  1. I believe his companies have filed for bankruptcy four separate times though he has never personally filed He did go from hundred millionaire to billionaire, as Hurl said, and while that's not nothing it's not really that impressive either. Or maybe it is*, I dunno ...but it's not as impressive as starting with nothing or very little or just not hundreds of millions *I give him credit for having some drive and ambition and not just resting on his father's laurels.
  2. Dougray Scott
  3. I got a kick out of this Is Donald Trump a Fascist?
  4. My wife loves wine but only really only Cabernet Sauvignon so we have to plan our meals around that. I feel like I've said this before, hmm. As for me, I killed another bottle of tawny port, Graham's 10 year I think it was
  5. Even though we don't check many of those boxes you're more than welcome to come out to Denver I spoke with the mayor and he said it's ok
  6. I was thinking about my time in the military and how it was like a mix between the IT Crowd and MASH and now I really wish there was a show that was a mix between the IT Crowd and MASH
  7. Ant Man - Good
  8. 1337 game for 1337 post
  9. I always tip when I travel abroad but usually not as much as I tip here. If it's culturally ignorant then I guess I apologize for giving them more money for appreciating their service but I figure they can either not accept it or take consolation in it. Then again most of my travel has not been to Europe. Story time - When I was a wee lad and went to stay with my dad on the occasional weekend I would overhear him complain or get excited about the tips he received while working his day/cover job as a waiter and barkeep. This has obvious influenced my tipping behavior over the years and I was shocked to find out that my father was a lousy tipper himself when he came up to visit me a couple years ago. When we left the table I secretly stashed some more bills under the receipt.
  10. I picked up Queen of Fire by Anthony Ryan before I saw the poor reviews it has. I still plan on reading it but I'm a little less enthused about it now. Also grabbed Price of Valor from Django Wexler. While I've enjoyed the Raven's Shadow series more up to this point I think I might dive into this book first.
  11. I recall Batman going supervillain on Superman in some comics by threatening innocents/loved ones. Even though I think it turned out that he wasn't going to go through with it I think that's still pretty messed up. It's been a while though so I could be misremembering or just making stuff up. Still looking forward to the movie
  12. Unless Batman's suit is made out of kryptonite I don't see how this is even a thing. Superman is Zohan "I feel no pain" mode while Batman is in "all I feel is pain" mode
  13. I wonder. Do Brits want their 13 colonies back? I am not sure it was legal to break off by some crazy people back in the time. Hating tea is not good enough reason one would think...I love tea but I refuse to start misspelling words by adding unnecessary vowels or trade my guns for knives.
  14. The last one was habanero infused vodka but the others just had sliced and mashed peppers thrown in to mostly plain margaritas. One of my favorites is a pineapple jalapeño margarita which is perfectly sweet and spicy and I think they use a homemade jalapeño syrup for that one.
  15. Sorry for quoting myself but ... I must have had 15 frulis and at least 3 margaritas of increasing spiciness (jalapeno, serrano, haberno)
  16. Watching the soccer No idea what's going on* but according to the numbers on the screen we're winning. *I played youth soccer but never bothered to learn the rules beyond no hands
  17. Also never been a fan of strip clubs but I hear the strip clubs in Chicago are weird. Either no alcohol or byo. Maybe Gfted1 can set the record straight PS I will admit to going to a burlesque show last time I was there and I enjoyed that
  18. Can't help but think they would still be together if he was still Daredevil
  19. This from last year but I hadn't heard of it until now A Texas minister set himself on fire and died to ‘inspire’ justice Sad
  20. Yesterday I went to a sausage bar. Yes, a sausage bar. The food was great and the beer was even better. After that we ran some errands, walked around downtown, went to Target, and stopped by a sushi place for dinner.
  21. Sense8 is all over the place but I still kinda liked it. The parts are generally the best part of the show but that doesn't really start to happen until later on Edit - I'd say your enjoyment depends on your patience with the dense and convoluted plot Edit2 - or if you're bothered by a lot of gay/trans stuff
  22. There are crossfit-ish events and ninja warrior type contests on TV here
