  1. It's funny. I've never actually heard someone say anything than praise for the second movie, yet I see it typed all the time. It's like people are scared to say they didn't like the second one except on the internet... for whatever reason that would be. Personally, I loved the second one, and I can't wait for the third. I dig popcorn movies.
  2. Yeah, it seems to me that Good News was their first attempt at making this new album, except it just didn't work out just as well, with all the experimental tracks. Deftones - Change (House Of Flies)
  3. Man, this was the first forum I've been too that avoided vet nostalgia, and I wanted to keep it that way. It always leads to arrogance and shutting-out of newbies.
  4. The problem I have encountered with people who like their new album is that I don't know what others to recommend them. It pretty much blends the different styles encountered in "The Lonesome Crowded West", "The Moon & Antarctica" and "Good News For People Who Love Bad News". I usually end up recommending Good News For People Who Love Bad News because that's how I first got into them, and is probably the most accessible. The Moon & Antarctica is the most well-reviewed and generally considered the best, whereas The Lonesome Crowded West is probably their weirdest, most spiteful work. The Pixies - Monkey Gone To Heaven
  5. The worst part of reading that article was seeing Lars Ulrich's face on the side. Anyway, playlist on random/repeat with among others: Others included are: Beck - Odelay Foo Fighters - The Colour and Shape Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People Mark Lanegan - Here Comes That Weird Chill Eels - Souljacker Alice In Chains - Facelift Picked because these seem to be the albums that inspire me the most to write some good stuff of my own.
  6. Suicidal Tendencies - I Saw Your Mommy (Also known as "the song Puddle of Mudd wrote new lyrics too about how the girl ****in' hates him")
  7. Spinvis - Smalfilm Spinvis is basically the dutch version of Beck, or maybe Mr. E. I don't like his music quite as much though. Smalfilm is his best song.
  8. Drones are for weaklings. You REALLY win if you win with a Runner. (Sadly, this is next to impossible because one stray bullet = death. Combining this with the availability of Pulse Rifles and Miniguns...)
  9. Because larping is in the same realm as furies and cosplay. Larping is something that can only be seriously done when you are about 8. Those were the days. Being too cowardly to have fun because people might look at you weirdly, however, is something that can be done seriously by people of all ages.

There will be no Bebop and Rocksteady while Laird or Eastman are in any way involved.
  11. If she dumped you for that, you're better off without her anyway.
  12. Band: Eels Movie: Raiders Of The Lost Ark TV Series: House Cartoon: Freakazoid! Book: The Silence Of The Lambs Comic Book: Installments of Deadpool/Agent X by Gail Simone PC Video Game: Dungeon Keeper Console Video Game: Little Samson Games Console: NES Drink: Guinness Food: Sat
  13. She should the supreme court for emotional and physical pain.
  14. The new Clap Your Hands Say Yeah album... Eh. More of the same. I guess that's good. I was just expecting something new.

Main character Usually the focus of the entire film Appears in nearly every movie. I like the one in The Mummy II. They knew he was gonna be annoying so they put him in situations where he could pretty much only annoy the bad guys. As for Jurassic Park, it doesn't bother me as much that Lex hacks the computer system and saves the day, it bothers me more that Tim is just jumping up and down. "Hey Timmy, mind giving us that gun there that could save our necks but we just can't reach?"
  16. Myself playing the acoustic version of Times Like These by the Foo Fighters (which was the first song I learned to play and is still one of my favourites).
  17. How did Cars not have a story?
  18. "We're taking over this town." Alice In Chains - Frogs
  19. Bio-engineering always makes me think of GenPets. http://www.genpets.com/index.php
  20. I will generally like anything except most rap. Doesn't mean I'm "in the know" about anything except most rap. I am prejudiced against rap and I know this, but I don't care. Generally I would say the music I listen to most is stuff that is some form of rock, with some exceptions. Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Blur, The Pixies, Mogwai, Eels, Shaman, Modest Mouse, Alice In Chains, Sufjan Stevens, Incubus, Beck, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Finntroll, Broken Social Scene, Foo Fighters, Metallica (everything except St Anger, I don't mind their forays into post-grunge), Sonic Youth, Skyclad, The Shins, Gorillaz, Daft Punk. Also, I must admit I listen to some Nu-metal/post-grunge bullcrap. These would be Godsmack, Disturbed, Orgy, Puddle of Mudd and Staind. I am not ashamed. I am comfortable with liking this. I am enlightened. EDIT: Also, Deerhoof, Loreena McKennit, Bearsuit, The Flaming Lips. Basically, any rock music that is considered 'poser' and any indie music that has apparently sold out.
  21. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutating Rocksteady & Bebop. Those were awesome. Also, Jurassic Park Jumbo T-Rex (First series).
  22. Oh yes. In fact, they are blaming Marr for the new song sucking so badly. Which is odd, because I think it's an indie rock gem. Pavement - Cut Your Hair (I'm just a boy with a new haircut, and it's a pretty nice haircut!)
  23. Modest Mouse - Dashboard New Modest Mouse Single! z00t! Me like! (w00t)
  24. When a movie that relies on humor has no funny jokes in the trailer, I have little hope.
  25. Die Hard With A Vengeance is nearly on a par with the original Die Hard. (The second, however, is horrid) Anyway, I saw Howl's Moving Castle which... I guess was good. I dunno, it was good, but it was just so... Miyazaki.
