I am the type of guy, and I'm sure several of you can relate, that is content with the ordinary. I've even prided myself on not having a desire to do one thing or another because I can find equal enjoyment in so many things. This has helped me in many stages of my life. People always like when you enjoy what they enjoy, and when you want to do what they want to do. Unfortunately, I recently discovered, while talking with my girlfriend, that I perform poorly at being the one who initiates the fun, adventurous, and exciting things for us to do. Of course, she did not outright tell me I sorely lack the initiative, but I got the picture, and I will surely be making this a big priority in the near future. I have decided to tap into the notorious collective knowledge, genius, eccentricity, and general insanity in the members that this board has accumulated. I've come up with a bunch of ideas on my own, which I will surely be putting into practice in the short term, but for extra assistance I am consulting you, fellow board members. Though my primary source of relationship advice certainly does not come from the internet, I think some of you can offer cool insight and tips. What are some entertaining, fun, adventurous, or exciting things or activities that you have done with your significant other? Please list and share.

At certain stops, you attempt to get off, as in life you would attempt one thing or another, but for various reasons, you remain in a similar place, yet it is still a moving place. Thus we conclude that you aren't stagnated in your life and your decisions, but you persist to remain in a "home" area that occasionally you try to ditch. I agree with your post, but I feel Firefly was unjustly treated, because if the standards for television you describe went across the spectrum, many shows that "make it" should have been canceled long ago. And who does not appreciate the effort it takes to create flop sweat?

Considering I've only been watching about every other week, the whole thing seemed to come completely out of left field when I watched it. It was a pretty big "WTF?" moment. That sounds like what Calax was saying about being gone from the forum for a while.

In my experience there's only one way this can end well. When he's sleeping you punch him in the groin. It's the only way, trust me. He'll understand you're the alpha male. He will have no choice but to submit. I have a similar story, minus the punching groin business. My brother recently was slapping my behind with great might. I tend to be very patient with him, and I kindly requested he cease. He persisted. So I went about my business as usual, and when he came around again for another attack, I slid an open capped pen to my side and angled it toward the area he had targeted earlier. Because I did not want him in pain, I did not protrude the pen as far as I could have, but he still got marked up fairly well with a small welt where the pen marked him, on account of the intensity of strength with which he tried slap me. Needless to say, I have not been repeatedly greeted on the bottom since then.

I would like to love everyone with what God has given me. I don't always agree with the decisions people make, personal, social, economical. In fact, there are things I believe people do that are outright sinful. Yet, Christ loved me when I was outright sinful, and my life has been changed by that love. So I want to show that love to others. If I will disagree with another person, I will express that disagreement through a lovingkindess inspired by God, for I believe people can see more about who God is, i.e. good and holy, through loving and caring about others, e.g. assisting them with their emotional, spiritual, and physical needs. If God is the ultimate definition of good and moral uprightness, then showing that person my love and care will help them to see the ultimate good and moral uprightness. My own opinions be damned. God is my authority and I hope to make Him look good.

I hate when that happens. But take heart in the fact that because you organized your ideas, you'll talk to someone in the future and use a few lines out of it. Not all is lost.

Their commercials are funny. I occasionally use them to catch up on something, but watching on my pc monitor is not the same as watching it on the huge TV in HD. I'm visually spoiled now, and it's hard to sit still for less. We don't have a DVR at the moment, and I miss it. Plus my computer isn't set up with a comfy lounge chair, so it's not very appealing to watch TV on it. heh I think one of the issues I'm having with the show is that I thought originally it was supposed to be about rich people getting fantasy dates or social thingies, and it seems to be moving in the direction of it being rich people using the service for dangerous criminal missions. Which is it? The boss constantly mentioning the danger-risk percentage of a mission but allowing it anyway is akin to Kirk always mentioning (and then ignoring) the Prime Directive. Hulu, my dear. Hulu. The show has not particularly grabbed me either, yet, whereas Firefly had me hooked after an episode. I am sorry I continue to compare the two, but one would expect a writer/director to improve upon previous work, even if it's not in the same genre.

I don't see how what you guys have talked about so far has anything to do with transmissions.
