  1. Apparently RPG codex voted Patchfinder their game of the year. They also had the Wildcards dlc that broke the game the runner up for dlc of the year.
  2. PoE1, and Pathfinder: Kingmaker. What else? Being a fan of this particular genre (and essentially no other genre), I'd be happy to know. "Several" surely implies more than two. Sword Coast Legends? Edit: strange. I tried to find it on Steam to see what people are talking about it and it doesn't show up in the search. Am I spelling it wrongly? 'cause it flopped big time.
  3. Yeah. The think that's annoying about the Pats is that they've been so consistently successful for those 15 years. Hell, I only saw Brady make one pass more than 15 yards down field this entire postseason. Dude's arm is gone but the playcalling and his experience are still beating other teams.
  4. Pats in another superbowl. Disappointment.
  5. Thought it looked more like Jeriba from Enemy Mine.
  6. There's the Obsidian Edition. GOG: https://www.gog.com/game/pillars_of_eternity_ii_deadfire_obsidian_edition_release
  7. I have about 54 hours in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which is about 30 more than I intended to play. It's been years since I last played an AC game. Ubi's done a good job of removing a lot of the small things that used to cut the momentum down with AC while also making more like an RPG with more cut scenes. I'm having fun but I have hardly scratched the surface of all the content. Kinda wished they'd taken all the best parts of Odyssey and boiled it down to a 25 hour game.
  8. Personally I slide theatrically into my bright orange Nissan Cube- the 'Admiral Yamamoto', proudly emblazoned with the rising sun and rays- via the wound down front window as all manly men do. Down south we refer to that as "NASCAR style". Everyone knows the Riker maneuver is the one true way.
  9. I don't know if anyone else was waiting on this, but Underrail has an upcoming free expansion. https://www.gog.com/game/underrail_expedition
  10. This was me while reading the Watchmen for the first time. Everyone else is all, "It's great!" And I'm like, yeah except for the plot. But that's every Alan Moore comic. Dude just sucks at endings.
  11. And the one time the refs called pass interference was the one time they should've held onto the flag.
  12. After jumping out to a big lead, the Eagles are doing their damndest to give a way the game.
  13. Anyone seen the Colts? Yeah, no one in KC's seen 'em either.
  14. I think the right question is: can they come up with another way to make the Watcher start at level 0 again? They could just do it and not offer an explanation like most games do.
  15. Consoles.
  16. He's actually said as much both in a post on the Beamdog forum a while back and in an interview with a gaming website in which he says he considers everything done with NwN2 to have been a bad mistake and that OE took NwN2 in the wrong direction. It's okay for him to be wrong.
  17. I'd like, and I'm pretty sure it will be, a direct sequel considering the Watcher's story isn't finished. As for general stuff I'd like: 1) Complete removal of the AR/Pen system. I despise it and more importantly Pen has been a god stat since the beta. 2) Some returning companions. I'd love a combination of companions from POE 1 & 2 as well as new. Probably a pipe dream. 3) Dump half the sub classes. There's currently over 1,600 different class combinations and that's all well and good except that balancing is probably impossible at this point just because of the sheer number of man hours it would take. Getting rid of half would go a long way towards making each sub class both unique and useful. 4) Return of Endurance. Endurance/Health was one of the more inspired game design choices of POE1 and then they dumped in favor for the injury system in 2. 5) Retool rest. Rest systems have never really worked in video games as well as they do in pen and paper but there has to be a better outcome than Deadfire's rest system. 6) Abandon Empower/Power level. There are several reasons I don't like current multiclassing works and one those is because it gives every class a resource pool which particularly obnoxious if you're playing a class that already has a resource pool (monk, cipher, chanter). Also, Empower is always either going to be too powerful or not powerful enough which is compounded by rest spamming having no consequence. 7) A new location. This is the only one bound to happen. Lower level cap. The best experiences with the combat are mid to low level. 9) Less urgency in the main plot. 10) Personally, I'd prefer no more romances. 11) Gods to show some teeth when you backtalk them. So far I've really gone to town on the gods to their face and only a few times have I come out worse for wear. Reinforce their power by making them slap you around if you get too uppity. 12) More Vela content.
  18. Yeah, the Baltimore/LA Chargers game looked a whole lot closer in the final score than the game really was. Also, there was some bad offense in those AFC games.
  19. Pillars armors already has different types of AR for different damages, but if you're talking about splitting physical and magical armor like DOS2, please no.
  20. I also bought Pathfinder on GOG, and I noticed GOG promoted Pathfinder for like 3 months before finally removing it from their front store. One can argue how much GOG actually matters, though. I own both on GOG. But this is STEAM top sellers.
  21. Prior to last night the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game was 2014 and they'd only won 2 playoff games since 1996.
  22. Sorry for the micro-necro, but Steam top sellers list of 2018 is out. Deadfire made Bronze and no Pathfinder. https://store.steampowered.com/sale/winter2018bestof/
  23. An orland lifespan is about a fifth shorter than a humans so that would make her five/six in calendar years but six/seven in 'orland years'. (Human lifespans according to the POE1 guide are between 60-100 and orland 50-80.) But of course innocence is not predicated on age so this is just interesting trivia.
  24. Vela doesn't really have any content tied to her aside from the Hylea god challenge which basically turns the entire game into an escort quest with you having to protect her and automatically losing if she dies.
