About non-Jedi classes...
Muad'Dib replied to GhostofAnakin's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I wouldn't be opposed at all to this type of game being made, however I also wouldn't be interested in playing either. For me what sets aside SW from other sci-fi is the aspect of the Force and Jedi/Sith. While a good deal of games can get away with eliminating the Force or putting in a secondary background role such as Battlefront, the X-Wing series and even Shadows of the Empire; I would find it extremely difficult to see an RPG where the PC is restricted to non Force sensitivity. Most RPGs I can call to mind allow the PC to have magical abilities of some sort and restricting the PC from that (Especially if you are to encounter Force weilding opponents throughout the game) doesn't make much sense, even if you have Force users with you. If you are fighting the all mighty Lord of the Sith (Especially a well crafted and believable one) and are a mere soldier or another class that's even less trained for combat then I find it would go beyond the suspension of disbelief in the SW universe that the PC could defeat that enemy or even his lieutenants for that matter. And having an ally Jedi npc do all the fightiing against the main villain while you just shoot from the side feels extremely anti-climactic. The only way I could see a game like this working is if Force sensitivity is eliminated altogether (Perhaps set during the Civil War where no active Jedi were around) and even still that would ultimately become boring for me. While I like all of the aspects developed in the SW universe I have to admit that the Jedi/Sith is what truly attracts me to it, taking this element out of the experience degrades SW for me severely in its uniqueness and there are other sci-fi universes that I find much more interesting and exciting in the more mundane roles of pilots, soldiers, etc. -
What do you think of Darth Sion?
Muad'Dib replied to Retnuh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah that's one of the numbers I've seen thrown around. I guess a Triad of Sith Lords isn't bad, depending what roles they play out. I wonder if each has their own disciple also, but then we'd have 6 Darths instad of 3.... -
What do you think of Darth Sion?
Muad'Dib replied to Retnuh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Since we can't play the game yet to have an idea of what the character is really like, I can't voice an opinion on his personality; he might be the most sadistic and villanous Sith Lord in the entire game or he might be a moustache twirling dumb dumb that makes you laugh at how pathetic he is instead of intimidating you. However, based on his appearance only, Sion has to be one of the very very few things that I've found so far that truly disappoint me about KotOR 2. To me he looks like a Doom 3 reject, and personality aside, I prefer Malak's look over him a thousand fold...at least for a SW game. I read that you face Sion several times during the game which leads me to believe he's a Darth Maul-like opponent and not the main villain, that is a relief. I'm not sure how many Sith Lords there will be in the entire game, I've read anywhere from 3 to 7. I have still a lot of hope for the rest of the as of yet undisclosed Sith Lords to have a much darker and commanding presence than a rotting carcass. I much more prefer the concept of MSG and hope the other Lords are in the same spirit as him. I would also welcome a female Darth, though hopefully not cheesy and lame like Sariss or Tavion from the JK series. -
The Sith are the poor man's Empire
Muad'Dib replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I agree with you completely Ivan, I was disappointed to see the Sith in an Imperial-like organization. Though I knew about the EU timeframes before playing KotOR, I always saw the Sith was as a counterpart to the Jedi, not the Republic, especially how they've been referenced in the movies. Though I understand why the Sith was set up the way it was in the game (To be an equal opponent to the Republic) I had hoped they were represented differently. But then again I disregard the EU's 25K year old Republic anyways and follow the movie Republic which has only existed 1K years. Nevertheless it didn't detract my enjoyment of the game or make me like it any less because of it. -
1up's Urquhart Feargus interview
Muad'Dib replied to funcroc's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The SW community is extremely divided when it comes to post-RotJ books and more specifically the NJO. I would really like to see a post-RotJ Knights. However, I would only be interested if either: a - The game takes place in the timeframe used in the EU (20-25 after RotJ) but DOES NOT follow the Yuuzhan Vong storyline. Personally I can't stand that series more than any other EU series out there. or b - The game is set 1,000 to 4,000 years after RotJ when the Jedi are again numerous, there is the freedom to reinvent the SW universe (Like KotOR did), we can see descendants from the movie characters and still no Vong. If the game is set up after the Vong story I (and many other SW gamers) won't even look at it. -
How did you always imagine KOTOR 2 to be?
