  1. No...you don't like any minigames. Not very plausible with a CRPG however. Even the most story based CRPGs still have combat (or at least force you to try to avoid combat).
  2. In Las Vegas the house always hits under 17 and stays above 17. I think that depends on the house though doesn't it?
  3. Just another thing to add to the ranged combat...I think improving the damage of it and whatnot would also make becoming a defensive Jedi more useful. I thought it was cool to see Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan beating up on the trade droids without making an offensive gesture. When I watched the new walkthough video, it looked like this was more useful as guys were actually falling to deflected blasts, so maybe ranged combat has become better? I think one thing that might also be better is if enemies used ranged feats. Let that Sith Assassin come at my with a Power Blast or a Rapid Shot. I know I saw them use melee feats, but I cannot remember any other ones. Anyways, just a thought. Keep up the good work.
  4. Looks cool. Keep up the good work Obsidian! P.S. Is the video old, or has the release date not been moved actually?
  5. I think I tried putting random stuff in, to no avail. Putting "a" flower would set it on fire?? :D
  6. How can you champion being "free" in your games and then bash a game that gives you a chance to take a break from the plot for a second? Most sidequests don't advance the plot in any way.....why would you want such a linear game. After all, you'd only be doing what the developer wants...not what you want. (On a side note Pazaak was a poor game).
  7. Which explains why The Sims is pretty much the best selling computer game? Having real life elements makes it easier to relate to the game, since we actually know what that element is like.
  8. Ultima 7 was immersive due to many great factors, such as music, dialouge, NPC schedules, and interactivity of items. For instance, you could go into a farmer's house, kill him if you so desired, rip open a bag of flour, take a bucket to a well, get water, put water on the flour, knead the dough, and bake bread. If you left the dough on the oven too long, the bread would burn. You could mix honey, and make a sweet pie, or use meat for a meat pie if you so desired. Fans have clammored for flowing capes, hoods, customizable hilts, etc. These things don't greatly change gameplay, but they add a level of immersion. I never burned the bread in Ultima 7. But I did find out that you didn't need to knead the dough in order to bake it. I just put the flower in the oven and voila
  9. I liked Jaheira for the role of strong woman that wasn't a bitch. She voiced her opinion strongly, but always had your back.
  10. A little bit of me would like to see Alderaan....since it does get destroyed eventually
  11. every contestant should be stripped off everything except his favourite weapon - whatever that may be. a little bit like the box fight in Fallout2 Couldn't you sneak in the brass knuckles? Sucked when that guy bit your ear off though.....lost a point of charisma
  12. Just to add something to the person that posted earlier..... An adrenal stimulant won't help you regain "lost dexterity" bonuses. When armor says max +1 Dex bonus, you could have a Dexterity of a billion and you'd still only get the +1 from your dexterity.
  13. *goes off into a long rant about how consoles rule* At least Xbox players don't have to download & install numerous patches to make a game work, but that's another topic altogether... Yeah you just don't get the patches. Enjoy your bugs I mean features... Haven't had any problems with my Xbox version of Kotor yet, so I guess I'm enjoying the features without the bugs. Isn't two-handed fighting with the saber staff broken on the X-Box version?
  14. LMAO. I like the Goth/Apocalyptic Prophet puppet God uses from time to time in Sinfest. "DOOM, DOOM,DOOM!!!" :D Sounds more like Deekin's favourite song
  15. You need to talk to her (nicely preferably) enough to trigger an event. I actually had the event happen on Korriban though. I'm not sure exactly what I had to do before or what happens after though....although I am playing the game again so maybe I'll find out
  16. ROFL "cast magic missile" "At what? You're all alone!" "Uh....I'm attacking the darkness" "<sigh>ok....you see an elf." "WHOA!!!!" hehehe
  17. They'll keep trying to kill them...only to watch more come. Since the Sith are completely distracted by this (and unable to perform any other sort of task with them since they are so eeevil), they will eventually starve to death.
  18. I can answer for Mission.....just use here a bit more (or talk to her more on the Ebon Hawk...that can help too). Eventually you'll need to land on Tatooine with her in order to continue the quest...and yes you do meet her brother.
  19. I think the way you have it set up will work fine. If someone has a name like Trom'Dom (and that's it), it probably should be used in all instances.... Mind you like I said, I didn't really notice, so I'm probably not the best one to ask for an opinion
  20. That's how I played KOTOR my first time through. For the most part I was a nice guy...helped out people that were being thugs...slowly but surely a began to slip towards the darkside when I became a Jedi though. I lied to the Council because I was trying to be open minded....I felt that by understanding what the Dark Side was with some experience, I could better control it.....I was wrong
  21. Meh...no big deal as far as I was concerned. I never even noticed.
  22. On a side note....was there any way to get a good ending for Necropolis?????? Those poor guys didn't deserve anything bad...yet I suppose it would be impossible for them to exist in our world.
  23. I think it might just be your eyes....they look the same to me (maybe it's my eyes though).
  24. Sephiroth. From Final Fantasy 7. Surely you've at least HEARD of him. I have to agree. That was some damn good dramatic music. Its become kind of famous. I also liked the Jenova Boss fight music in that game.
