  2. Thanks for saving me the trouble, Krookie.
  3. Alice In Chains - Head Creeps
  4. Of course you know one troop can't build an army. Congratz.
  5. Not really. The Dark Knight is an alias of Batman moreso than it is a comic title. Similarely, the new Superman flick will be called "The Man of Steel".
  6. I am neutral towards Heath Ledger. He did some things I like (Brothers Grimm, Ned Kelly) and some things I don't like (The Order, A Knight's Tale). I wonder what he will do with the parts he's involved with currently, playing Bob Dylan (as are many others in the same movie) and the Joker.
  7. I agree. He fits roles like the one in the Ocean's Teen series much more, just as how Leonardo DiCaprio is more suited to roles like Catch Me If You Can.
  8. I suppose that is true. Prevention of someone derailing is more important than fixing someone who has already derailed. However, as I said before, I don't think killing someone on the victim's behalf is going to prevent them from derailing in any way. (Assuming you meant it in that way... I'm not completely sure what your point was.)
  9. He is right, in fact. The Bond franchise is neither. Originally appearing 1954, with 28 installments excluding the western remake, Godzilla smashes Bond's 21 films since 1962. As for most succesful movie series, whereas the Bond franchise has roughly grossed and impressive 4 billion, it can't even hope to come near the estimated 20 billion of Star Wars.
  10. The Shins - Mine's Not A High Horse These are the muddy waters I'm swimming to make a living Were I to drown in them, it should come as no surprise.
  11. "If that was your daughter would you feel the same way?" I have absolutely no interest in what her parents have to say, and neither should anyone. The girl is the victim here and who we should focus on, and I have to say I'm much more worried about the effect this would have on her. I assume this would make the child only more conflicted in adult life. Not only did she face horrible trauma, but as a result someone was basically killed on her behalf. You're not doing that girl a favor by killing her rapist, people.
  12. See, I watch a lot of movies as well and I have to say that only the first Bourne film was worth watching, but had a lack of tension and is easily Matt Damon's worst role. The second Bourne movie killed off the best thing from the first right at the start (Franka Potente's character) and then proceeded to try and be intense by shaking the camera even during exposition close-ups making it the most headache inducing film I have ever seen. As for Bond films, they have their fair share of stinkers as well, but I'm pretty sure that Dr. No and Goldfinger rank way above the cinematic Bourne's. (I can't judge on the book versions, as I haven't read any of them. I am not a fan of spy novels.)
  13. Well hey, TN, not everyone is a rocket scientist like yourself. Your moron quote only proves that the moron is you. Go dingo yourself. Look, man, I'm not saying I'm a rocket scientist. I have problems following some movies myself. Hell, I've watched Donnie Darko four times and I still haven't a clue what it's about. I'm just saying, this movie was as formulaic as they come, and not being able to follow it is the same thing as not being able to follow, say, Indiana Jones. It isn't even neccesary to give it your full attention, and it's still completely clear what's happening. So, really, if you don't "get" Pirates 3, you're plainly a moron. There was a ten year old sitting behind me who was accurately predicting the entire movie, for chrissakes.
  14. I just saw Pirates 3 last night and I have come to the conclusion that the critics are right and wrong, but they are still morons. The critics is right on the account that it is a little too long. They are, however, DEAD wrong on the account that the movie is hard to follow (as they were with the second, and to some extent, the third). The plot of all three movies is cookie cutter clear, and how anyone can say "it's hard to keep up with" is completely beyond me. I didn't even have to TRY to keep up. Basically, what I'm saying is, if you found any of these movies hard to follow and complain with witty phrases like "having to keep a scorecard", you are complete and utter moron. I think the reviews of these movies pretty much prove how retarded the world has become.
  15. And cameras that are entirely unable to stop moving (the second movie, anyway).
  16. I'm pretty sure starcraft is going to be hardcore ability fest....From what I saw of the videos things like the immortals special energy shields, there dragoons that can blink, zerglings that turn into rolling terrorists, and a bunch of other stuff. Every unit they showed besides terrain had a special ability, a lot of the times not passive. I read something about that though. Apparently some abilities are inbedded in the A.I., like the Protoss Zealot charge ability.
  17. In their defence, they were learning as they went as it was their first 3D Game.
  18. Blizzard doesn't do release dates anymore. They kept not making them anyway. No need to translate, the official site is live, with trailer in english http://www.starcraft2.com/ If the game trailer is indicative of the level of commitment to detail in the rest of the game, then this game is going to be very deep and compelling. Sadly, Blizzard always has good game trailers; it's not always an indication of how deep a game is. WarCraft III was about as deep as a puddle (I still thought it was fun though). But I really figure this game will be good; they're showing a lot of care and dedication in keeping the feel of the StarCraft universe intact. Also, they learned some new tricks storytelling wise since the original.
  19. I don't see where this equates to drugs.
  20. My favourite quote is from Eels' Mr. E. When asked for a quote by some magazine about Kurt Cobain's posthumuously published diaries, he claims: "Please don't do this to me after I kill myself."
  21. Modest Mouse - Sleepwalking
  22. Actually, Willem Dafoe appears in both Spider-man 2 and 3 as cameos.
  23. If you're an artist, write and draw comic books. If you're just a writer, find and artist and write comic books with him(or her). Look at new oppertunities; the world wide web for example. Webcomics are enormously popular AND profitable (through merchandise etc). Seriously, don't give up on becoming a comic book writer. I'm planning on going into webcomics soon myself, but only as a side project. What is more important for me right now is to learn how to work with 3D programs because nearly every job opportunity in the animation sector requires it. (Seriously, though, the animation sector, actually more the design sector for me, is a much better fit for me than being a paleontologist and I thoroughly enjoy it. Especially since I get a lot of freedom. A lot of times I can be my own writer and director.)