Muad'Dib replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There is really very little information on TSL right now for me to judge the game altogether. From what I have seen of it so far, I am much more pleased than disappointed. However as to how I envisioned it or the things I'm not thrilled about: I would have preferred the PC was still Revan (thus making this a true sequel), I've always envisioned SW more fantasy than sci-fi so I would have liked to have seen that reflected a bit more (More LotR style stuff like temples, ruins, Force sorcery, creatures, etc and a little less spaceships, laser guns and robots), I would have also liked to have seen the Sith portrayed as a counterpart to the Jedi (More of a religious Order than Palpatine's Empire), I would have liked to see a few instances where the PC takes part of some large scale battles as opposed to only your little party of 3 vs everyone else. I am disappointed in Darth Sion, I prefer concepts like the masked Sith Lord over a decaying zombie. But really very little else. In the end I'm sure I'll like TSL as much or possibly even more than the original. -
I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say here. In the original KotOR I found problems using some NPC skills. Many times if the PC didn't have these skills then I couldn't do what I wanted independent if an NPC did have that skill, which made me feel that leveling up NPCs was irrelevant since the PC was the only one who could do the actions. For example if I had an NPC with high demolitions I could disarm mines with no problems. But slicing into computers and messing around with security systems I couldn't seem to do it well unless the PC had the right skills even though several of my NPCs did have those areas really developed. What I would like to know is if NPC skills here in KotOR 2 will get around this problem so that if I'm leveling up an NPC to use as a hacker then I don't need to put these skills into my PC and concentrate on skills that I am interested in also making those NPCs more useful to my party. I hope this wasn't too confusing. Thanks.

Hi Akari, Out of curiosity, why haven't any of the Prequel Trilogy aliens (Kel Dor, Zabrak, Iktotchi, etc) been used? I've only seen OT as in the first game. Will there be a Jedi/Sith armor (that can be used with Force powers and such) and if so will it actually look like knight armor (chainmails, plate mails, helmets, etc)? Thanks a lot.

The Master Apprentice Relationship
Muad'Dib replied to starwarskid15_19's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
He, he, I kinda hope there are more Jedi lurking around aside those in your party, though I know I'll never see LOTR size battles between Jedi and Sith I'd sure like to see as big a fight as possible. I think it would be really cool if you can explore the nature of the Force and discuss it and stuff with people who know little or nothing about it...course many people would probably become bored instantly but I don't need to be hacking away at everything in sight in every game I play, especially RPGs where the strength is within its story and character development. I definately want to see the exploration of the Force and the Jedi/Sith throughout the game and I'm not opposed to the inclusion of your apprentice at all. I just pointed out the impression that gives me based on the PC and the time elapsed through the story. It's not that the PC isn't strong with the Force or that he/she doesn't know how to use it; it's that the PC is not experienced and mature enough to be able to transmit this knowledge to someone else. The PC might know the book from cover to cover and know what to do and how to do it, when it needs to be done, but knowing how to teach someone else these things is different from that. But like Wheelman said maybe there will be the option to have both, maybe you can get your own apprentice in the game or decide you want to stay as an apprentice yourself longer because you don't think you're ready to teach someone else to be a Jedi. That doesn't mean the PC can't have some really great conversations with others about how he/she thinks the Force works, how the Jedi are and should be or even how to swing a Lightsaber. We'll see come winter. -
The Master Apprentice Relationship
Muad'Dib replied to starwarskid15_19's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Like I said, it just doesn't feel right to me. I don't think the PC has sufficient knowledge of the Force and the Order itself to be able to be a teacher to someone else. The result of Jolee and his wife is a perfect example on how someone who isn't a Master results attempting to teach someone else. Personally there are a lot of doctrines and restrictions I find dumb within the Jedi, so goody too shoes (sp?) I'm not, I think it's unrealistic for the PC to get an apprentice given his background, standing, and the length of time the game takes place in. Obi-Wan is as good a guess as any I can make I'm not certain how old Obi-Wan is supposed to be in the Prequels nor how old he was supposed to be by Ep4. I think the Council allowed Obi-Wan to train Anakin since he had made the promise to Qui-Gon and he told Yoda he'd train Anakin with or without the Council's approval. But I think Obi-Wan was never meant to have an apprentice so early himself, he'd just been knighted when he took Anakin on. However I do agree with you that Anakin's destruction came more about because of Palpatine's manipulations than Obi-Wan's instructions. I have no problem if they put an apprentice for the PC in the game, but it still feels wrong to me. -
