So it'd be kinda like a Morrowind faction?
-
I guess the engine doesn't work that way...

IGN Takes a First Look at the Dxun Moon

Can't we have somewhere with nice fluffy bunnies? -
It does look faked, I must admit. They wouldn't be that stupid.

I HATE spiders. I hate all forms of insect life, really. I'll kill something if I'm quick enough, or just run away and hide if I'm not. Yeah, I'm a sissy, but meh... they're so creepy :/

It's a very good game IMO... But it does get very tedious trudging everywhere. That said, there are a few mods you can use to give you transport, as well as lots of other amazingly cool stuff... It gets a bit repetitive, but there's a wealth of stuff to do and you can do *anything* you like. Kotor is very very linear... Morrowind just gives you an island and says "Do what you like". That said, the story is quite engaging if you follow it. Note "if".

Unless somehow the planet does not rotate, keeping it fixed towards the sun. Or perhaps it's very far away from it's sun, meaning little to no light gets there anyway. Don't assume everywhere is Earth like, most places aren't.

Yeah, It'd certainly help us feel more for the droid. I used him once in the entire game.

I never hated Malak. I just saw him as an obstacle to be taken down. Take Irenecus... There's someone you can hate! He captures you, does wierd experiments on you, kidnaps your friend... he even *spoiler for those who haven't finished BG2* steals your soul to feed himself! I just couldn't hate Malak... Irenecus was a bastard.

Complete freedom will never be possible. For a start, it does not exist in the real world. You may live in the "free world", but you just try and do ANYTHING other than sit down very stilll. You'll get laws thrown at you wherever you go... It's like a game, without the quicksaves.

I'm scared, mummy.

Dark Jedi/Sith Apprentice lightsaber
Quasar replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There IS a cave full of saber crystals not that far away. Presumably she just swapped hers. And she just swapped back again when she reached the Enclave. -
I do like this idea. It'd add a lot of depth, although maybe your PC could be in more than one group. Like, you and one team are doing something in a high place, there's an explosion and you fall off, waking up with the other group.

Vader is the ultimate Sith. Nobody will best him... That said, Malak did a decent job.

Feedback is very important to games, I think. Take mods, I run one myself for HL2. I think it's very important to listen to what the players want, or your work will be for nothing... On the subject of fan content, I'd really like to see KOTOR 2 moddable... I heard Lucasarts doesn't want "unofficial material" or something like that, but Jedi Academy is freely modded, so why not this? I seriously doubt anybody takes modifications as official stuff anyway. Georgie L needs to calm down... And make good films too.

Obsidian: PLEASE PLEASE fix these...

A few thoughts of my own - the jedi/droid support script was said on the Bioware forums to be the only script giving characters any actual intelligence... And I believe THAT is the only script where they use lower classed attacks. I'm not sure why. And with regard to fleeing, perhaps a "follow closely" command, where all the party will follow you wherever you go and not do anything until you stop the command. Just my input. -
I think unique abilities for all characters would really help.. Perhaps T3 can us computers much easer or something?

A more general Star Wars question....

We may get the answer in Episode 3? -
A Rakata as one of your party members.
Quasar replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I thought the Rakatan were really cool... I'd like to see them in Kotor 2! -
NO More Mythological Force Thingys!

I thought this was a gaming forum, not a biology discussion board (I vote parasites) -
I'm sure they can do it, and it'd be cool - After all, Luke made his own lightsaber! Why can't we?

Separate "draw weapon" and "flourish weapon"
Quasar replied to will_990's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I believe I read that you can holster your weapons in KoToR 2... But I'm not very up to date... I gotta read up! -
Make the Sith more opposing in their look!!!!
Quasar replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'd like to see more variation in the sith... More robe types, as well as Jedi robe types. And the sith clothes needed to be more imposing. I was not scared one bit. Finally, why do I pick up robes from dead Dark Jedi that look NOTHING like what they're actually wearing? And why aren't they reduced to underwear? Sure, they could just be carrying a spare robe, but that sounds stupid. -
About the Final duel and the "Sith Lords"
Quasar replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'd really like KoToR 2 to flow better... Flowing from fights to conversations/surrenders... I remember fighting Freyyr on Kashyyk and I was just about to give him a damn good whack when suddenly, for no apparent reason, I turned off my saber. Could they not have had an animation where I strike at him, he parries and screams "WAIT" or something? It'd have added so much. The same with Malak... We just stopped fighting to talk for no reason. Talking whilst fighting would have been good. Coming from that, perhaps there could finally be a reason for the "most used weapon" thing in every RPG I've ever seen... The game detects whether you use blasters or a melee weapon, and the animation for you using blasters has you ducking his swipes, firing, being deflected, scoring a hit on the arm and him being weakened... The animation could be so much better. [/rant]
