  1. I think you would get +4 PL for those fire effects, yes. If they scale with PL in the first place. I didn't test that.
  2. Also nice. By the way: are there any special benefits when using Sun & Moon (besides having two chances to hit per swing)? Like SA getting applied twice or so?
  3. Don't know. However QA said they are currently into the "AoE doesn't apply affliction" thing. It's not intended and they are trying to fix it asap.
  4. You are welcome. Stats look ok. I would go for less RES and more INT - but I'm a glutton for INT so I guess it's ok like it is.
  5. Stacks, 20% rolls twice (if the first roll isn't successful). So your overall chance is 36%. The best weapon is determined by the situation you are in and the build you use. There is no definitive answer to that question. In general Blesca's Labor is not bad at all. Resolution + Purgatory is a very strong combination if you crit a lot (what a fighter can do because he starts with such high ACC). The sutuations where it's not good is when you meet enemies who are highly resistant or even immune to slash damage. For those cases you can use Bittercut (White March item) which is a sabre but has two damage types (corrode/slash) or use a club like you did. In general Full Attacks (like Knockdown) are better with heavy hitting one handers like sabres because you transfer the use of Knockdown into more damage.
  6. LMAO - sweet! I'm serioulsy thinking about putting this into my signature...
  7. It's most likely so that a buff that is supposed to only affect that one invocation needsto have a duration and can't be implemented differently (with reasonable effort). It is supposed to start when you start casting and not only to end once your invocation goes off (it needs a duration for that already) but also that PL bonus should to last as long as the effect of the invocation lasts (should it still get affected by Chanter's Power Level). I don't know if there is such an Invocation (think about stuff like Chillfog or Moonwell which will immediately get affected once PL changes during their duration - Lifegivers know what I'm taking about) - most likely not - but that seems to be the idea. Imagine you So - thas bonus needs a duration in general. Ok, it could get canceled once your Invocation effect is finished. And it gets overriden by a new one. But on the other hand it doesn't harm you, your Bellower or anything. So I think this one is waaay down below on the priority list if it needs a fix at all. Imagine they alter a healing effect from instant to healing over time. Then it would be great that the PL boost has a duration.
  8. If I wanted to reduce the squishyness I wouldn't pick Berserker in the first place. What about Furyshaper/Fury? Fits nicely, the Frenzy Ward stacks with everything (great casting and attack speed) and the Storm spells could profit from the Voulge (if you choose to bind it to the druid class, not the Barb class). Bloodlust and Bloodthirst also trigger when you kill enemies via Storms/spells by the way.
  9. Sun and Moon is good then having a Fighter/Skald with Clear Out. If you manage to hit 5 (paraylzed) enemies you'll generate 10 hit roll (several might crit). It usually gives me lots of phrases (I mean a lot for just 2 Discipline). With +10 ACC it would be even better of course. I tested it: Sun & Moon: No matter the enchantments, the fire-head does work with the Ring (all attack rolls get +10 ACC), the frost head does not! That's nice somehow. Keeper of the Flame (flail) does not work with auto-attacks. However when the additional burn effects proc and roll (Magran's Wrath) they will get the bonus. Sungrazer's fire procs (Extinction Event e.g.) do work, auto-attacks not. Extinctions Event also works with Ring of the Marksman by the way...
  10. Yeah, that's crap. I also don't know why. That's the reason why HoF is a lot weaker in Deadfire than it was in PoE. Using HoF with mortars (+Powder Burns) is much more effective just because Carnage from every attack roll doesn't seem to get applied to all enemies like you described. You don't have Carnage with mortars, but at least all the Poweder Burn stuff gets applied to all enemies mutiple times which adds up pretty nicely (on top of all the AoE explosions from the mortars themselves). Pretty nasty with Avenging Storm by the way...
  11. I just wanted to roll a Stag Druid - and boy his Stag Carnage sucks so hard... I have hickeys everywhere!
  12. Who does? Most likely 85% of the people on Twitter who voted didn't even play Deadfire... Remember the poll about the Black Isle Bastards' unique weapon...
  13. Do you want to keep your achievements for this playthrough? If not you can open the build-in console (have a look at the game menu: which key is bound to opening the console?) and type: iroll20s Enter Console will close - your achievements get disabled for that playthrough. Reopen console RemoveAbility Player_<name> <name_of_the_ability>Reopen console Addability Player_<name> <name_of_the_ability> Upper/lower case doesn't matter. If you don't know the names - no worry! For example if you want to remove or add Mule Kick, just type "Mu" and hit the tab key. The console will guess what you wanted. If you hit tab multiple times it will cycle through all abilities that start with the letters you typed. If you want to keep achievements you have to install the mod called "Unity Console". There you can do the same without touching your achievements.
  14. Brisk Recitation as also no influence on the chants that do a hit roll to apply a 10-sec effect (Dragon Trashed, Soft Winds, Weakening Chant, Concentration Removal Chant and so on). They only keep coming faster (easier to stack).
  15. Citzal's Martial Power will suppress Dance of Death I think. But you could use Eldritch Aim to raise your ACC by another 5 (if you haven't a PER inspiration already). As far as I know the only weapons are Dragon's Dowry, Kalakoth's Minor Blights (burn version) and Firebrand.
  16. Yes, Brute is also nice. Clear Out and Mule Kick target Fortitude as well - so it's even a good "self-contained" build in itself before getting to Brute Force. I personally like a lot of those spells that target Fortitude. That's why Body Blows is so valuable for me.
  17. Eh - Blood Thirst, not Storm, sorry. You are right. Dazed will get overriden by Staggered once you cast Spirit Frenzy. But since you are jumping into the crowd you want them first to be Dazed and get -4 PEN. Because there will be some recovery until you can cast Spirit Tornado which will Stagger them. Taht dazing It's not a big deal - but Leaping comes with it. You could also pick Blood Storm instead of Spirit Tornado - but since you are not heavily armored the Terrify is really helpful for not getting attacked so much while you prepare your HoF circle which will apply Body Blows. I hastily wrote down the stuff and made some mistakes. +45 Fort ist when you also have somebody weakening your enemies (I used a Chanter with the Weakening Chant at the same time and forgot that he was doing additional -10 on top the barb's -35). It's only -10 Will + Willbreaker. I guess I had my Wizard cast Confuse and the occasional Miasma. All in all Fort and Will defenses where constantly superlow just from Barb + Wizard. I edited the original post so that it's clearer and correct. Thanks for reading it thoroughly. Since Konstanten has such low INT this is not the best build though. You want max INT for this to hit more enemies and for Body Blows to last long.
  18. Skill or ability? Skills is stuff like Mechanics, Athletics and so on.
  19. You can also use Saru-Sichr as alternative with the Paralyze-upgrade enchantment. On paper it looks bad, but all the "poison dipped" DoTs stack in parallel. So with HoF and some attacks here and there you will see some paralyzes.
  20. Yes, especially for a ranged barb it's pretty great. *points at da Pulverizer* By the way: Instrument of Boundless Rage is also very good. It's just a tad too expensive. THe great thing about Blood Surge + Driving Roar is that is does insane damage and hits a lot of people even if you have low INT (hello Berserker). And the chances to not run out of rage via Blood Surge are a lot higher if you can kill stuff for 1 rage and not for 3. It's just a bit sad that a ranged barb is no fun at all unless you reach the highest levels. I tried it, it's meh. Luckily there is retraining so you can switch from your usual barb to Pulverizer just by investing some money. If you meet crush immune foes you are a bit screwed by the way. Better carry some decent ranged weapon with recovery (War Bow or Hunting Bow) or a pike or so.
