The spores are not difficult at all... Pull and take out the sporelings first and then take the 2 spores alone. Don't hit your allies when they are charmed. And then I suggest you to do every areas before Caed Nua, except the temple and Readric's fortress. Do those 2 after completing all the areas and before proceeding to Caed Nua. Should be totally fine. Prioritize deflection above all early on, especially for your tanks. And also DR weapons. From there it's all about knowing the spells and knowing how to position your chars. * And yeah, you're build isn't optimal. Watch some videos on youtube, to help you figure what are the best stats for your barb. it's probably something like max might, bit of int and dex, and then the rest in perception for deflection.

Slow "running" bug?

Nevermind. I'm just gonna reload 6 hours earlier. So ridiculous. Whatever. -
Slow "running" bug?
DIXI posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hey So I'm not sur what the hell happened, but after completing 3 bounties, my main character started to "slow run". Not sur how to call this. Let me explain. If I select every other party members, they run at normal speed. But as soon as I select my main character with my party, everyone start to run slowly (like if I changed the game speed to slow). And if I, for example, select Eder to make him run at a location and then switch-select to my main, Eder changes his speed to run slowly. Wtf? I tried changing the speed of the game to see if it would fix the issue, no. I tried go in a combat and get out, still not fixed. Tried to suppress affliction on my main char, nop. And I can't freaking reload, because the game auto-saved after changing area. Great. Awesome. The speed of my main char doesn't even change in combat, he stays at half speed, basically. Am I stuck with this bug for the rest of my playthrough? Is it a known bug? Anyway to fix the issue? I'm currently uploading a very short video on youtube to show you the problem. Gonna take around 30 min though, my connection is crap. But yeah, help... please? -
Most important skills are mechanics, lore and athletic. Stealth is really nice though for positioning purpose, but other than that it is not needed. I would say 3-4 stealth is quite fine. Then, 2-3 atheltics, but you can up it for skills check. Highest atheltic check I had so far is 5, but I suspect you need more than that later in the game. 10-12 mechanic and lore. And finally, 3-4 survival. That's my suggestion!

Hey, So I was thinking, is there any possibility for the people to actually voice act the texts that couldn't be voiced over yet in the game? Could be nice if there was one. Like for Skyrim, people added NPCs with voice overs and all that stuff.

Yes, tenuous grasps can be used out of combat. So all you have to do is spam tenuous grasp until it works and the mobs are going to kill the confused mob. * And I'm not expecting anyone to go rush in fights and beat the sh** out of all the mobs on PotD. I know this can't be achieve without kitting. But seriously, mind control a mob and run? Geez. Everyone can do that, just needs patience. That's just my opinion. I was expecting some hate from my post, but yeah. That's how it is for me.

Okay, I mean, sur congratulations on getting the achievement! But it's not a legit way to get it. The point of ironman is to play the entire game with only ONE chance. Not multiple chances. By allowing yourself to quit and reload fights, you are giving yourself multiple chances. Which is, like I said, not the way it should be done. There is also other issues I have with the way you got the achievements. First, you have avoided the fights as much as possible by kitting the mobs using your mind control spells (tenuous graps, weapon of treason (which can be used out of combat)). So it is definitely not difficult to just use your spell, run away, use your spell, run away, use your spell, run away UNTIL there's one last mob standing. And from there you would just use tenuous graps and run past the last mob. Second, you also probably sneaked past enemies when you could instead of fighting them. This is like if you would use a cheat, let's say an invisibility cheat, and you activate it and run through everything. What's the point? Really? Third, I also think you skipped every side quests. Which is understandable, but meh, why. This game is supposed to be explored, not rushed. So basically, you played the main quest only and skipped stuff as much as you could. Now I'm not saying i'm not impressed. I'm actually very impressed. Especially with a cipher. Never thought it could be done! And some of the fights are scripted and you have no choice, but to go in. So I'm giving you all the credits for that. BUT, we are yet to see someone do a triple crown legitimately. Still, congratulations on your achievements!

You can switch perception to resolve. Perception is quite useless for Cipher. Unless you realllyy want to try interrupt spells by auto-attacking enemies. You'll lose 2 reflex. That's all. And reflex isn't a big deal imo.

Well, even if you do everything before Caed Nua, you're gonna be mostly level 3 and level 4 on your main. The main factor here is the equipment, the more stuff you do, the better equipd you will be for the temple. But yeah it's possible, even on PotD. I suggest you to get your full party first (go take the fighter, wizard, priest and chanter first) and then use the traps you get in the temple. Use the dart traps on the skuldrs and the fire traps on the shadows. You should be fine, but keep in mind that, the temple is a difficult area to complete .

Interesting. Talking of solo PotD, would you guys think it is possible to solo PotD with Cipher? I know it's probably possible with Rogue since they have those evasion skills (escape and invisbility), and especially since everyone is telling how strong rogues are with range weapons. But Ciphers? Having no survivability like monks or barbarians, would this work?
-
So Ciphers do seem very legit in terms of damage. What are your weapons of choice to have high DPS on your Ciphers? I know guns seems to be great (arquebus/blunderbuss), but aren't they super slow considering the reload time?
-
Hey So let's think about what would be the best DPS class in this game in your opinions, PotD wise. I've been playing with a paladin as a tank and a rogue as a DPS dealer. And da**, I must say when properly positioned, the rogue can do insane amount of damage. But he is so squishy though. One mistake and he's gone. I tried Cipher DPS wise. It's really good too. If the cipher pulls off his spells, he can do insane amount of AoE damage. But is it stronger than the rogue? I haven't played that much with ciphers, so i couldn't say. What's your opinions on the best DPS class guys?

The guy does have a point. The game basically forces you to play atleast 1 time without ironman to know the game almost by heart. Otherwise it's basically impossible to play with ironman, unless you're willing to restart the game 200 times. So I guess the option would be to add some kind of "cue", where when you over your mouse on a enemy it says "difficulty: easy, normal or hard". Or you can see the level of the enemies like D:OS. Especially since there is no way you can outrun enemies, unless you're a rogue.
