Yeah, that's exactly what has happened. Please tell somebody at LucasArt about their fault.

Okay, 2 points: 1. The search function. Contrary to popular belief, it exists. I suggest you use it. Combined with a little bit of patience, you wouldn't have to waste our time. 2.Is this question really necessary? There are so many opportunities to be evil throughout the game, and a few LS points in conversations should not affect your alignment that much. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Let me summarise your comment: Welcome to this boards, triggert! Was it really necessary to "waste our time" with this "newbie" bashing?

Yes, I can remember it too. I think they said that there is something special about your lightsaber and that's the reason why you would want to obtain it. But perhaps they only talked about the lightsaber in general.

I merely hope this NPC chatting will at least be good for something... <_<

There've been some threads by now in which people who have already finished the game complain about the in their eyes unsatisfying ending of KotOR2. I wonder whether they all speak of the SAME ending? For example, there is even a readers review at IGN in which the author complained about the lack of group member specific sidequests (huh?) and in the end didn't know whether Mandalore actually is Canderous or not. Seems to me that there is more depth in this game some will never reach. So it could be possible that there are a few more possible outcomes of the story which can be reached, perhaps also including a "satisfying" end. Therefor my question (to the ones who have already finished the game more than once with varying decisions) is if they have yet noticed different endings or not.

How many devs still working on the pc version?

Maybe there are only artists at work polishing up the textures. And beta testers trying to track down bugs. -
The two diplomates = sith lords???

Krath? What language should this be? Doesn't sound very French, does it? If it were French wouldn't it be spelled "Krath -
A very large number of people can tell the difference between 24 and 30 as well as 30 and 60, especially in a game. One of my co-workers is able to say, definitively, if a game is running at 30 or 60 just by looking at it for a few seconds. http://www.100fps.com/how_many_frames_can_humans_see.htm <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What about TV? Can you or your co-worker actually SEE single frames there? In Europe they have not without cause decided to take 25fps in television. The visible effects you see in games are caused by extremely rapid camera movements which films don't have.
-
Well, the human eye sees at 30 frames per second, so anything less than that will not appear to be live motion video. The human brain can't tell different frames apart if there are more than about 24 per second. Animations with higher frame rates than 24 will already be seen as a fluent movement. The very first films had a frame rate of 18 fps, so it is not really that tragical.

I guess "a lone Jedi Padawan" refers to our yet nameless PC from KotOR2. But why is FORGE written in capital letters? Vodo-Siosk Baas? Hasn't he been killed by Exar Kun several years ago? Is it only me or do some points of the story don't make sense altogether?

Load Times are shorter but there are more of them

What Are Your Fears For KOTOR 2?

For those who still worry about the IGN review, there's already some background information on the framerate issue and the loading time. -
Yes, think of all the bits and bytes optimisation...

Thank you Akari for this detailed answer! As a side-effect this should also calm down the people who have been concerned by the IGN review and lost their faith in Obsidian.

Anybody know all the Colors ?

of course, I know it's fake. It's my little contribution to the color discussions..." -

I know Sout is very modest. But I am a realist. "

Maybe Scout. And after having discovered my great force potential it will be "Jedi Council Member".

Sions pulpy face would be hard to recognize on such a small icon...

I had a question to the Obsidian programmers (Akari or any other one who knows about it) about the frame rate issue. I would like to know what is the exact technical reason that concerning the graphics the Bioware engine is a little bit slower than "normal". It's remarkable that both the XBox and the PC have been affected likewise. Since it couldn't be completely fixed for the sequel I think it must be a systematical problem?

a VERY interesting picture....

I highly doubt the reliability of this magazine if they show such a pic in a REVIEW. -
What I've noticed is that lighsaber attacks seemed to be very weak. Without force powers he'd have had no chance against those enemy masses.

That's the response I got from some german friends. Being an international student in Australia I know a few from germany who are used to dubbing, but after coming to Australia they have gotten used to the original voices. Initially they thought the voices sounded wrong and funny, even though it was the original voices Now they find it strange to watch dubbed movies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, that is the effect of usage. You always associate a person with a particular voice and get problems when they sound completely different and unfamiliar.

Almost right, but no. Germany. There is much truth in your words. BTW I can also hardly believe that an English film sounds well after having dubbed it to French , but definitely they will tell me something diffent. Good argument. But aren't there even in Denmark countless people (especially of the older generations) who don't understand anything, as films normally don't start at the first lesson but at the very last?
