Secret chicken/prairie dog level
Hassat Hunter replied to hopfrog16's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Don't forget the disco level of the original X-pack. Nothing for Broken World . I would like, but probably they need to block said items from appearing in MP, the x-pack bonus spell was so overpowered that we had to make agreements with each other never to use it to keep it fun, and would rig PvP (not that I played PvP)... -
Not destroy. They left some alive for a new cycle (at least that was the impression I got in ME1). And yeah, they couldn't normally travel so had to use the hypergate. Which is destroyed. And still they can arrive. Oh well, ME2 seriously messed up what was set in ME1 from the start.
-
They are far too planning and scheming for a major assault. They first would weaken us up (see ME1) then just mop up and do the rest (see ME1). Full-scale assault seems rather... not in their repertoire. And then especially not on earth.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if the ME3 plot completely contridicts the plot of the earlier games often. You know, how ME2 did. Doesn't really look like it was really planned as a trilogy. I mean, Reapers from ME1 would never attack earth like seen in ME3. They are far too tricky for that.

Dragon Age II Has the Best Writing since PS:T
Hassat Hunter replied to The Transcendent One's topic in Computer and Console
Heh, Volly has never really played AP yet he's free to spew his lies. But oh dare us who barely played DA2 to crush it down, we gain Volley's eternal wrath. -
So you don't want A and B, you want A, B, C and D. And neither of them are a failure, as all continue on the game with the choice you made. Gee, just like AP. What a surprise... Where was the failure again? (actually you can fail if you take too long to disarm the bombs, but that's just game over ).
-
Lol... What?

The gaming mag I read (PC Gameplay - Belgium) made note of the DA2 Press Embargo (and a few other games), and how they found it a bad thing, and advised people to wait it out for Dragon Age II instead. Not really good press I would say, but if that's how EA wants to be mentioned. I also asked a friend if he tried the DA2 demo. He, like me, really likes DA:O. This is the response; And only afterwards I told him my impression.
-
Wait... it got worse, didn't it? Or did I just imagine a graphical decline. Sure I used lowest graphics, but so did I with DA:O.
-
Oh, I've played beyond that (after the whopping 7 minute loading screen). Though it didn't seem to improve much. And then it crashed after the cutscene of the girl saving my brother and then vanishing which apparently let the game as baffled as me what the hell was going on. Seems so. DA:O's wasn't great, but it definitely feels like a step back. And then with more focus on it. I rather had origins than this. Information previously easily accessible with one click now requires 5. And then is split so you have to do more to see all info, while it was all in 1 screen in DA:O. That's hardly improvement is it? Same.

how bad are the bugs / gameplay problems
Hassat Hunter replied to dargeth26's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
Which is where most of the complains come from. People expect a shooter like that. Although if you don't step in with such moronic expectations, there is nothing wrong with the shooting system. Just aim a while (you know, like Deus Ex) instead of trying to mow down everything rapdily in a row like in these games and you'll be fine. Definitely less bug ridden and more fun for me than ME2. And yeah, GOTY 2010 for me too. -
I hope such horrible logic isn't in the game or I will fear the worst...
-
Well, I really like DA:O. Tried the DA2 demo and... OMG... What have they done? WHY BIO WHY? * BINK movies with broken sound. * Horrible combat with abilities that recharge almost instantly. Back-stab can be cast once you pop up. How can enemies hit us if we're behind them 24/7? (and seeing how the 'actual' section evade has the same cooldown I assume same is true for backstab) * More BINK's with soundissues * Longest loading time... ever! (I thought it crashed!) * Horrible voice for Male Hawke . Why couldn't we have stayed mute? * What's the point of level 1 if you start 7/10th way in it? Hopefully that's just for the demo. * Horrible UI. Having to select character - one you desire - abilities - then an ability tree just to read one possible ability for purchase (nope, not all are readable easily like the DA:O UI allowed)? And that's just one example. * Why are resistances and attributes 2 screens instead of 1? *confused* * I want more zoom * Oooh, I don't even need to fight. But what the hell was that cutscene about. Especially if the blondish girl is nowhere to be seen after it. What the hell BioWare? * Typical, now it DOES crashes on me. Yup, uninstalled and convinced I should go for The Witcher II instead. Or The Dragon Saga (off to trying that demo now)... @ Volourn; If DA was so successful, why did they rape it like this?

Avoiding combat XP bonus disables XP from the baddies you avoided? Seriously, it's not that hard thinking up solutions how to fix such 'exploits'. Integrating them may be something else though...

ANOTHER Nar Shaddah Bug
Hassat Hunter replied to AsILayDying's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Alternatively, just update to 1.7, the latest TSLRCM release. It doesn't have this 1.6 issue. -
Fade was nice. And I didn't have the bagage of the slog since the auto-balancing decided it was time to pit level 13's to my level 21 group. So I pretty much murdered everything by looking at them (and that was Nightmare... *sigh*) ...

"Hello Liara" "Hey, Sheppard" "So how are you" "Good. Say I have a problem. Want to help?" "Sure. What's it?" "I love you. Have sex with me!" "Wait. What? We spoke 5 times in a generic manner. What the hell made this happen." "I love you Sheppard." "I got that. But I am not really interested. I prefer Tali, as she doesn't act like a whore. I had another girl who did, but I nuked her. Hey, Carth!" "Still, I think we should make love!" "Can I say no?" "No." "Okay then..." Somewhat my feelings during ME1. I don't mind sex scenes, as long as they are not cringeworthy, proceeded by cringeworthy dialogue. So far, no such luck with BioWare...

Another example (the same, since apparently it got overlooked). No cache in DA. So they sell it in a DLC. On demand of players you say? How can they if it's a day 0 DLC. Suspicious... not at ALL.
-
Pay $7 for a cache? (Dragon Age: Origins)
-
I don't mind item DLC's, as long as they are sold and not cheap (See: Baldur's Gate), not just given at an early intervention or at throw-away prices (Blood Dragon Armor in Dragon Age). Although pre-order/shop exclusives are a pain in the ass, forcing you out of chuncks of actual gamecontent (especially aggrevating if the ingame content is lacking, as mentioned ME2) just to suitor some shop.
-
Well, I certainly wait till it not longer uses said DRM sceme. I hope for the edition with all DLC that later gets out and I have to get since Bio *really* doesn't want my first day sale.
-
Didn't they drop that for ME1 after Spore's outcry. What an odd decision to do it again then...
-
What do you wish to save? People? Or Industry? ME: Industry. *sees people get wiped out. MISSION COMPLETE: MISSION DEBRIEF: You saved the people. Who knows what effect this has? Then checking my completed missions it stated I destroyed the people and saved the industry. What exactly is not buggy there? I kinda wonder what ME3 uses, the correct or incorrect, if referenced at at all of course.
-
Those are the ones. Enough items in DA they could use (did the bad luck charm EVER had any use in the entire game?). And yeah, I wasn't talking about paying for it either... Still, it does in someway do that too. Although not for another genre (Dead Space) but you got to get the other games in the series, unless you cheat.

Engineer Drone causing flying platforms to get stuck (forced reload), triggering cutscenes too early. Getting stuck "flying" in geometry. The timed side-mission with the destruction of a planet taking the opposite ending of which you took. Another side-mission that couldn't be finished if you used Peragon skill. The Hammerhead getting it's damaged sound on all planets if ending a mission as such (like from lava). Oh god, that was annoying. That's all I recall for the moment, that appear system independant to me... I got a single core and not too many issues with that actually (well, after spending 2 hours and 10 re-starts fixing a BSOD after char generation). Ran smoother than ME1 (though graphics had to be really low)
