I added a couple of more pics. So far that head and Atris are the only White haired characters I've seen. But maybe there are more. Still at least this one should be something for you Shadow. I just hope there's variety and diversity. And I hope the bodies aren't as anorexic as the Scout and Scoundrel were in the first game.

No that's white hair...the lighting in that screen is making her look blonde. Here's the same head, it's dark but you can see she has white hair. Some people believed this to be Atris at one point but a dev stated it was just a head PC. One of the E3 videos also features this female head played in DS. Sorry but she's not blonde. Added a couple more... http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/...7_screen032.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/...8_screen001.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/...8_screen007.jpg

Actually that's the white haired female PC head, her hair looks a litlle yellow there but it's the lighting. I've seen her in a bunch of other shots and in one of the early preview videos usually as DS.

Ah all the Freighters that have been developed are just ripoffs of the Falcon. The YT-2000 from X-Wing Alliance and Dash Rendar's YT-2400 Outrider are just minor modifications to the Falcon's design. The Ebon Hawk was this also, but like those ships I mentioned before I also like the Ebon Hawk just fine. I would have liked however that we would have gotten a different ship in KotOR 2 because the Hawk is Revan's ship and should have stayed that way. It does feel gimmicky "finding" the Hawk and I would have preferred a new ship in the new game but I do think it was a cool ship.

Thanks for the correction. Oh and I never replied on topic did I: Yeah to whatever was said. I would've liked to see speeders, buses, hovertanks, bullet trains, sail boats, pogo sticks and other means of transportation in KotOR. I mean not everything you are searching for has to be right next to each other in every planet, it's completely unrealistic. Chartering inplanet transportation would've been a cool addition for things like travelling the Dune Sea in the first game. I know KotOR 2 has a little like the shuttle that travels from Citadel to Telos, but I do wish it had been much more expanded upon. -
I really wish that KotOR 2 had included Jedi Armors with helmets to have variation between that and the robes. But I definately agree that helmets were and probably still are a missing necessity in KotOR.
-
Lol you would be frightningly surprised at what I saw in the 3 months I played Galaxies... But I also would like to see those types of options in a game.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines will have something like this incorporated, I'm still a little unsure how it will turn out in the end but it's an RPG played in First person and the magic and weapon attacks are presented FPS style. I guess the jury will be out on that until the game is released. I'm hopeful the game will be good, in spite of being a little unconventional. I've heard Deus Ex is sort of like this but I've never played that game either. As for KotOR I'm happy with the way the game works, even the combat is quite satisfying to see for me. I don't really care that I don't control every swing, besides I could do that in JK series and saber battles there aren't all that great anyway. The KotOR style fighting is more automatic but I like its cinematic appearance. I like the way KotOR looks when played, especially over the conventional RPG overhead look of games like Baldur's Gate, Diablo and such. I love those games but I've never really liked that look personally. -
Well there's a new blond guy in KotOR 2, looks decent enough from the screenies. I don't know about blond women but at least there's a white haired female head for you Shadow OrganisedChaos: A grooming option would certainly be a first (Shaving, hair cuts, etc) but I sincerely doubt they'll implement that sort of thing as most people wouldn't be interested in it. That would be like having different hairstyles in female PCs (Ponytail, loose, up, wet style, Leia bun style) I don't see something like that being interchangeable during the gameplay. I wouldn't mind the whole grooming type things as it adds realism but I doubt anyone would consider putting it ingame.

X-Box was 500 at least here when sold in a bundle package with an additional controller and I don't recall if 2 or 3 games. 1 controller and by iself was 300. Notice how the majority of X-Box 2's features you posted are basically features of a PC. Like I said I just gre tired of consoles, they become obsolete way to fast with nothing to do but buy a brand new console. Of course this will be different with the upgradable feature of X-Box 2 at least to a point. PCs are expensive no doubt, but you can always find ways to get things a more reasonable prices; through friends, specials, etc. I have a friend who is a computer tech and buys RAM at factory price, so I get RAM from 20-40 bucks. My new video card is a 500 card I got it for 100 from another friend, he barely used it but someone he knew was selling him an even more powerful card so he sold me his brand new 500 dollar card in 100. In the long run I just see my PC as a better investment than a console and that's beside the other uses I have for it. Because the primary purpose I got the computer for was to be able to study and do assignments on it. It don't matter though, if you like consoles I'm happy for you. I used to play them all the time, now I don't and I don't feel I'm missing all that much. I have friends that have X-Box, PS2 and Gamecube and a very few exceptions aside I haven't really liked the games I've seen in them. I guess it's all a matter of taste.

