  1. That's the stuff of nightmares.
  2. Already has. Any way as of yet that you can access the rewards (say, icons, the PoE 1 side of the bundle, etc.)?
  3. Originally your companions (both in and out of party) were going to act as crew. I'm also not too big on that stretch goal, but essentially what they're proposing here is more an expanded crew than an actual crew. Also I reckon that with the first campaign they underestimated the work they'd be able to put into some of the stretchgoals they promised, and that maybe caused them to lowball them this time around. And considering the difference in circumstances between the first and second campaigns with regards to the state of Obsidian and so on, perhaps they also weren't so dependent on their crowdfunding success this time around and didn't want to leave the cooler things up to whether they'd get to that stretch goal or not. But these are pretty wide and largely baseless conjectures so ignore me.
  4. Worried that its turning into Pirate Simulator 2018? Don't worry, despite all the naval stuff, I think we're still going to spend most of the game with our feet on dry land. It makes you wonder whether they haven't already finished a lot of the content on land, with the exception of the islands Fulvano discovered. And, whether they're not going to spend the rest of their time implementing the stretch goals' content and polishing the game. Based on the material they've so far released I'd reckon they haven't. Still a way to go however.
  5. Shoah is superb. Have not seen the other three (although I do like Svankmajer a lot). Also very interesting is Lanzmann's newest documentary The Last of the Unjust, centered largely around interviews with the last president of the Theresienstadt Jewish Council. And if the subject and style is interesting to you, I would also recommend looking for Marcel Ophüls' The Memory of Justice (though to my awareness tracking down a good copy of this can be pretty hard), which made in the context of the Vietnam War and based largely on interviews with those involved (either as judges, prosecutors, defendants or accused) in the Nuremberg trials, works on the dangers that could lead to history repeating itself, and how the US as well as any other group in power is capable of committing similar war atrocities. Very interesting stuff!
  6. I don't know why that remark was directed at Sagani, but I lol'ed. Sagani is my go-to for the minimum of companion allure. Less interesting then that, and I'm never going to use them. Personally she was my favorite Pillars companion, so I guess I can go a bit below the standard set by her.
  7. I like the idea but I believe it'd be best to find a name more fitting to the setting. As far as I'm aware they were already taking care of not using terms like "golem" or "zombie" and I think the likes of "katana" or "shuriken" should raise even louder alarms. The concept could be borrowed and then retitled using Rauataian or Deadfire languages as a basis (or anything else that might apply).
  8. Pallegina has a stern attitude towards those in violation of her morals, but to my experience at least she's never been aggressive or stern with the Watcher per se. Also, yeah, don't see how Pallegina or Xoti aren't feminine, or how the "lack of feminity" might make a woman less attractive.
  9. Pale elf, obsessed with death. A little on-the-nose, no? Wearing seemingly black/muted clothes too. Though again, being fair I think the animancy side to her could be pretty interesting. We'll have to see.
  10. Well, coming to think of it... (I'd say he's more the archetypical upright elven wizard though)
  11. I guess we'll have to see how they're implemented, but... Serafen's the one that's intriguing me the most right now. Maia Rua also due to her Kana relationship. Ydwin third for stuff to do with animancy.
  12. Nuuu... ;-; If there's a collection I certainly couldn't list, it's my CDs. Nowadays I mostly listen to stuff off of my CD collection than online, and I really dread thinking of getting rid of them some day.
  13. Movies of the kids you keep in the RV? >_> And yeah, some collections can certainly be too big to list down. I wish there was greater availability for films over here, but you often have to pay a boatload for pretty dire stuff.
  14. Kinda inspired by a convo I was having on another thread with Amentep. Do you guys collect films in any physical format? If so, feel free to share them here! Be it as a list, as pics or else. Feel free to comment on other people's lists too. Living in Argentina, it's pretty hard for me to get my hands on releases that are interesting, of good quality and accessible price-wise. Usually I'm limited to asking people who travel abroad if they can receive a few Amazon orders of mine. Either way, here's what I own... But yeah, this is it for the most part for me.
  15. Can't hurt to have more - to this day I still hear people bemoaning the lack of this film or other. Can't get their hands on everything though. It's certainly my go-to home video distributor, I've spent more money buying out stuff in their catalogue than I have DVD/Blus of any other company. Those B&N sales are a godsend...
  16. Personally I would get rid of the glasses, or replace it for something more interesting, like a monocle. All the same I like the central concept for the character - let's see how it progresses!
  17. As a bit of a Japanophile, especially when it comes to arts (cinema and literature especially), I'd tell you to investigate some more on their catalogue as some of the directors working with them at the time were really interesting, and vital for the whole Japanese New Wave and such. Shohei Imamura in particular is my favorite Japanese filmmaker and he saw his rise to fame in that studio (even if he'd make his best work later too). Pigs and Battleships, The Insect Woman and Intentions of Murder, all available as a box-set from Criterion, are well worth getting, he's got one of the keenest and most interesting eyes I've come across in cinema. There's also Koreyoshi Kurahara, and Ko Nakahira. All the same it occurs to me that all these directors were very much at odds with the studio at the time, to my awareness the films of Imamura and Suzuki at least were very badly seen by the studio heads, and were bound to break apart sooner or later. With Suzuki I reckon it would have happened either way it played out, it just did in the worst possible manner.
  18. I'd be interested in knowing if our choices in for White March have any impact on the cannons. Would be pretty cool!
  19. Investments. To my knowledge Obsidian has said that this figure does not include investements Yes it does. *edit* Although the nomenclature used is fig funds. Is this in writing anywhere? I can't see a source on the site that says as such? You can see it in the breakdown right beside the "progress bar". There's a graph-like icon, it'll show you how it's split up between pledges and investments.
  20. They were hanging out at the upper floor of Brighthollow. You could talk to them there too. I believe Josh answered this question at the Q&A today too, he said all companions would be acting as the ship's crew. Or something to that effect. So yeah! They'll be visible.
  21. The first time they announced the setting and the rumor about the "stronghold" being a ship started, I was hoping for Storm of Zephir at sea. Looks like they delivered. I'm happy that they're planning on steering away from that, and keep encounters more unique. To be honest I absolutely hated Zehir, and it was a breath of fresh air when I heard Null say it was not what they were aiming for.
