closed the door and then walked through it. From there, you meet some vault-dwellers who need a generator fixed. So I had to find a toolkit, but I couldn't, so I flamed everybody I could find. Then I found out the door to the generator room was locked, so I flamed it. The game did not see this coming, and promptly crashed. I loved what I saw, though. Ranged pistol whip ftw.
  14. They say blondes are prized because in most places they're rare, which makes sense, really. I had a blonde friend who isn't even that attractive (still love her to bits, though) and she vacationed in Greece, and by the time she got back she was pretty sick of getting her ass pinched. But they do things differently over there.

    Whoa new green dev.
  16. Cafe of Broken Dreams rules. They may not be able to make a Fallout game with Van Buren's remains, but they could make their own post Apocalyptic game with it. It never ends.
  17. Aren't you some big modder? You should know this crap you can tell it's the svirfneblin mines because of the wooden staircase down that doesn't lead anywhere. I refuse to believe that I am the only person who can tell these things on sight. Slacker. I'm the only person I know in my immediate area who has ever finished BG2. It's a mad mad mad mad mad mad mad world.
  18. That's what I thought when I first fired it up. The character body models, and the way they stand, or something. The first time I saw the NWN2 gameplay vids I noticed that hand to hand combat is exactly the same as it was in KOTOR2. Playing Kingdom of Loathing, as a feared Disco Bandit.
  19. I was actually blown away by the intuitiveness of the camera. It's miles ahead of NWN or others of its ilk. And this is pre-Alpha. My game crashed when I decided to flame the door to the generator room, since I couldn't find a toolkit. Broken dreams, I swear.
  20. It's the svirfneblin mines that you clear out after you escape the Asylum and find yourself in the Underdark. You kill the demon there in exchange for the lightgem needed to visit the Silver Dragon.
  21. Psssh, you voted for brunette, you didn't say you preferred it. It could very well be the case that you voted just to skew the poll and ruin the fun for all involved. So state your preference, already.
  22. Sorcerers are fun. Why in God's name would you have regular healing potions that late in the game?
  23. Alright mister, first you get all hissy 'bout redheads and stereotypes and such, and now you come out demeaning us with your accusations of desperation. Tell us your preference, participate in the enlightened discussion, or leave. Those are your options. Don't make me report you.
