  1. so, i'm working the second soulbound task with modwyr, deal 1,500 point of damage to kith and... well, last night just before i saved and went to bed i had racked up 1,100 points of kith damage, and when i loaded the save today it seems to have reset to 0. so, is it actually deal 1,500 points of kith damage in one session? or am i the only person having this issue? or is this how it's supposed to work? ---edit ok, this might be related to loading an autosave, instead of a hard one. as i recall having a crash and starting it back up from said save. makes me wish i kept more save files. *sigh* ---edit again looks like this might be a savegame issue and not an issue with the sword... as upon closer inspection a savefile or two seems to be missing, as i'm running into "new" areas i already cleared last night. i really hope this isn't a case of... me being so tired by the end of the night (or the beginning of the morning) that i only think i saved the game, but actually didn't. and now that i think about it, that seems more likely. so, just ignore me i'm an idiot, apparently.
  2. so, the vailian trading company just asked me to blowup the powder storehouse in the bronze citadel, and i figured i'd give a last ditch diplomatic solution a try, before... you know, killing a bunch of people. figured i'd bring maia along too, a show of good faith, or there abouts. though, when i enter the citadel area she goes about questioning my actions, and i have no option along the lines of... i'm not a sociopath, figure i'd try diplomacy once more, before resorting to blowing stuff up... (as my current character has gone out of her way to avoid bloodshed, unless it's unavoidable). adding something as maybe a diplomatic or benevolent response to the conversation in question? ---edit i guess i should also note that i'm not even looking for the possibility of a diplomatic solution, even if no matter what i do it fails, and always will. i'd just like my character to have the option of trying, however much the attempt may be doomed.
  3. honestly, that does sound like a bad idea... as rogue and wizard don't really mix that well, inho. unless you went with a lot of on-touch, and debuff spell types, then combined them with rogue-ish abilities. though then you'd have to put him into harm's way.
  4. i didn't really pick my multi class for synergy... being a roleplayer first and foremost, i picked my second class because it suited my character, not her stats. though, in my case it worked out.
  5. i had decided i'd recreate my first poe character, she was a ranger... though, then i thought about it a bit more as i was going through the prologue section... i figured surviving her awakening with her sanity intact would have given her the skills she had during that lifetime. so, i had that particular inquisitor pegged as most likely a cipher (as that's what she felt like to me). so what i actually found myself doing was... i actually rolled her as a Ranger-Stalker/Cipher-Beguiler or seer as that cross-class is known as. i'm quite happy her i must say.
  6. ok, so i think i got my people healing again. i think the issue might be related to the game not recognizing that the crew members are injured... as their stats listed them as injured, though they didn't have the blood drop icon on their avatar. so, i paused the game, assigned injured crew members to various slots for a second or two, then moved em back to resting quarters (at which point the little blood drop icon showed back up on their portraits), and then i unpaused and continued as normal. and the crew started healing again. though, the ship menu correctly kept count of my wounded crew members the entire time.
  7. i'm in the same boat (ok, horrible pun... i know) i have plenty of meds (70/100 atm), a full crew, including a surgeon, and three injured crew members, not healing, at all... going to dock at a port didn't heal anyone either (and yes i did dock at neketaka as well).
  8. i can't figure how the heist went down after i broke it up... *sigh*
  9. i renamed my ship from defiant to... "The Specter of Caed Nua" so, in my case i think i need the article. i'm still hoping to find myself a nice corvette (aka patrol frigate) around the archipelago, think they have those?
  10. in neketaka i've found a superb war bow in an abandoned tomb at the sacred stair, it's just below berath's temple. there's a tree with a branch you can interact with. though there's a good deal of level 10 enemies in that tomb too, wasn't an easy hike.
  11. for pistols, have you tried the gunsmith at the brass citadel at neketaka? my recollection was that whats-his-face had a few good ones, and perhaps a unique (though i can't recall for sure)
  12. i'm in the same position here. fine & exquisite gear all round, with the exception of good hunting bows... nowhere to be seen. wish i still had stormcaller from my PoE1 playthrough.
  13. as the title says, i can't seem to find a decent fletcher in neketaka, and i haven't found a good hunting bow yet; i just have the basic one i got in the beginning of the game. i have all kinds of fine and exquisite gear, but i just can't find a good bow... there's a blacksmith, and a gunsmith, several weapon dealers, where are all the bow salesmen? can anyone point me in the right direction?
  14. i usually sit outside it's range and attack it with crush & elemental damage. might want to stick with that blue streaky heal allies -- hurt enemies priest spell (as i think that one doesn't damage you, though i might be wrong), as it reflects magic back at you as well. and the curses those obelisks hit you with seems to be bugged, the instances of those curses stack, and only resting seems to get rid of em.
  15. i've found the only means of removing the debuff from the obelisks is resting, and the curse of darkness seems to do the same thing. i'll see if i can dig up a save file
  16. so it seems each of my companions has 10 instances of this curse, and each one hits for -2 resolve for each character, and it seems it never ends... is this supposed to happen?
  17. though, i posted this in tech support... so, what's it doing here?
  18. so this quest states that for the last 5 years aloth has been trying to reform the leaden key... though, according to his dialogue lines and my imported save data... he's been trying to eliminate it this whole time. so is this just the quest's writing being fairly generic (as aloth killing leaden key members is a kind of reforming, sort of... i guess), or is there something going buggy here?
  19. i'm in arizona... and it's 9:56 right now. ---edit 9:57
  20. thanx... just about 10 hours to go then. the wait just might kill me.
  21. do we know the exact time of launch today? as i haven't heard anything specific.
  22. i've got nothing but the archipelago on my plate... so unless i windup dead, or unconscious... i'll be playing it.
  23. i'm looking forward to... um, just about everything.
  24. there are no words for how wrong that video is. *shudders*
