  2. That strikes me as a pretty nasty thing to say... Well, anyway, I'm a huge dinosaur nut, but they don't seem to be coming to Holland, so I guess I'm out of luck.
  3. Heh. That reminds me of a comic I read where the characters played DnD, and one of them played an Elven Barbarian named "Glorfinmad".
  4. Jerry Cantrell - My Song
  5. I think the most interesting characters I write or play are the ones who I have the least in common with. Or even ones I don't really like. It makes me less afraid to throw everything I've got at them for the sake of storyline, drama and tension. That being said, I've done the occasional Mary Sue (Gary Stu?) and none of them ever turn out as bad as the ones the wikipedia entry describes. Mary Sues can be good characters, but sadly most of the people using them just suck at writing. The exception is the "Angsty Stu", which always sucks. I took it upon me to make an Angsty Stu which was not a bad character, but I failed and gave up after several attempts. It did leave me with some interesting character ideas that may end up in non-Sues though.
  6. This test fails because it left out vampire.
  7. Can't wait, Cant. Thanks for the update!
  8. Me neither, and I've watched it several times.
  9. I figure most of you have figured out the first four tests by now (they're not incredibly difficult). The last one, though, you have to spell out in the alien alphabet: "The Beginning Is The End"
  10. http://www.ethanhaaswasright.com/ BOW DOWN.
  11. That reminds me of the time my history and english teacher's brought in an actual neo-nazi to my school for educational purposes (I'll be damned if I can figure them out). The guy was completely convinced that the jew destruction camps and stuff didn't happen. When we asked him to explain, he said "have you ever seen one"? But we live quite near one of the transitional camps in Holland, and most of us answered "yes" in choir. We then proceeded to ask him if he ever saw "Scheveningen", a dutch city. He said no. "Well, that must mean it doesn't exist."

Doubtful. Most vegetarians I know just can't stand the thought they're eating something that was once moving around. If someone is still a vegetarian to "save the animals" they are very misinformed, considering the trouble caused my growing and harvesting meat replacements.

What exactly does Harry Potter represent? If he represents anything at all? I think you're giving it too much credit, Wals.
  14. Both have their merits, but at least randomized characters lead to more creativity while actually playing. Otherwise the creativity generally goes only into the character creation and nothing interesting gets done with the character. That seems like a waste of a good character to me. Of course, that may just be me. I have no interest in statistics and whatnot, after all.
  15. One word: Because. I watched "The Dark Crystal" again yesterday. That movie is so well-designed.

Cows rule! In all seriousness, a lot of species were laying eggs before chickens ever appeared. So, the egg.
  17. Starship Troopers also had a lot of boobs. (If you haven't noticed by now, it was a joke...) Seriously, though, Paul Verhoeven doing Transformers would have been awesome, but it would also never happen because I'm pretty sure its impossible for Paul Verhoeven to make a non R-rated movie. Though Starship Troopers would NOT be the example I would have picked, because that movie doesn't ever know when to take itself seriously and when not to. NOT a sign of someone who knows what to do with cheesy material. Try RoboCop instead.
  18. Paul Verhoeven? So basically, what you're saying is... you wanted more boobs.
  19. Something Steampunk Fantasy-ish.

If I can't see the glass there's no way for me to verify anything, therefore I do not possess the neccesary information to answer this question. If there is indeed no glass, however, I couldn't verify anything anyway, because you cannot prove a nonexistance. Because of this, until other information is provided, I shall think the most likely to be correct answer is: there is no glass. However, I do see a mug right in front of me which is a little less than half full.
  21. Just because of that, I shall recite the lyrics to Eels "Elizabeth on the Bathroom Floor" where E recounts the last hours of his sister's suicide. Laying on the bathroom floor Kitty licks my cheek once more And I could try But waking up is harder when you want to die Walter's on the telephone Tell him I am not at home 'Cause I think that I am going To a place where I am always high My name's Elizabeth My life is **** and piss
  22. To me, Christmas is a winter celebration that was altered slightly for some due to a culture-shift. The whole religious thing doesn't bother me. I have no problem believing Jesus Christ was born around that time anyway (anything else to do with him though? Fairy tales.)
  23. I don't think there are many songs about game development, Shape.
  24. Sometimes, I'm walking through water and I give my minions an order to get something on land. However, they attempt to take the same route I did and try to walk through the water. This generally results in a large part of my horde drowning.
  25. Dude, Gandalf doesn't count, he's basically the LotR version of an angel.
