  1. I'm half-way Chapter II (Normal difficulty, lvl 20 now) and I have yet to use Quen, Traps, Bombs or Throwing Knives. They just don't seem worth it (well, besides Quen maybe, but I prevent myself from using it to make the game more fun). Maybe I should go to hard to see your guys battles be "slash, roll, roll, slash" because everyone pretty much dies on groups (especially Harpies. Weakest enemies EVER). Having the attack multiple enemies skill on 100% is great for this, no more worrying about groups, just murder them all at once. Don't even need to use potions anymore either, like the prologue or act I. Got 2 skillpoints left as I exited last night to sleep, probably will unlock adrenaline with them. Which probably explains why it feels easy.
  2. The promotional (using the char. editor etc.) can indeed. They also aren't included . But there are quite a few who don't have a dl-link.
  3. Think I'm using 1.2, but where's the delete savegame option? Also can't seem to exit the loading screen of the main menu, have to load a game (ingame works fine). And is it just me that texture popup seems to become more likely? Or is it just the cave-area I am in? And found another sack that wasn't lootable. Should have fixed that too. Or is that only for new games? ...so confused. EDIT: Hmmm, should read patch notes better. Delete apparently for the savegames. Nevermind on that. *off to test*
  4. It has happened before...
  5. Cause the footage seen so far (not including the leak, maybe it better shows size and gameplay alternatives) only has such levels and gameplay as AP has? Not the one DX has?
  6. I don't know; FPS which have corridors and RPG's with wide-areas (like FN:V) are wide-spread. So I have no clue what he's talking about either. And yes, the DLC is utterly lame. More respect for CDProject with giving all DLC away with patch 1.2, something BioWare couldn't even do in the UCE of Dragon Age 1 due to "legal reasons". What the hell?
  7. Looks just like ME2 to me. Which isn't a bad thing if they actually include a story this time. And "I called it" for the onrails shooter-segment(s). Though I sure wish I was wrong...
  8. Don't they force people online for playing SC2, banned people for CHEATING OFFLINE! and received hosts and hosts of critisism about Diablo III already? (graphics comes to mind first) Sounds like stupid **** to me. And I hear reports WoW becomes increasingly impopular, a trend Cataclysm couldn't counter even.
  9. True. It became pretty evident in DS2:BW GPG wanted more than mere Hack&Slash, so OE on the wheel seems like a natural evolution.
  10. GPG deliberately gave OE the opportunity to make DS3. OE just said "sure." It's not like they decided 'hey, let's make DS3. We should ask Square if they want that'...
  11. *cough* The Witcher II *cough* Dragon Age 2 *cough* Mass Effects III *cough* Skyrim *cough*
  12. Oops. Same on the other. But it still felt pretty atmospheric for me. Better than the start of chapter 1 doing pretty much the same, but without all hell around you.
  13. I remember 100s of soldiers fighting at once soon after starting chapter 2. Wasn't epic enough for Calyx?
  14. And none of that in The Witcher II. That's what a sequel should do. Improve, not degrate. Imagine if ME3 does the same... But CDProjekt can. So that's why some want DA3 from them... Players expect that in sequels? I doubt anyone would imagine Baldur's Gate 2 or IWD2 would be "peaceful" and 'relax-times'. That's just not how RPG's work. Like The Witcher 1? Like KOTOR2? Sure, novel...
  15. Ah. Tried them once in a cave, hated the graphical effect and sold them all, never to be used again. Caves aren't that dark anyways. Oh well, next game I already know where he is anyway, no more hunting.
  16. Finding at the end of chapter 1 must be the worst quest ever. Having to spam Z (which still makes it hard to see the trail) with it's limited distance and being distracted by traps, destroyed lairs, coccoons, flowers, loot, disarmed traps made that hunt a LOT longer than it should have been...
  17. Killing the Kraken gives a host of powerful items and a ****load of XP (2 levels for me). After that everything turned from "help, they kill me" to "hack & slash" to me.
  18. I got it from Cedric.
  19. Had to kill the three times because apparently even boss-monster remains get cleared when loading a save-game. There goes your one-shot for unique quest itemry or throphy! I hope they fix that in 1.2 Even better is that there is a potential insta-kill cutscene afterwards, and my diplomacy skills are lacking . The second time I just got killed during another side-quest, no auto-save inbetween. Learns me to think "meh, I can easily finish this before returning to the main quest"...
  20. Heh, just utterly farmed Troll Trouble. What... a Witcher has to eat too...
  21. Browsing the GOG forums gave an answer. I had to remove all DLC (in my case, polish voice-overs), then it just works flawlessly. That's so odd. Oh well... back to more TW2.
  22. Sadly enough, the patch doesn't install for me. Back again to e-mailing Tech Support As now I can't even play the game AT ALL (had to re-install, and it wont get the final piece to play downloaded. And 1.1 wont run).
  23. Yeah, my things are also covered in black "dust" that came from the packaging they lie in. Or is it something else for you? No patch? Not that I am really that surprised. They barely scratch me? 40-50 damage, no way. Also, use your amulet (Z) to spot them easily. Disarming is another matter though...
