That's not accurate at *all*.Hijras have a long and ancient tradition as neither masculine nor feminine; sometimes both, but just as often neither, and in the modern world are explicitly legally recognized as a third gender. In Native American tribes, not all tribes had strict gender roles--Navajo had four genders, feminine woman (asdzaan), masculine man (hastiin), feminine man (nádleehí) masculine woman (dilbaa). All considered quite distinct from each other. The Cree in Canada had a term, "ayahkwêw", which was specifically a third gender. Hence the word 'tend'.

It's worth noting that the historical accounts of non-binary genders tend to be either transgender people, people who did activities outside of that society's gender role or gay people. Generally not the same as an actual third gender.

The implication seems to be that at least a few of them were still children when she she left. She mentions trying to avoid swearing around them and the ending slide if you don't complete her quest talks about the lives they built without her in a way that implies they hadn't started building them before she'd left.

About Update 38
Baltic replied to Sedrefilos's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Dunnage appears to be something along the lines of a slightly bigger Dyrford or Gilded Vale. At least one of the locations on that map is likely a dungeon of sorts. As Neketaka is smaller than Twin Elms and Defiance Bay combined they've got more towns and villages. -
I thought Iselmyr was interested in women though? Aloth would have to be gay for that to happen Where is it stated that Iselmyr is gay? Don't recall her gender preference ever coming up.She flirts with female party members in some banter I believe. I don't think she flirts with any male ones but she never says she's not interested. People can flirt non-romantically but to affirm that someone is showing improvement or on the right path. Guys and girls do it all the time. Do they? The flirt she gives in banter doesn't seem that way but it may not be a confirmation of her orientation.

Evidently I have mangled my point quite a bit so I shall try and clear it up. I was trying to say that can you can build somewhat decent melee rangers. No the class is it focused on that, but is that such a problem when there are classes that are not focused on being ranged such as the monk or the barbarian. I would also like to clarify that I have no problem with the ranger having a melee focused subclass or even the class as a whole being focused on being a melee-ranged hybrid character. I just don't see why it's a necessity that the class is designed to be this way.

A ranger should be versatile, should be effective with many weapons including melee and ranged but game makers tend to make them mostly about ranged weapons. Ranger does not mean Archer as Quillon said.. the animal companion does more than enough to make the class unique and not just a "woodsy fighter". Also PoE was made with the philosophy of playing classes how you want to play them except for Rangers which were DESIGNED to be ranged only. Its only by the creativity of the community (and mercy of devs for not patching it out) that we have melee ranger builds. A Ranger is the fantasy Macgyver, and should be capable of more than just firing ranged weapons. Almost his entire PoE1 ability\talent list are all either ranged buffs or pet buffs... (Melee aside) No traps, snares, or natural remedy style abilities which are all things that could have been capitalized on and would fit the class. Heck even the pet actually having some learn-able active abilities of its own would have helped make the ranger less of a passive ranged snooze fest to play... The community melee builds are by far more interesting to play than how the class was actually intended to be played. EDIT: I shouldn't have to resort to playing a subclass (or have devs waste a subclass slot) just to get access to melee, AT ALL, for the Ranger class. No other base class got pigeon holed to melee only or ranged only. Why does the ranger have to be a fantasy Macgyver in Pillars of Eternity? You can easily play it melee in the first game. None of the abilities explicitly call it out but neither the barbarian or monk classes are focused on being ranged. Why can't the ranger be the opposite? Ye it though he had mentioned the stalker before and i couldnt remember where. It has been mentioned before but we only knew its name.

I wouldn't have a problem with it but why should it be this way? Cos its called ranger not archer? Tho in games its usually allowed to be melee ranger but not supported as well as ranged ranger, which sucks. Now someone will come and say "actually you can be a pretty good melee ranger in PoE or in X game" but I can be much better at melee with some other class and/or have easier time with it. I think devs should either go with ranged ranger or real hybrid, not a ranged ranger with half-as* melee viability("which you can make great if you know what you are doing!" - I know I know). ed: So a melee oriented ranger subclass with all the abilities revised for melee would be most welcome. But why can't it be a more ranged focused subclass, why does it have to be a hybrid?

And the first thing they say is "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE? GET OUT!" as some in Baldur's Gate do. Seems legit Well there has to be some compromise, the game has to be played. I think consistency is key in these situations. It was really weird in Baldur's Gate how some npcs would react normally to you barging into their homes and some npcs would calmly chat to you and give you a sidequest.

PoE II at E3 2017.

The Beyond is where the Gods live and 'unhoused' souls reside Was that explictly said by the devs? Also, if it's the realm where the Gods live, then I'd expect there to be different areas which reflect the particular dietys portfolio of things that they represent or are aspects of. What we see in the video looks almost positively non-eucilidean, but chaos isn't really one of Waels attributes. Could be a sort of lobby or hub between the different gods domains. And I guess 'unhoused' souls are just those who are in 'the wheel', but haven't moved onwards yet? Or souls that have reached nirvana? There have been some dev posts and references to it in game and in abilities I believe, it's definitely in the guidebook. It may be meant to be something believed to be true that actually isn't. 'Housed' souls are ones in a body or object, so technically not all the souls in the Beyond.
