  1. Thks for replays. I found that sun & moon upgraded have a minor healing on hit ( you heal a proportion of lash's fire dmg ). Eager blade is another solid option ( high might+ practiced healer + healer belt + bonesetter amulet+ footprints of ahu taka gives you about 60 hp after a crit (50% chance))
  2. Yo, nice to see you all are good. Really want to try new paladin+ chanter. Maybe my "vampire knight" build will finally becoe functional, after many failing attempts... Paladin leech+ chanter phrase that gives sicken in aoe+ old siec leeching phrase ( you will need troubadour for that) could do the trick. Anybody knows if there is a leeching weapon in game apart from concelhaut staff?
  3. Monk + fighter with a 2 hander, max per, max hit to crit is still better imho. you can chain crit all day long + free attacks when you kill someone.
  4. Yes testing builds vs some bounties can give you better idea about what you like most. Apart from that i fell in love with amra after using it vs bosses with a devoted/hellwalker. With modal active you deal SO MUCH dmg ( thks to +10 might, +10 int). Note that you can even be a devoted and choose pollaxe as a weapon and use amra vs bosses nontheless, since you get -10 acc, but guarduan of ukaizo and lich dragon have about ~60 deflection even on potd, so the accuracy malus is not so important imho.
  5. I tried some solo char with pure MS + variation. So i will speack from solo-prospective and not party-prospective. You are basically a barbarian with no potions, no scrolls but some magic resistance and you can cause wizard to fail spells. For these reasons is better to use 2 weapons ( apply the spell failure effect faster) and at least medium int. As expected you can be quite strong vs casters ( wiz, priest, ciper, chanter, druid abilities count as "spell" afaik), but you are just the average guy vs bosses ( most of them have abilities that are NOT labeled as spell, even if they work like them: es ukaizo dragon can still use breath/ delayed fireball/ ecc nomally even with 4 active stacks on them). So the main reason i expected to use them ( hinder bosses) doesn't work. During the non boss fights you will still have a BIG problem: healing. No potions hurt a lot. As a pure barb you can count only on a timed robust inspiration that is simply not enough. If you multiclasd your own spells can be resisted by yourself. So i think is better to multiclass with a warrior ( unbending) or even better with a paladin ( better kind wifarer) As a paladin multi you can get heal every time you FoD (~30-40hp if you dual wield), have lay of hands, regen aura and great armor, everything you need for your survival.
  6. It is one of best armor for non caster , better il multi, for +4 resources. Resistance to int/con comes also in handy. You can also spare the Lumberjack and kill the Devil by other means ( skaen pool or simply kill her afaik. With everything bad story you get the armor)
  7. You can maybe go higher counting conqueror stance and undirectly with the joker cap (-10 to enemy defences)
  8. Basically this, sorry if i was unclear. I bet they sneaked some immunity to the boss at some point, but they are not listed nor in pach notes afaik. I was pointing this. And some immunity are weird ones, like as i said the immunity lo "last word" effect, so you are unable to silence them.
  9. In these days i am testing some fighter/_____ builds. In the beginning i used to cast both unbending and vigorous defence at the start of the fight. After some testing, it turned out that it was a "mistake", since unbending alone could more or less completely outheal all the received dmg ( unless constitution affliction hitting you ofc), so cast vigorous defence is kind of 0 return investment of 2 discipline points. This change little with heavy/light armour. This insight posed me a question: in wich situation refreshing defense could be better than unbending? If you are a low deflection, low AR type: usually unbending is way batter, since unlesd you have very poor might you will be constantly at high health, no matter about how hard you are hit If you are high deflection, high AR type: you can maybe reach the "untouchable" state with your +20 to all def, but it will be for a brief time, because if nobody hits you, the duration will not increase ( no refreshing). And again unbending could take a better care of the low incoming dmg. TL, DR: I'm puzzled after understanding that a very good abiliy on paper actually could be quite useless in real fights.