Oh mullet man, he's who most people tell me they choose. I think I saw him with a full beard in DS though that might have been a mod... Shadow: I've seen some of the new heads in the latest pics and at least to me they do seem a lot better. We'll just have to wait and see.

I actually have found consoles much more consuming in money than my comp. Sure it was more expensive than a console when I first bought it (About 1K) but every console usually comes out between 300-500 bucks. My comp upgrades have never been beyond 220 bucks altogether and that's including my newest video card. My comp is more than 4 years old and I'm running Doom 3, FarCry and other heavies smoothly, most games I run in high (Except Doom 3). For me the comp was a much better investment and it turned out much cheaper than had I paid 300 for PS2 or 500 for X-Box when they first came out. And this is because I skipped consoles such as the Jaguar, Dreamcast, and Neo Geo that also were super expensive and had really short life spans. So consoles are pretty much dead for me, even X-Box and PS2 are already slated to be replaced in a year so I'll just update my comp instead of end up with another console I can't even play anymore because they no longer produce games for it. If I take my PS1 for trade in they offered me 20 bucks...20, I payed 300, I mean seriously I won't fall for that again.

Don't know all I remember is that I rather using the soldier just to have a better body (Even though I preferred Scout because of their abilities) and I always was in pain when looking at my head. Except when I played DS, then I used that scar guy that got the goatee after turning evil...he was ok then.
-
The female heads in the original game didn't seem as bad to me, but I don't play as a girl so that didn't matter. The male heads were pretty terrible there's no argument here.
-
He, he, Shadow lets agree to disagree on that one. For me consoles became a waste of time and money as they go obsolete every 4 years or so. I can always buy an upgrade for my comp when necessary and it's always much less than what I invest in buying consoles every time a new one comes out. Right now I have a total of 6 consoles or additions (Sega CD, 32X) collecting dust here and 5 of which will never see activation again. And some of these things didn't even have a life span of a full year, like my 32X. After yet again it occured and my Playstation became obsolete because of the PS2 I forgot all about consoles. Sure consoles get preferential treatment from game publishers and devs but that affects me little, only when a game I'm interested in is put out on consoles only does it bother me. Still I'm more than happy with my switch to PC gamer.

Most attractive GIRL in Kotor
Muad'Dib replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yep Chemix I believe that was the advanced XBN preview that was played...it said there were 30 new heads for the PC and none of the old ones were going to be used. On topic: As I have posted in every single other post similar to this, Bastila is my choice. Loved her artwork and loved her ingame. If ingame Mira has been changed to look more like her artwork then she's a close second. -
What past do you want your character to have?
Muad'Dib replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh I know it could be either one, I just tried to explain why they'd chase you even if you weren't known as uber-powerful. I can go either way as far as background, powerful or not, the PC will become powerful during the game. I would like to see somethiong that was said sometime back that as you gain recognition for your actions then enemies and npcs react accordingly. You've killed 700 Sith, the next Sith group you meet shouldn't be full of themselves knowing you diced an entire enclave of their fellow warriors. The battle thing would be great, something like the Star Forge at the end of the first game where other Jedi npcs helped a little bit. I would like to see it a little more often this time around than just once though and have the battle be a little longer than aroom or two with your fellow non-partty npcs. -

Muad'Dib replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Actually Craftsman we don't know if they converted other Jedi, they might have. Well obviously the player will be some kind of super-Jedi (Especially during the game) to be able to kill 7500 Sith almost singlehandedly. Ok please forgive the analogy but it's the only way I can think of right now to try to explain why I think they Sith would be after the player regardless of his/her Jedi standing. Think that the Sith are a government and the player is a known terrorist against that government, now the player isn't a leader of a group or anything like that but is still a known terrorist. Do you think the government would still chase him/her or allow that person to walk around freely? Again I know this is a real dumb analogy but maybe it helps a little to understand why they might be chasing the player. To the Sith all Jedi are a threat and they want to eradicate them completely. As such when they learn that a Jedi is still alive the Sith would have it in their best interest to kill that Jedi. Luke wasn't always powerful but he is a good exmaple of the kind of threat one Jedi could pose, Palpatine wanted Luke taken out or turned since he learned of his existence. While you might say Luke is the son of Vader and therefore a known threat, at that time Luke was barely a pilot and had he not been trained at all might not have learned to use the Force correctly ever. Hope this helps a bit. -

PC just like I did with part 1. I don't play consoles anymore, the newest console I have is Playstation 1 and I rarely use it.

