  1. Each type of weapon have an advantage. Its not a "big priority" problem. Its a question of some residual damage. With a high DR resistance "slash", some others weapons can do more damage than sabers (old version). We know the best type is pierce. (in general) Fire is the best elemental damage. (nerf it !^^) So, we talk about what a difference ? For rogue : ? Insignificant.
  2. I'm not sure. Others choice is now "automatic" anyway... Rimecutter x 2, i coming : p. Its my point. A nerf calls another. At this point, we must nerf also the famous-electrical-bow ... etc etc...^^
  3. Yes, there is more damage with 13-19, IF and only IF the bonus is highter. (Major part of time, anyway) Its base number of calcul. Because Sabers are no longer interesting... The problem is only... moved. Nobody will use saber now, its just that. There is a lot of weapons better. I oversee a migration to Rimecutter (Same damage + 20 % speed. Saber become useless). Its not a big change for balance. Rogues deals the massive DPS. For them, the problem is : the speed of attack. Its better to deal less damage with rogue and attack more often. (engorgement effect. very present with firearms. 10 HP remaining for ennemy.... .... BOOM ! 180 damage. Time to reload etc...) So, the damage of rogue, its pretty the same with a melee weapon with this little change. This change is more problematic for the others melee class, I think.
  4. +20 % damage hum... = +2 Damage ? The mod of base damage weapon is always better than fixed boost ? (the reason of change i presume) The problem is, in terms of DPS, mace and battle axe become more interresting now, no ? (Rimecutter, ravenwing ?) There is now no reason to take a double saber with critical.

  8. the gentle method dont work ! The ennemy is inside... The "stay together" of the "democracy" method is not enough visibly... EDIT : for the muslim. Its complicated. There are muslim actually carried by the positive faith (elevation of the soul and look appeased to the others). And... some delinquent converted to radical islam. (Social fault line)

I'm french and I think its the job for service secret / intelligence service (found an evidence and eliminate the target ...direclty) Its not very democratic, but its the only solution for this cruel ennemy. to hold hand in front of camera is not enough now mister president Hollande...
  10. I don't tell the game is break. Pillars of Eternity is a great game in general and work globally. For the minor bugs its ok. Its not the question. (The topics quote are just exemple, some should be solved)
  11. No... There is a difference between an isolated bug (two eventually) and the no expertise of Obsidian to be careful when you create a new patch. = Create new bug ! I remember Neverwinter Nights 2. On the game-system (D20 etc. mode, feats etc.) there is no bug. In pillars, from begining to the end, its a purge. And there is a thing unforgivable : introduce with a patch a major game-breaking bug. (3.01) A patch = repair.
  12. Hum... Indeed. This proves that the game was too buggy to be corrected with the means at hand . this is a lesson for future games... I am slightly disappointed for some bugs still existing.

  14. Personnally, I think there is too much bug in this game. Each patch add new bugs. THIS IS the real problem in fact. If not, there would be 0 majors bugs after 2.01, 3.01. The galawain's maw bug is a major bug for me. Introduce in 3.01, not present in 3.00. Its exactly the real problem. I think its a good thing to have a more long time for debug. Even delay the release of the patch.

  16. I confirm the bug. Its difficult to reproduce because the dragon must engage a move. (a breath). At this moment, if the char launch a "stop affliction" (prone, paralysis, stun etc), the power (breath for exemple) continue ?
  17. I think for the fast - medium speed, vulnerable attack is a good thing for increase damage. For low speed, its not necessary. Melee and ranged. So, like achilles says, a monk fast speed need this upgrade.
  18. When you control the game, only alpine dragon is difficult (if we talk of all dragons). Sky dragon is a joke in Potd. Adra is extremly simple also. BUT, at my first encounter : I was thinking its impossible to beat them. For the solo, its different. The game is not totally designed for that. Its not Neverwinter Nights here... There is a team play to respect. BUT all the classes are not equals for the solo, its certain...
  19. With the heart of the storm, I'm not sure now... Stormcaller reduce RD by 6. On an other hand, he gain +20 % damage electric... The wolf pet is slow for attack. I think the DPS is better with stormcaller in 3.02.
  20. Exactly. Don't forget, all of you : One talent is one talent... So, the - equal cost- of each is important. Apprentice should be higher. He need a special effect to work (an affliction... don't forget...) Scion of flame = 20 % fire damage. = No condition. Apprentice = 15 % of base damage. = affliction require. During this time, Aspirant mark reduce the deflexion by 8. A quick power. 80 % of original power.
  21. Go Path of the damned, man, if its too easy for you. For the Alpine Dragon ? Go use potions / Scrolls / Synergies of the classes. If you're so strong, you should manage. But do not say that the game is unbalanced.
  22. New char. Level 1. (new story in the same universe, prequel or sequel ?). Possibiliy to go to level 20. +1 class multi class. 2 prestiges class by base class via Constrained entrance like NWN.
  23. At the origins, a talent increase your potential... So increase carnage its normal. Here its not the case. Actually OSA is practically never activate. So you see +20 % damage but in reality it doesn't work. The developpers surely thought about it as something to boost activate on big battles. Or, if you prone one guy of the group, the barbarian doesn't activate the power. The red arrow also be inactive in certain circumstances, yet it is surrounded, and the threat is present.
  24. In very endgame, Ranger become better than a cipher. (Pet max upgrade + stormcaller + double attack, eventually x2 if an ennemy is behind) Rogue, I don't know, I think not.
