To me it really depends on how they're re-implementing crafting. I believe their plan with regards to crafting is to have it be more unique and related to the properties present in each individual weapon, which is cool because I think it allows gear to remain unique and not be standardized by being all able to be enchanted in the same way. But in turn I could see how, say, a flaming sword that initially only gives a small bonus fire damage might eventually reach a ceiling by not offering a greater amount and variety of crafting branches than the more "complex" weapons we may see later in the game. In all honesty I'm pretty intrigued by their re-evaluation of crafting and if an item ceiling acts as something of a sacrifice to make for it, I'm cool with that.

They have indeeed moved to their own site (which I posted in the OP). Also extended the time by quite a bit: the campaign will be running for 460 days more.

Not sure if there's a subject about this already, but Francis Ford Coppola's company American Zoetrope are apparently developing an RPG based on Apocalypse Now, with Josh acting as creative consultant in it. Here's the link! https://apocalypsenow.com/ Thoughts on the project?

Posting what I asked on the other thread before the announcement... So... Recently I've been thinking a bit about how souls work in Pillars, and I was hoping I could hear Josh's thoughts on the following: it is my understanding (though I may be wrong) that as time goes by, souls split up to accomodate a growing lifeform population in Eora, each soul fragment growing increasingly weaker and slowly giving out to a process of entropy. If we look backwards in time, then, to what extent is the opposite true? To what extent do all souls reach to one "original soul", and (assuming it is within his powers to do so) if a Watcher were to look back on the history of souls, would he reach a common memory shared across all soul fragments (think somewhat in the style of Akira or Altered States for example, though not necessarily as nightmarish)? If so, will we see more of it in Deadfire? Or am I wildly missing the mark here? Thanks in advance, loved the first game and am greatly looking forward to the second installment.

I remember him saying something about Kana's singing voice, but it was more a joke (or at least, a non-completely serious sentence) than an indication of him being bisexual. Yeah, pretty much. I'm not suggesting he's bisexual myself, really. -

Wait, how is Hiravias bisexual? He frequently makes sexual jokes with most of the women he met. Have I lost something? Maybe assumed from the reference to Kana's voice. I've missed any other indications however. -

All I have to say here is that I'm saddened that my rather innocuous remark started this extremely backwards discussion about gender labels and whatnot. I'm with the aforementioned response that people can feel free to label themselves as anything they wish, and label and interpret the characters as they wish too; but these labels have no business existing in the diegesis of Eora, and it is *much* better to let that fall to the hands of the reviewers, players and interpreters instead. But please, fellas, just put an end to it. And before you accuse me of being a "cishet" or whatever that is, don't. You don't know me, don't assume that you do. -
I assume the same you've written at the start of the thread applies here (let me know if it doesn't), so here go some of my Comic Book Guy questions. So... Legally in her republics. But just bz youre not fertile doesnt mean your not female or male. A lot of people on earth are infertile. But always still man or woman. I'm not sure she'd find it productive or relevant to think about herself in those terms, though. If SHE thinks or not. SHE is. I don't think one's professed gender identity is irrelevant specifically in the context of a romance, even if you personally think that the dangling fleshy bits are all there is to the issue and everything else is fiction or delusion. I could agree here, but I will also point out that I don't necessarily believe genderless directly implies being asexual. Pallegina may not think of herself as a woman, but it doesn't stop her necessarily from feeling love for someone, be it man or woman. Of course that is up to the creators so I won't insist either way (my initial remark that spurred this conversation, in all honesty, was meant to be tongue-in-cheek). Not something I'd mind seeing though. -

I think she's technically female, just not regarded as such by her culture due to being infertile. But I may be wrong. Either way, it's fine with me. :v -

I'll be fine so long as I can have some fun times with Pallegina. -
