If you picked the right spells at the right lvls this could be amazing, especially now that you can respec. IE on potd upscaled id probably take charm and maybe even hold beasts and respec out of it later on a druid. I wonder how lifegiver shifted heals work, like if you bear shift as a nature godlike you get +6 PL on healing spells, if you cast em all then bear form drops I wonder if the Heals on you currently stay supercharged.

I had the idea that ranger/no subclass wizard would be strong though didn't flesh it out, just knew itd have insane accuracy and concussive tranq to interrupt casters and remove all 30sec or less buffs for a quick snipe. Plus haste spells, evasive roll and the teleport/swap spell would be neat. But every time I make a ranger I hate the mid game. Wounding shot is just so crappy and I dont like to rely on the poorly scaling pets.

I didn't play beta so I know it was even worse back then but didn't experience it. Every time I want to play a caster (that isnt Wizard) I stop cause of this. Are there items or multiclassing feats that significantly help? Really wanted an anamist, Sorcerer (Druid/Wiz) or theurge (druid/Chanter) or even Liberator (Pali/druid) to work but the synergy doesnt seem to be there.

1 Liberator (Anamist Druid/Bleak Walker Pali) Take Fire and Corrosive spells, Max Alchemy (for now) as it boosts a few of these spells. Very flexible in build but some nice synergy with fire and corrosion spells and FoD. Personally id go 2hand specialize and pick whispers of .... and Frostseeker. Occasionally debuffing and corroding with druid spells. (I will check and see if WotEP's aoe cone makes both Taste of the hunt and FoD aoe). 2 Gemoancer Ranger (ghost heart)/Wizard (no sub) as a mobile (haste spells, evasive power, translocate spell, bounding boots) nuker who can also drop enemies buffs and interrupt casters(tranq shot or whatever its called) from a far. Pick a 12m ranged weapon, mostly self buffs from wizzie for good defense.Again lots of details to hash out but could be really fun, dont take a lot of nukes, just enough for when your bow is resisted, probably missles spells. Lots of buffs that instacast (gosh i hate these 3+ sec casts). Lots to hash out but with ghost pet id probably only take takedown combo for some funny assassinating.

After a shift if youre using second weapon set you end up weaponless/shield less. Its kinda horrible. As a druid (versatile by nature, haha, punny) you want to have a 1 weapon set for accuracy (no offhand), shield and weapon for when you're taking a beating, and you shouldn't expect that going anthro-style makes you toss your second weaponset aside and clear it when the shift is over. So weird.
