It might be easier and cheaper to buy locally and just get your clothes tailored. I used to get most of my dressier clothes tailored and I'm not even very large, extra medium maybe.

The gameplay videos still give me warm fuzzies but all the little issues and the cuts and changes to features don't really inspire a lot of confidence I'm not too concerned with: Infinite ammo No loot system Not being able to use other people's runners Removal of the overlay system Mages only cast/Shamans only summon No progression for hired runners But I am a little worried about: Checkpoint saves Unknown system for Deckers

I would prefer DRM free when and if possible and I'll support games that are with my wallet as I believe it is an added value I'm not a fan of most DRM and especially not mandatory third party software. I spoke about it on the Steam thread a little bit but I don't hate Steam or anything but I don't own any Valve games nor do any interest me and I don't care for any of the features it offers and I've had a few minor issues with it so for me it's just an unnecessary requirement when games are Steam exclusive. Steam optional is totally fine, Origin is fine for EA games, UPlay is fine for Ubisoft games and so on. It would be nice, pie in the sky kind of nice, if those services would be optional for their games as well but at least they stick to being mandatory for their own games and my main gripe with Steam is that it has so many exclusives that are in no way related to games Valve makes or publishes... but I'm sure the blame for that falls with the devs and publishers as well. Sorry for going off topic a bit

Yeah, I would have still backed it at the same level ($125) if it was just a one and done. I know it would have been the exact same thing I'm getting now for which I've said that I would have paid less ($15 to be exact) if I knew about the DRM requirement (Steam exclusive specifically) in advance. I'm just trying to vote with my wallet for what direction I would like to see gaming go in and I wouldn't fund a Steam exclusive for the same amount as a DRM free game even if I get access to it without the DRM. It's late and I've been drinking so I hope that makes some kind of sense

Personally, I don't care about clothing or portrait packs or probably most of the stuff they will put out as DLC but they also hope to add more cities, stories, campaigns and the like and that is something I do care about. If they call it DLC or expansion pack it doesn't matter as all future content will be on Steam or possible other DRM platform (dunno what that would be but they said it). I'm not going to lie and say that I wouldn't have backed it if they would have been upfront about the DRM requirement but I definitely would have backed it for a lot less. I'm still happy to be getting the game but all this drama has kind of put a damper on it all, it's hard for me to explain. So yeah, I'll probably switch sides like Anakin and start using the Steam version when the post Berlin stuff starts rolling out because my love of Shadowrun (like half the posts in thread are mine) overrides my aversion of Steam

I guess that's that then DRM free version getting mod and patch support but no DLC because Microsoft said no

<link removed> I don't care for the song but I like the video Note: language (even in the title, sorry) and a lot of violence

I like having the whole world at my fingertips in a device that fits into my pocket and I think it's awesome to be able to look up any random question that pops into my head no matter where I am and never missing a call because I'm not at home. I also enjoy reading a book, watching a movie or playing a game on my phone or tablet while riding the train home or in a waiting room or just generally trying to kill time (I'm looking at you airplanes). It's also just really amazing technology to me and I find it interesting but I am, admittedly, a bit of a nerd I get the work complaint but that's also why I have 2 phones, if I'm not at work or on call then I don't take my work phone with me... usually. I can be a bit of a workaholic at times (tasty, tasty workahol ) EDIT: because I'm dropping words left and right

...and tuition assistance is back

Slightly under the weather (thank you random allergies in the spring) and work is pretty hectic this week with performance reviews, about 15 new projects (real number closer to 5) and a calendar full of meetings that don't really accomplish anything. Thanks to all that I've missed a couple of workouts this week as well which makes me feel even more blah. On the bright side I found a place nearby that makes some really great pho so all in all I think this week has been a net plus EDIT: As soon as I posted this I get a call from GrubHub saying that my order cannot be fulfilled as the Vietnamese family that runs the restaurant had a family emergency and that the restaurant will be closed for the next 3 weeks while they are out of the country.

GOG did DLC for Omerta: City of Gangsters
-
The Berlin DLC was promised in the Kickstarter and was originally supposed to ship as the second city of the main game which is why it is separate from the Steam requirement EDIT: It was the $1,000,000 stretch goal

Perhaps, It's not really clear aside from all future DLC will Steam only. We'll find out on Friday when they clarify the details and/or stay/change the course

The Doctor is Out: Zeschuk on BioWare, EA and consoles' uncertain future
-
I dunno it seems a little shady to me to have DRM free be one of your selling points only to later state that only the specific content mentioned (base game and second city) will be so and all future content will not. It may comply to the word of what they promised but just so and they are already losing a lot of goodwill because of it. It's disappointing Hopefully some good news on Friday

A little disappointed with the decision to go with Steam but this is one of those must have games that I'll set aside my dislike and principles for

I have a Nexus 7 tablet and both an iPhone 5 (for work) and a Nexus 4 (for play) with the awfully awesome wireless charger. Also, not really mine but my wife has an Asus Transformer Infinity with the little keyboard dock that pretty much makes it a nifty little netbook and a Samsung Galaxy S3 after switching from an iPhone 4 after a dispute with Apple customer service, though she not so secretly covets my iPhone 5.

Mildly disappointing day. After going over my upcoming trip with the wife and her family it looks like Helsinki is out and Saint Petersburg is in, which also means jumping through hoops to get a visa. Also looking into maybe getting an ultrabook or something for the trip as the laptop I use for work kinda sucks and my wife's laptop is a huge 17 inch beast of a gaming laptop that is a pain to lug around. Other than that doing some minor prep for going back to school in the fall but I have almost no interest in it at this point and I feel like I'm just checking something off of a list rather than my degree being a real goal or achievement

I dunno, we had some "mercs" from Uganda providing base security to free up our provisional rifle platoon and these guys were no joke. They weren't as disciplined as we were but they were infinitely more effective than the troops in that Mali video and I definitely would not want to go up against them

I'm a little sad we won't hit the stronghold goal but at least the Divinity KS just added it as a stretch goal

Just passed 4 million on KS alone with 4 and a half hours to go

Joe Dever's Lone Wolf gamebooks reborn as a mobile e-book/RPG hybrid I loved those books as a kid

Thinking the same. Not sure how my wife will like turn based but I'll see how it goes