Muad'Dib replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
We're not exactly sure what's happened to the Jedi yet. It's pretty safe to assume that there are plenty of Jedi in hiding, and I hope that we'll be able to fight alongside non-party Jedi npcs to have a few battles a little more epic than the regular 3 on 5 confrontations. If you recall the first trailer that was released the voiceover says they're interested in turning the player to the DS but if he/she doesn't then the player would face the wrath of the Sith. Maybe one of the Sith Lords is trying to recruit you while another is trying to kill you, remember that the Lords might not be working together. In any case wiping out the last known Jedi is enough of a logical incentive to me for the Sith to send assassins after you without you being a Skywalker. They want all the Jedi dead, they just found out a Jedi outcast from the Mandalorian Wars is still alive, wouldn't you as a Sith order him/her taken out just in case regardless of who that person is? -

Muad'Dib replied to Ne'rou Karrik's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Welcome to the boards Ne'rou. Though nothing has ever been confirmed the most common belief is that Coruscant is the homeworld of humanity in SW. Humans are the most common species and are in the highest positions of galactic power, Coruscant is the capital of the galaxy so it's a pretty safe assumption Coruscant is the natural birthplace of humans. Also if you look at it, Coruscant is basically a futuristic Earth. But again there's never been any official announcement of a homeworld that I know off. -
What past do you want your character to have?
Muad'Dib replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well Craftsman I think the character would be hunted by the Sith just for the fact that he/she is a Jedi, simpleton or not, after all the Sith want to wipe out the Jedi entirely just in case. It's like the last Starfighter, they sent assassins after the protagonist not because he was a reknown uber-fighter but because it was presumed he was an active member of the Starfighter League (When he wasn't) and therefore preceived as a threat. The same could be said here, the Sith are covering their bases, even a simpleton Jedi can be a threat of sorts. But it really doesn't matter since the PC is an uber-Jedi anyway. Still I would like to have seen the additional family/friends things explored for character development purposes, nothing to do with the simpleton or Jedi He-Man thing. -

True you wouldn't have had contact with them during your apprenticeship as a child but I would like to encounter them in the game. All these loner characters just feel so empty and devoid of any life whatsoever, they only hang out with their party members or interact with people that send them on quests, other than that they're like hermits and I hate that, it's completely fake. Even Obi-Wan had friends like Dex outside the Order. But I just feel this way because I see RPGs as supposedly based around the story and the development of the characters within, usually all the PC develops is magic points (In this case Force abilities) and skills. And the only character development occurs within the party, I find that immensely disappointing. Yep I agree Jad'en that all have the ability to become uber, that's why I sneer when I hear about Side aligned Force powers in the games, all Force powers are neutral by definition. Dooku and Palpatine were so powerful in the Force they are able to use Force Lightning it isn't becuase they're DS. -

Muad'Dib replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
According to everything I've read the PC is not an amnesiac in terms of their past or identity. They don't know where they are at the moment the game begins or how they got there but the player knows who he/she is and their background. On topic: I don't mind playing uber-Jedi, they kinda have to be to defeat the number of Sith and other enemies they encounter through the entire game. But I also would like a little more background this time around, make the character feel more real than just something in my own head that never comes to be anyway. Also (I know it's a little hard to implement due to the variety of heads for the PC) but one thing I am really tired of is these PCs that have absolutely no families or relatives, only the friends in their parties. For once I'd like to see a PC that actually has parents and other siblings, don't know what they would do in the game, but I'm so sick of these loner backgrounds (Especially in RPGs where the focus supposedly is character development and story). Though relatives do nothing for the game itself, I feel it helps complement the actual story in the game by making it more personal and deviating a bit from just having the galaxy is in peril and we do nothing else in the game. I would like to see more elaborated non-party npc interactions and relationships such as relatives and things that don't necessarily revolve around a quest in the game. But that's just me
