To be honest this kind of behaviour is very rare. However, I have extra annoyance called friend who asks EVERY SINGLE ****ING DAY if TSLRP is already released. I made him Kotor fan with first and he is drooling over for second. Well, I got him to his senses and he decided to wait until TSLRP would be out. That was last February. I honestly thought this thing would've been finished in, well, April so I could loan my game to him soon enough. And I have had to listen bitching since that! Y'know, I'm becoming quite desperate.

If they have reasons for doing bugfixes it should (by common sense) what their build plan says 0.7b1 - All "essential" content implemented. All Block, Crash and Major severity issues resolved. 0.8b1 - All Minor severity issues resolved. 0.9b1 - All Tweak severity issues resolved. Translators brought aboard. 1.0b1 - All Trivial severity issues resolved. Multiple languages all building successfully. 1.0c1 - All Text severity issues resolved. And as you can see, Minors are earilier in plan than tweaks for example

Lolz What worries me at the moment: Bio will not develope K3. That's sure. OE wants to do that (I hope you guys haven't already forgot mah feargie post) Now... the problem is, that OE is three titles company. This means: 1 PC Title, 1 multi-platform title and one console title under development (although I guess this "console title" just means it'll be developed for consoles but it'll have PC conversion of it. Moar profit) Now, PC Title = Neverwinter Nights 2 and if you don't count that then it's its upcoming expansion pack "NWN2: Mask of Betrayer" Project Connecticut= Aliens RPG for both consoles and PC (although it's treated as "console title" of those three projects IIRC) Project Georgia = Nothing about it is known except A) It's new IP B) It's published by SEGA like Aliens RPG I guess PG is that "Multi-platform" title. Also, It might use Unreal 3 engine since OE has licensed it for some project. However, it's not for Aliens so there isn't another option... Also, it looks like Project New Jersey (Original IP console title) was cancelled. Now, what I'm trying to say, that neither Obsidian Entertainment or Bio has possibilty to work on KotOR 3 currently. Of course you could hire more teams for fourth project, but that's unlikely. Bio isn't interested in. Now, this leaves two (both as bad options): Bethesda Pure sucking. Besides, I doubt they would be interested in SW as IP since they're making profit easily without it. Lucasarts itself Now this is what I fear what will happen. LA will try to make KotOR 3 by themselves! That's my deepest fear and if they announce K3 soon, that's, like, well, the only option.

Apparently I think I understand complexity of programming. I'm sure large number of those bugs were caused by fixes for other (original) bugs. If you take look in official bug list you can see many bugs that no one has ever encountered in "core" game. That's exactly reason why bug counts jump up from time to time. However, Team Gizka has always dealt with all bugs, doing top quality. I'm not blaming them, actually I admire them. But it doesn't matter in what order these bugs are fixed. If bug Y will cause new bug(s), it'll cause them, no matter if you deal with bug X before or not.

It doesn't matter if they would deal with all the trivials before minors, it would not prolong this project. However, it's all about psychological effect.
