  1. I think XP is shared. And a good thing too, since Merisiel evading doesn't seem to give XP. If it wasn't shared she'd be punished for making a smart decision against Goblin Raid.
  2. Sometimes there aren't buttons for the actions. You must drag the card to where you need it. So, at the Desecrate Vault after you closed it, drag the card from the open discard pile window over to the deck on the bottom right (I think it even glows a bit to call your attention to it). Likewise, when burying a card from your discard pile, drag it from the open discard window down to the patch of brown dirt just right of the discard pile.
  3. For Amiri, don't clicke the "progress" arrow to end your turn. Click the trash can. The order will be this: 1. You'll be asked if you want to use end of the turn powers. You can move it you want. 2. You can discard cards if you want/must. 3. You will draw up to your hand size. So, it doesn't have to conflict with the end of the turn powers. You just need to make sure you enter the "end your turn" phase via the trash can instead of the arrow.
  4. You just need to turn your Ezren into an acquisition machine. These numbers are all based purely on the RotR cards, so Treasure Chests could change it. You'll notice that the last time you'll see a non-Magic armor is in B/C. The last time you'll see a non-Magic item is in 1 (there are 4 of them). The last time you'll see a non-Magic weapon is in 1 (there are 2 of them). From then on, every deck is just adding more possibilities for Ezren to get free explorations. Give him all the Codices you can. And the Monkeys you can. If you get that Smith ally from a treasure chest, give it to Ezren. Give him 3 Swipes if you can. 3 Swipes + 1 Monkey = 4 ways to automatically acquire a lot of stuff with the Magic trait. The Smith and the Codices will fill in the rest. And Haste if you need it. Honestly, you can build an awesome Ezren with almost 0 attack spells. Make him all about acquiring things and examining location decks. He's basically the second best character ever.
  5. How does the first power work exactly? I get that he automatically acquires the weapon or item and must explore again, but I don't quite grasp the second half. Does it mean you have to remember which weapons and items he automatically acquired and if they leave his hand later in the turn, he banishes them and then banishes any he has left at the end of the turn? The General Store is the only location in RotR (and really, even all the released PACG sets so far) that he would totally destroy. And that probably isn't a big deal. If you were still worried about it though, check out Ranzak. He has a power that if he acquires a boon he must roll a d6 and on certain results explore again. He'd also crush item and weapon heavy locations in general too, like the Garrison.
  6. I've not gotten a chance to play Heat Metal in the app yet, but it should be 2 dice for a check to defeat a barrier with the Lock or Trap trait. So, if it is only giving you +2 it is a bug and not a typo.
  7. Did you know (and maybe you did) that you can drag from one character (above the line) to another character? I do that in large parties. For example: Valeros, Harsk, Ezren, Kyra, Merisiel, Sajan. All the Arcane spells anyone acquires I drag from the to Ezren. Then I go to Ezren and decide which ones to keep. All the Divine spells go to Kyra, then I go to Kyra and decide which ones to keep. Maybe you knew that already, but just in case you didn't I thought I'd share.
  8. I never regret picking up a Potion of Glibness. And if I have to take a Basic item, it is often one I'll consider. It will basically turn into an ally. I like Crowbar a lot too. It and Mattock are both underrated.
  9. I generally won't keep a "banish to play" boon around if there are other options. But I don't mind having them during a scenario. It isn't much different than a Longsword. I'll eventually have all weapons that are better than a Longsword and will never keep it. And adding to your list of excellent items, I often give Ezren 2 Codecies and the Tome of Knowledge. Once he gets Brodert Quink as an ally, the Tome is even more useful. He can churn out explorations. With the Treasure Chests, I've enjoyed him having the Blacksmith very much. I can't wait to get him a Monkey though.
  10. I think the default is that they apply, since the majority of the time, having them on won't hurt things. In the RotR cards, there are a few things that are immune to Fire, but not until after deck 3. Until then, Fire can only help you.
  11. I think CovertDad means "when Sajan is making a combat check, how do I know if Unarmed Stirke has the additional power for Fire and/or Magic turned on?" I'll double check when I can look at mine in a minute, but I think they light up when they are activated in a check.
  12. You are correct, it should add to Ezren's Arcane check, even if that Arcane check is a combat check. So if it doesn't, it is a bug.
  13. If you aren't above your hand size, the "progress" arrow won't let you discard cards when resetting your hand. It will just draw cards if needed. Instead, you can choose the trashcan button at the top of the screen to move right to the "Rest Your Hand" part of ending your turn. So, in summary: The "end your turn arrow" will do the following: 1. Apply end of the turn effects. 2. Prompt you discard cards only if over you hand size. 3. Draw cards. 4. Pass the turn. The "trash can" icon will do the following: 1. Apply end of the turn effects. 2. Prompt you to optionally discard cards. 3. Draw cards. 4. Pass the turn. If you aren't over your hand size but want to discard cards at the end of your turn (or recharge a magic armor), you must choose the trashcan icon at the top of the screen instead of the arrow to initiate the "end of the turn" part of the turn.
  14. They might have them automatically increased because that way you can spot it easily when you examine a deck, like with Spyglass or Augury.
  15. The treasure chests definitely give you cards that are not part of the physical RotR. Some of them are from other PACG products, most notably the class decks. But think there is at least one card in there that hasn't been part of any PACG product before....
  16. There are a couple of henchmen too, but it is mostly villains.
  17. 4 is a minimum for me, but 6 is most common. In the physical game, I can handle four at the most, but since the app tells me when another character can help me, it takes some of the heavy lifting off my brain.
  18. Right, as Hannibal said, the rules (of both the physical game and the app) don't allow for that. Unless you have a card or power that allows you to pass the encounter off to someone else, the character that encounters it has to be the one to deal with it. And if they fail, boons are banished and banes are shuffled back in.
  19. See this explanation: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86351-goblin-warchanter-being-overzealous/?p=1804400
  20. That would be true. Though, the report in the first post specified it was the first exploration.
  21. I don't know about "soon" but they've said they are working on a PC Implementation. They just wanted to get the tablets out first.
  22. Actually, the Goblin Warchanter should require anyone that wants to play a spell with the attack trait or a weapon to make the check. http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1gu#v5748eaic9t7b So, while the app isn't perfectly emulating the card game here, it is more than just the one encountering it.
  23. It is a B item, so yes, you can possibly find it. But the locations are build randomly (i.e. if a location gets 3 items, it gets 3 random items), so there is no guarantee you'll run into it.
  24. I'm pretty sure you have to win the Tutorial. You'll get Kyra and Merisiel and I think access to the first 3 scenarios. After that you need to either buy more content, or accumulate enough gold to use it to buy more content.
  25. I don't know if you are familiar with the physical game, but in the app, the Holy Candle is banished when you play (as opposed to buried in the physical version). So, I'm not sure it is worth it. In the physical version, I'd totally agree. I've sacrificed winning a scenario to get Holy Candle. Twice I've taken it from Pit of Malfenshankor and suffered the consequences. Both times, none of the 5 other people I played with objected. They all supported my decision. I kind of wish it wasn't so hard to acquire since it is now banished to use.