The Master Apprentice Relationship
Muad'Dib replied to starwarskid15_19's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I just don't know, I find the concept of the player character having an apprentice completely unrealistic. Though I'm not certain, it is my impression that the PC is a relatively young person, while that person might be strong in the Force like Anakin, there hasn't been the years of experience to actually master the craft of being a Jedi, especially to the point where you are ready to teach this to someone else. I'm not even taking into account that the player is supposed to have been exiled and unconnected to the Force (Or whatever happened to the character) between the Mandalorian Wars and the present. And I don't know exactly over how long a period of time the story of KotOR II is supposed to take but I seriously doubt the storyline takes place over years and decades for the PC to continue to grow and mature enough to be able to become a true Jedi Master (such as Qui-Gon and Mace Windu). Personally I would prefer if the PC does not have an apprentice, but I know I'm in the minority. I guess the way I see it, it is very similar to one of the reviews I read which compared the first Matrix movie with the sequels: The journey to becoming the Chose One is always much more compelling and interesting than what happens once that person gets there. -
Hi Akari, I was wondering if there will be a variation in the styles and colors of the robes independent of what side you choose. I ask because so far I've seen in the trailer the old Ben Kenobi style and the dark robes, and assuming like the original game these will have bonuses based on alignment, I was hoping to see a little variation, though I like playing a LS character I've always liked the dark robed style (Like Anakin in Ep2) over the standard Jedi one Do you know anything about this? I know it's nothing major but just curious. Will there be Jedi and Sith armor? Something resembling knight armors that can be used with Force powers? Sorry if this was asked before. Will we be able to use helmets? Those masks in the first game seemed a bit weird without helmets or hoods. I was also wondering how come I haven't seen any use of the prequel trilogy aliens just the OT? I would have really loved to see characters that are from Prequel races like Kel Dor (Plo Koon), Zabrak (Darth Maul), Iktotchi (Saesee Tiin), Nautolan (Kit Fisto), etc. Thanks a lot.
-
The trailer was amazing, loved it. I think the guy he's referring to is the unnamed Silver armor guy that has a repeater like Canderous, he's the topic of the thread named Other Characters; in the scene he appears in the trailer his armor is reflecting golden light so he might have thought the armor is golden. In an updated preview for TSL either in IGN or Gamespot it mentions that Rand has a new head so I'm fairly possitive that's him pictured. Since the devs said that we'll get to control characters aside the pc doing their own things (like Obi-Wan and Anakin separating in Ep2) I wonder if the white haired chick using Force Crush is evil Atris or just a misc female white haired head...

Old Trilogy vs. New Trilogy vs. KOTOR
Muad'Dib replied to sandman1347's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
1) I don't think the prequel trilogy (thus far) is bad as some people do. Every single SW movie has its good points and its bad points. Sorry if this gets a bit long. There were several things that I liked about Ep1; Qui-Gon (Much better character than Obi-Wan imo), Darth Maul, cool title TPM, and the Duel of the Fates (Best saber fight in any movie). Some of the bad points for me was that the movie tended towards slapstick comedy (With Jar Jar and Gungans) that I didn't like, the inconsistencies between howObi-Wan describes meeting Anakin in OT and how it's shown here. Ep2 I feel wasa better movie than Ep1 overall, it returned the more classic banter between Anakin and Padme (like Han and Leia's exchanges in OT) that was good, also the C-3PO and R2-D2 sequences, liked Yoda's fight, liked the Clones and their toys. Didn't like: the love story needed developing, the Dooku fight with both Obi-Wan and Anakin were way too short,I would have rathered seeing Anakin presented more as tortured than whiny, terrible title. Ep4 is the classic. Naturally weforgive all of its faults due to how it wasthe first and when it was made but it doesn't mean it didn't have any problems. Characters were well developed and likeable, Death Star was kinda cheesy concept but handled well, fine acting. The Obi-Wan vs Vader duel was horrible but understandable. This is my sentimental favorite. Ep5 The best of SW movies. Loved Hoth and Luke's training in Dagobah, loved Cloud City and Luke and Vader's duel. The Vader being the father of Luke was not very original but handled well, so it's not really a problem withme. Didn't care for the Falcon asteroid sequence and the monster there but there was little else I didn't really enjoy. Ep6 Agh, here I have major problems. I feel about this movie the way many people feel about Ep1 which is why whenever people say how great the OT is I always think yeah 2/3 of it anyways. Things I hated about this movie: Ewoks first and foremost, yet another Death Star (Come on couldn't you come up with something better