  10. Yes i mean: previously proned used to *work* on him or i remeber bad?
  11. Afaik no one was immune to prone effect. In my last playtrough i found that the final boss is actually immune to prone (rust poignard never proned in spite of crits). At the same time i found it to be kind of immune to "last word" ( unique hammer ability) since the debuff never showed on him. On the other side wizard slayer debuff applied normally, even if it is uslesd, since all the boss special attacks count as "ability" and not as "spell". Did someone else had the same experience?
  12. Does not look like it: --- Interestingly enough, it DOES gain the accuracy from Marksman's Ring. Honestly, the fact that the damage is affected by armor is a downer. Eager Blade's splash attack when enemies get low is also affected by marksman ring although driving flight doesn't do anything to it. Armor affected lashes and splash always makes me sad. At least the carnage from Amra can crit though. The Riven Gore secondary effect is IMHO the best part about the weapon. Quickly taking out small fry or wounded targets is a massive boon. Right now trying to think of the best class combo to take. Holy Slayer (Streetfighter/Bleakwalker) is usually my go to, but I think I am getting bored of that setup. Yah. I am really loving it on a pure fighter in a party. Ooh I did not think about pure fighter. Right now I am testing Devoted/Barb and Devoted/Streetfighter. BTW, how are you making it to 25 Might? Me Right now: Base 18, Living Lands (+1), Racial Bonus (+2), Ogre Might (+2), Pet (+1), Belt Whose Name I cannot Remember (+1) I am thinking that there has to be a better way. Inspired discipline?
  13. Not if you want to go for Instrument of Boundless Rage or Dazing Shout + Blood Thirst. Actually being able to do nearly endless Dazing Shouts in a row (when first using Frenzy) with Bloodlust and then -Thirst and regaining rage through Blood Surge is much better than HoF. Dazing Shout costs 1 rage and Blood Surge gives you +1 Rage on kill. You turn into a superspeed cc/nuker with endless resources. I think that driving roar ( if having good int and some power level bonus) + bloodthirst is one of the best combo of late game. Driving roar does much more dmg than the other ( althoung in a huge line instead than a circle around you) You basically become a HUGE CANNON , that throws major dmg and interrupts (! On hit) with 0 recovery (after first kill). Is also very fun to aim. You just have to find a corner/wall ( just for don't get totally surrounded) and start firing. And you can fire about 8-10 round per combat, that are more than enough for most bounties, just for saying...
  14. I feel you bro One of the things i enjoied most was the bg2 solo run, where you reach max lvl at about half game and have the other half + whole ToB to do at lvl 40. And while you are at your aphex, enemies continue to get stronger and stronger.
  15. I agree that unbending is main reason to get fighter. It makes you *really* hard to kill. If you have high const you can even go around whithout any armor. Tangentially I wold like ranger much more for multiclass if whirling strikes were a lvl 7 ability instead of lvl 8
  16. Never tested what happen when you stack everything, i will try in the next days if i have time. Clarity is one of my fav buffs, since it *cut* 5 secs of all negative effect, on top of the 50% reduction. It really cleans you fast. Anyway about affliction ecc, you actually have a whole of 4 ways to defend from it: - real defence --> stack defences : no hit no effect. Quite intutive. - functional defence --> stack -x% affliction duration effect ( resolve, lone Wolf ring, clarity, ecc). You may be hit, but the effect will expire do soon that is not a problem. - pre-empive defence --> use a easily spammable buff ( best if istant cast) to use as a shield vs an affliction. Warriors, monks snd barb (frenzy!) are very good for it. Ex: you can alwsys keep up thunderous blows and swift strikes, so every time you are hit by a might or dexterity affliction, they *remove your buff instead than actually hit you*. You can easily replanish your buff 1 sec later and you bacome immune-like to that affliction. Note that A.I. can manage very well this. - absolute immunity --> stack all immunity type item to cover everything ( skaen vest for perception and ???, Revku gloves for const, ecc) Bonus: the other side of the medal is that if you want some of your buffs to never be removed ( i.e. you want to keep up robust for whole duration) you can try to find a constitution affliction immunity item. Even simple resistance is often enough: all tier 1 affliction attacks will be negated and your buff will not be removed.
