  1. Sorry if u wrote it somewhere I'm half asleep but what was ur deflection score at endgame with 10 wounds and buffs running? Also as for the large fang I'm pretty sure you can buy this off of the Alchemy shop? In any case, I believe drakes drop em
  2. Well in all honesty isn't it best to use the assassinate bonus with something like Thunderous report? It does more dmg then any of your powers and it will fully charge ur focus right away. Then, assuming ur playing Ascendant wich is by far the superior cipher you can go ahead and use borrowed instinct and then spam spells.
  3. Active buffs overwrite/suppress like buffs Example: If you use that fighter buff with mirror images on a battlemage, the game will take the higher of the two deflection bonuses and use that. Passives, on the other hand, can be freely combined with no bonus suppression. Everything on the right hand side of your skill tree when you level is a passive. Those abilities do not suppress each other or actives. Everything on the left is active. Those things do not stack with each other, but stack with the passives. Deep Faith is a passive and way more versatile than Vigorous Defensive because Deep Faith can be combined with any deflection bonus (including VD). Vigorous Defense, on the other hand, gets suppressed by any other active ability that provides the same bonus. Vigourus Defense + Mirror Images does not fully work. You only get one of the bonuses to deflection Deep Faith + Mirror Images does work. Both deflection bonuses stack! Is that really how it works? Cause i am pretty sure Llengraths Safeguard or Circle of Protection does stack with other actives such as Arcane Veil etc. Although Llengraths and Circle of Prot dont stack with each other. Perhaps because they both add to all defenses? Yeah I also noticed that circle of protection stack with other actives. Not sure why this one is an exception tho
  4. Now that is interesting! I'd have thought instruments of pain would have replaced the summoned weapon and used your "equipped" weapon. Good find!
  5. Rpgs need to keep some freedom of choice with a few carrots here and there. What u should be complaining about OP is the possibility to respec a characters skills. If you couldn't respec the skills those items wouldn't feel so "free" anymore. Or maybe, just maybe, obsidian shouldn't balance a singleplayer game around people who have played through it several times and are now "metagaming"? There's not a single new player who would pump mech, go to dunnage and sleep with the hooker and get the training, craft an adra potion, go to neketaka and buy the gloves and a thieves folly and then sail to crookspur...
  6. Corroded Strike does great amounts of dmg with a high Int score. I rank it a lot higher then Devastating Blow
  7. While I personally liked the mechanics of the first game better I still love this game. I am very glad that Obsidian is making CRPGS and I hope they will continue to do so for a long time!
  8. I've given that club a fair chance. Even tried it with a one handed style flurry monk to try and stack that curse quick enough but it just builds up way to slow to justify the low base dmg of the club. It is good with the modal to lower will but imo that's about it.
  9. Got a couple of updates, The superb warhammer requires only 3 sleight of hand to get the key for the chest in Sayuka longhouse In Crookspur u can go into Crookspur fort with a bluff 8 check or pay 2000copper and get the unique large shield "Shining Bulwark" As of beta patch 1.2 Obsidian have placed a lvl 15 lock on the chests/crates with the Platinated Plate armour and Gravecaller Sabre on Crookspur beach Also i managed to get the Frostseeker with 2 spark crackers and 12 stealth now. Sneak around the mobs on the south side, use spark crackers to lure the lurkers away because they will spot u quite fast. Grab the bow and head out from the opposite side of where u came from. I have it recorded:
  10. They have a lot less casts then a multiclass. A single class ranger does not have enough good choices to justify going singleclass.
  11. A berserker barb will generate the most crits. But a rogue has the best actives with frostseeker. But if u really just want to crit a lot go berserker and drink pots of perfect aim. Pick the Orlan for another small boost for hit to crit.
  12. Freezing pillar, chillfog and pull of eora is 3 massive reasons to not go evoker!
  13. Ascendants are super good even if u completely ignore charm spells. Hordes of enemies - spam Amp wave. Few enemies - spam mindblades. Soulblade is ok
  14. Id still pick Napalzca even if drugs didn't give any boost at all simply because of the constant and reliable way of generating wounds.
  15. Man you must really love typing hehe. And I'm not trying to be a douche because when I'm gonna post a build I'm like: "oh man now I gotta type a lot..." And I've only posted two builds while u drop these great walls of text pretty much daily ;P Anyway I'm on the can so I don't have time to read it all, but coral snuff don't stack with swift flurry for action speed nor does its deflection stack with wizard buffs.. Well, I'm not gonna swear on it but I'm pretty sure. Go Svef for resistances, it's the only worthwhile drug now with 1.2!
  16. It is a very strong skill yeah. And since we are doing wishes: I wish I could have heart of fury on a ranger so I could use heart of fury+frostseeker+driving flight together!!!
  17. But if u think about it ud think it was actually designed for solo considering the difficulty. Hence why solo matters and why basically half of all class builds posted are "Solo POTD upscaled".
  18. Ok :D I like this feeling when I found skill/gear/consumable combination that can do solo DD/Upscaled/PotD This I can agree with, but not if it puts certain classes way above others.
  19. High Mig isn't really super important but any dmg boost is welcome to shorten killtimes. Con gives so very little per point, it's not an issue
  20. Does it do anything other then further boosting enemy stats? If it reworks encounters and the AI then I'll gladly play it, otherwise I rather not. The enemies stats on upscaled POTD is fine, it's the AI design that is not.In this mod Daggers, Sabres .. etc usually can't penetrate boss armors, you need to use food for penetration, and you will lose your affliction imunityExperience reduced and you can't get L16 so fast Enemies has +20 deflection, and you can't crit them on each attack, +30% to health With this mod PotD feel really good Yeah so pretty much adds imbalance between classes by highly promoting ranger/devoted for ACC and pen and chanter/cipher for unlimited resources? Why is sabres mentioned? Sabre modal gives u pen unlike many other weapons. > Yeah so pretty much adds imbalance between classes by highly promoting ranger/devoted for ACC and pen and chanter/cipher for unlimited resources? 120 ACC is OK Nope, there exist good Wizrad/Priest, Monk/Devoted I posted Wizard/Rogue build concept, that can solo this difficulty > Why is sabres mentioned? Modal didn't stack with potion, but mace modal that reduce enemy armor stack Can u even reach 120acc on a wiz/priest post 1.2? Keep in mind that ANY build made before 1.2 patch can use alchemy for around 30acc and 8ish Xtra pen. This is no longer possible.