than using the same weapon from 4?), almost no capital ship engagements (Only one sequence where the Med Frigate exchanges fire with an ISD), Leia is Luke's sister (But of course, they needed a reason to end Luke's enfatuation with her since Ep4 without it being she dumped him and after Vader being revealed as the father Leia being the sister has little impact for me and no shock value as ESB's revelation). Things I liked: Vader's redemption and resolution with Luke, Boba Fett's death, Rancor, Emperor's death, the movie ended. Things I would have liked had Ep6 been as originally written: DS shield developed in Kashyyyk not Endor, Wookie slave revolt from Empire instead of Ewoks storyline, Luke and Vader dueling in the Emperor's throne room in Coruscant (then Had Abbadon) instead of DS's throne room, this would have made Ep6 a much better ending to the SW saga. 2) I like how the prequel trilogy is showing Palpatine's manipulations into becoming Emperor, from using both sides of Ep1's trade dispute to playing both ends of the Civil War in Ep2. I really enjoyed KotOR's storyline and it was fine for a game, however the Star Forge thing with it's endless fleets and whatnot would not be of my taste for a legit story theme. Like already mentioned though the game had much more time to be elaborated than the movies so naturally KotOR's story is richer in that aspect. 3) From your perspective no. If you have been disappointed with 1 and 2, 3 will not save the Trilogy for you. If 3 is good, then you'll appreciate it as a stand alone movie, however I see no reason 3 would change your opinion of the previous 2 movies if you already don't like them. -
Bastila looks way better, particularly in the KotOR cover art, and I loved making her crazy with the cheesy Han Solo one liners throughout the first game. Atris....yuck; I'm not into grannies, no matter how much cosmetic surgery they've gotten. I rather tomboy Mira than her.
-
I don't think Mira looks really bad, but her appearance at least in the early shots looks a bit unfemenine. Personally I would have liked much more had this been Mira: http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2002/...u_screen002.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/scree...2_screen006.jpg While some might think Aida looks a bit bimboish, with the proper voice acting and personality I think she would have made a pretty decent bounty hunter as Mira. Oh well, I still like Mira more than Atris or whatever her name is...

I think maybe you are making much more of a deal than this really is. I simply stated that I found Kreia and the white haired woman too similar for my tastes and that I was interested in seeing more diversity in the party members. Of course I'm not saying that because something hasn't appeared in the movies then it can't be used, the developers can create whatever they like. I was merely pointing out that I was basing my discussion on what I've seen in the movies. I was actually agreeing with your statement that her hair was grey from the pictures that I've seen not implying any different. I know this isn't anime, I was pointing out that I have seen that sort of interpretation done in anime and that it might be something similar, nothing else. I may have used the wrong words when making the comment about the white hair and aging, I'm certain the circumstances for the character having white hair is as indifferent as this back and forth we've got going here. I wasn't trying to spark a debate on the issue, I only mentioned I didn't like her particular look. Again I think you've misunderstood me and taken my words too literal. I've seen no major differences between the two characters pointed out because frankly neither you nor I have much information on either one. One's been barely mentioned and shown ingame while the other is nothing more than a small set of conceptual renderings. I didn't mean to say the characters were exactly the same, but that to me they look too similar for what I am hoping to see in the npc party. Furthermore I was not trying to argue or convince you of anything, only presenting my opinion since you inquired about it, I fully respect yours. I also don't think there's any particular truth in this point since the discussion has been from our different perspectives and points of view, no one is right and no one is wrong as far as I see it, you see things your way and I see them mine, I am not trying to say no you are wrong because of this and that, all I was doing was explaining why I think what I posted. In any case I guess the subject has gone now into the pointless zone since it's not really worth debating this, please don't take anything I've said personally it was just my opinion on the character according to my preferences. Anyways was fun chatting with you, I'm certain we'll clash over other topics here while we pass the time until the game comes out.

Ender I realize this is SW. I don't recall Zabraks being classified as humans, just near humans like the Chiss. Humans in SW are identical to humans in Earth, Coruscant being a futuristic Earth of sorts if you hadn't noticed. Humanity is represented identically throughout the galaxy, at least in general terms, the humans in Corellia are identical or very similar to the ones in Coruscant, Naboo and even Hapes from what I've read whose destinction is their sensitivity to bright lights. I base this more on what I've seen in the movies, I have no interest in the EU.
-
Yes I've seen Kreia's hair, at least some pigtails that appear to come from under her hood, in the pcgamer and computer gaming world pictures and it looked to me like grey as previously stated. In Japanese Animations I've seen representations of older characters, with white hair. but look like they have young skin and appearance. Since I have yet to see an ingame shot of the white haired woman, I hold the possibility that it is a representation of Kreia. But there is the distinct possibility they are two different characters. To answer your last question, which you ask my personal opinion yes I would mind. Since there are so few companions in the game, I would prefer them to be a diverse and different as possible. This is just my preference, I do not like the white hair on the younger Jedi woman. White hair is a result of aging, unless a specified medical condition like albinos, or peroxide bleaching which I seriously doubt seeing Jedi doing. I would rather she be a brunnette (my faves and who unfortunately are usually represented as female villains), redhead (though I think Mira is a red so I don't think they'd use that) or blonde (Usually representing token good girls). So for my preferences, I would rather see the female protagonist (Should this character be the Bastila of KotOR 2) look more like the age she supposedly represents. Again, just my preferences.
-
Kreia is the PC's mentor so if she's not a full Jedi then that would make her an extremely crappy Jedi mentor imo. You may not find similarities nightcleaver but I do. The fact they both have grey/white hair, both Light Sided Jedi (As the renderings show the White hair woman fighting the masked Sith warrior) and both seem to have kimono (sp?) style clothing they seem to me as very much alike. The fact that the mystery woman appears to have a younger appearance in some pictures, making her an albino, or if she's white haired due to her age as in other pictures she looks to be a little older, either way I see very little distinction to Kreia. I would like to see the party members be more distinct from each other, especially the Jedi. Mira (The Bounty Hunter) for example looks very different from these two other women, as does Bastila for that matter, I find it disappointing if there's two charcaters so alike in appearance in the game. I just hope the appearance of the women is more varied in the game.
-
I don't think it's Bastila, she may appear in the game if it's true what the devs say about your decisions on how the first game ended dictating who shows up and who's in your party in this one. I find it kind of interesting that your character supposedly tells the game how the first one ended since it has been made extensively clear that the player never took part in the events of the first game since he/she was banished out there somewhere. I hope that the "white haired woman" is just an artist rendition of Kreia because I find it redundant and extremely disappointing at the concept of two white haired, light sided female Jedi in the party. Really, one white haired woman wilding a lightsaber is enough for me.

That hurts to read. Greedo shooting first? ANH got changed the most. Adding the dewbacks, and cleaning things up didn't bother me. Changing major plot points and adding a HORRIBLE cgi Jabba was a huge mistake. ESB was the best touch-up. The backgrounds in Cloud City look great. ROTJ is alright. I was serious about not caring for the new Ewok song however. I did like the shot of Coruscant. Oh sorry forgot about the Greedo shooting thing, though it was dumb and looked bad as special effects go, I can't say it bothered me as much as you. But I would have preferred that scene to have remained the same, the Jabba sequence would have been alright had the tail thing not happened. But aside those two points I don't find anything wrong with Ep4 SE, I like the cleanup, the Dewbacks, the Millenium Falcon leaving Mos Eisley, the new X-Wing vs TIE Fighters sequences, etc. What actual major plot point was changed again??? I seriously hope you're not implying Han frying Greedo first was a major plot point... I completely agree with ESB. When I read about what the original RotJ might have been; Endor being Kashyyyk, a serious badass Wookie slave revolt instead of the damn care bears, and Luke and Vader dueling in Coruscant (then Had Abbadon) in front of the Emperor instead of Death Star pt 2 (Oh we just couldn't come up with anything better than yet another DS), that truly makes me weep since that is how the entire story supposedly closes and it doesn't come close to delivering what ANH and ESB built up, at least for me. Like I said RotJ for me was so bad to begin with that the SE doesn't bother that much, however that musical number was revolting for sure. As for Hayden replacing Sebastian Shaw, I really don't mind. The last time Vader looked human was as Hayden looks in Ep3, so I could interpret that when he returns to the light he goes back to the way he looked when he was last human as opposed to what he might have looked like had he still been human in his current age. The closing song I didn't care about either way, but like you I did like how they showed Tatooine, Bespin and Coruscant celebrating in the closing. Back on topic; GhostofAnakin you're right, february is still considered winter so it might not mean anything different than the original release date.
-
I'm sorry but you're mistaken. Plenty of Star Wars documentaries touch on Lucas at the time on ANH going for the British feel of the Empire. Name one non-British actor amongst them. The British comedian Eddie Izard even has a bit about it. David Prowse also bitched for years because he didn't know he was going to be voiced over in a ANH. He was cast because of his British accent, which was too thick coming through the mask. The voice over was a post-production decision that Prowse didn't know about until he saw the film in the theatre. Even worse, the death scene in Jedi was filmed with a different actor so Prowse wouldn't know about it. Despite being the "body" of Vader in all three films, he didn't get a script in the shooting of Jedi, and he didn't get to be the face under the mask. Lucas didn't trust the actor with the secret of Vader dying. There were plenty of non-americans in the Rebellion, Dennis Lawson who plays Wedge is Scottish (And Ewan McGregor's uncle for those that don't know), the guy that played Biggs had a british accent, of course Sir Alec Guiness who played Obi-Wan, Caroline Blakiston who plays Mon Mothma is british, Dermot Crowley who played Crix Madine is irish, among others. As for the Empire, several of secondary Imperial characters had amercian accents in Ep4 and Ep6. For example the guy Vader chokes in the meeting with Tarkin that's one as you requested, the guy Han Solo blasts after they steal the Stormtrooper outfits who thinks they have a down transmitter, the guy in charge of the prison level didn't sound like he had a british accent, in Ep6 the Death Star shield operator and the shuttle pilot in the beginning didn't have british accents, at least one of the Imperial officers in the control bunker in Endor that captures Han and the Rebel Strike team also...those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Eddie Izzard did make a very funny joke about the subject of Imperials being British, course he mentioned ESB which is the one I said the director divided the accents between the british and americans (I also saw this in a documentary though it was so long ago I couldn't be able to tell you which one), then again he also said the Death Star was full of british actors when he referrenced ESB which as you know did not have a Death Star. As for David Prowse well somehow I cant see Vader with any other voice than James', but if in fact he was so ticked off about being dubbed over I'm sure he wouldn't have then continued to be the body in the suit for the other movies, I'm sure anyone could have filled the suit in his stead had there been a problem, also I read David was hoping to wear the costume again in Ep3 so I can't see him having hard feelings about the voice over. Regardless, if he was disappointed all I can say is that I'm sympathetic, but there really is nothing I can say.
-
I don't know if it has been mentioned or not but in the Lucasarts site the release date said Winter last time I looked. As long as the game is balanced, bug free and complete in what it is supposed to have I'll be happy of whatever release date, sooner or later, just long enough for it to be ready. Off topic, I don't really mind changes to the OT DVDs, at least the ones I've seen so far. The Special Edition Ep4 was almost flawless, except the Jabba tail squishing thing. ESB had very little changed from what I recall, the improved Wampa and that ISD that gets blown up in the asteroid field and maybe some beauty shots and backgrounds in Cloud City, fine by me. The Emperor replacement doesn't bother me either, hell I always thought it weird the Emperor in Ep5 didn't match the one in Ep6 so I really don't mind at all they made him look like Palpatine from Ep6 instead of freaky bug eye man. RotJ....hmm, well that movie was terrible whether they changed it or not so I really have no preference on it one way or the other.
-
The only of the movies to separate the British and American accents between the Empire and Rebellion was ESB, on the recommendation of the director Irvin Kershner, who wanted to make an appearance of two different sides by the accents they had or something to that effect. Both Ep4 and Ep6 had multi accented characters in both sides. While I have heard the whole Emperor hates aliens thing before it has always been in relation to the EU, but I have not read the OT novelizations so I have no clue if it is explained there or not. I think it would be great to see some saber wielding Siths that are aliens...Siths the counterparts for Jedi not the Imperial-like Sith Empire that is in KotOR. But then again I'd like it even more if I could see some actual alien Jedi. Where are all the prequel species, I want to see some Kel Dor like Plo Koon getting medieval on some Sith Acolytes, Zabraks and demon headed Iktotchi. I don't like only tentacle headed Twi'leks or OT species making appearances in the entire game.
