What? You're kidding here right? I am not tech savvy at all but I have no problems with Vista. In fact I find it easier to use than XP and even 98 were. Familiarizing yourself with a new User Interface that most people decided to dislike is about as tech savvy as putting up a christmas tree.

Selective, point for point. Nice. I can do that trick, annoying as it is in missing the bigger picture. Go ahead and make your case that says posting on a message board is actively doing anything. I'm just here because I'm bored waiting for my physics simulation to be done. Between the lines is empty space. Pretending you're defending more than your sense of self-entitlement by saying meaningless stuff like "read between the lines" is just a cheap cop-out. This is not literature. There's nothing being described here. There's just your stupid demands. There ARE!? Wow! My mind, he is blown! Other than that, this has nothing to do with my argument. I also never said or implied that Team Gizka was special. Team Gizka has every right to do with their mod what they wish, just as any other mod team does. Now you're just grasping. Saying Team-Gizka occasionally pulls nasty **** on their fans, that's a critique. One that I would even agree with. Saying Team-Gizka owes it to their fans (i.e.: you) to do certain things differently, that's just a bull**** demand. And you have no right to demand anything from them. I hate it when people pull out the old "whaaah you're wrong because it's just my opinion" thing when it doesn't apply. But fine, go ahead and act that waiting and doing nothing for a long time mean they should listen to you. If that makes you happy, sure, go ahead. It doesn't seem like it does from your posts though, because you seem to be determined to be angry at everything these people you don't know, who don't affect your life do. And, as you said, they don't release anything right? So everything these people do... is nothing. So what are you so angry about?

Wow, lots of assumptions going on there. This "with me or against me" attitude you exhibit just stumps me. I've never actively supported them. I honestly don't care that much either way. I'm interested in it, but I have lots of other things to do. Today was the first time in over a year that I even checked if it still existed, because I happened to hear someone talking about KotOR. It's not like I need my KotOR II fix or something. What I do care about is some jerk telling other people what to do. It's exactly why everybody hates fandoms nowadays. They're doing this personal project their free time and for themselves. They basically only made it public because they decided to give it to other people when they were finished, for FREE even! They could have just as easily have decided to keep it to themselves. Even taking the time to update something is generous from them. None of us have any right to expect anything from them, let alone demand. Not me, not anyone, and especially not someone who makes a point of being as antagonistic as possible about it. They can do whatever the hell they want.

Wow, some of you really feel like this unfinanced, unpaid mod-team who work on this in their free time should show government level professionality. I mean, no offense but- No, y'know what? Never mind that last part. All offense meant. You guys are bunch of shlongs. It's a wonder you haven't driven these guys to quit yet. I wish there was some way of preventing everyone here who has done nothing but complain about something that will be distributed for free on the internet when it's done from downloading it.

A New Game Unannounced from Blizzard
Blarghagh replied to Magister Lajciak's topic in Computer and Console
No, he means the second part of SC 2. It's become a trilogy, or get two expansions or whatever. The first part will feature only the Terran campaign. -

The videos were very cool, but the actual in-game cutscenes and most of the dialogue was pretty cringeworthy. And the voice acting. Dear god, the voice acting. -

They don't always deliver. WarCraft III had terrible story presentation. At least, I thought so. -
Eels' new single, "Fresh Blood" here.

Yesterday I stumbled across the 70's King Kong remake on TV, and Jeff Bridges has a similarily ridiculous beard in it.

I don't know if anybody else had this, but before Knights of the Old Republic was patched, overloading any computer terminal would also overload mine, making it crash.

A New Game Unannounced from Blizzard
Blarghagh replied to Magister Lajciak's topic in Computer and Console
I've never understood this, myself. Some people rave on about Starcraft but it was just your generic Monster Race vs Human Race vs Super Alien Race filling in archetypes and duking it out. Diablo and Warcraft have utterly generic stories as well, though I don't know if WOW has advanced the latter beyond, say, Guild Wars-style "Tons and Tons Of Generic Fantasy Fare That Is Just There To Fill Its Position". It's just that Blizzard has always been excellent at delivering those stories (e.g. Diablo 2 movie clips were amazing). Even as a Blizzard fan, I agree that their writing isn't as genius as people often claim. Especially about WarCraft. It's a generic story, and since WarCraft III it has become needlessly complicated and convoluted. It doesn't say much good when you twist your own tale so many times you have to start retconning after three installments of your series. And, haha, WoW advancing story? With what? Maybe there's a quest that has you collect history books rather than wolf spleens. However, I don't think you're giving StarCraft enough credit. The setting is pretty generic and some of the sci-fi plot devices were uninspired, but the characters were very believable. Especially considering how much we actually saw of them, and very few games kept me guessing as much as to where the story was going. Betrayals and unlikely alliances left and right; the politics of it was very well done. EDIT: Dammit! That tangent made me forget what I was going to post in this thread in the first place! So here goes: Recently, Blizzard apparently spoke to Microsoft about the possibility of making their next generation console MMO compatible. I suspect that this is literally what's meant with "Next Gen MMO". Which would mean that this other MMO project would not neccesarily mean they're going to kill off WoW like some people here have theorized. So, yeah. ^_^ -
I found it hilarious, but maybe because Kevin Smith resonates with me more than Judd Apatow. Except Clerks. Clerks is an overrated piece of **** that only impresses with it's budget. Clerks II is hilarious though. "Porchmonkey4Lyfe! That's okay, I'm taking it back!"

What part of a creative project comes first?
Blarghagh replied to Zebranky's topic in Developers' Corner
Yeah, I'm not a game designer but logically it would be a toss-up between getting a general idea of the setting or coming up with interesting an gameplay design. -
I spent six hours in public transportation due to train power outages and traffic jammed bus.

Get a large box, put a small litterbox in it and something nice and comfortable like a pillow, put him/her in there at night. I woke up, commuted to my internship workplace, simulated some 3d stuff, listened to some music, read some webcomics and drew some dude I designed like 40 times. Yay for things that take a lot of time like simulation, rendering and compiling!

Eels Live Bootlegs Their live shows are great, always rearranging songs as they would sound like if they were written for that specific tour. COME ON! HEY E! HE LOVES YOU!

Hell I'm staying with beaches regardless of how famous I am.

The combination of seriousness and joking in this post confuses me. Anyway, sympathies to friends, Qui Gonn Jin and other family.

I don't get that channel anyway.

Just the artwork. The gameplay is incredibly fun, adding new elements to classic Castlevania gameplay. (Which one are we talking about here? I'm specifically mentioning Portrait of Ruin).

I think that so far it's looking solidly entertaining. However, I don't see a lot of things that I recognize as jumping out towards fanboys (being a seasoned fanboy myself), and there are barely any points of major criticism. So the vocal minority doesn't have much to comment on. This is not neccesarily a bad thing.

Why I think all girls need to be on meds...
Blarghagh replied to TheHarlequin's topic in Way Off-Topic
Similarily to another thread, I am going to agree with the part that a lot of women need to stop playing mind games. I have had far too many experiences where women expect certain behavior because somehow (I suspect pop culture is to blame) they feel like there are rules. Some of them are mentally checking things off lists even if they don't realize. I've known girls who would string guys along but not commit to anything until they had asked them out in a particular way with specific words! That's crazy! However, I must also protest the generalization that all women are as described in this thread. I've known plenty of women who aren't like this. Yet for some reason, THOSE are the ones most quickly written off as "crazy". Well, to quote Mark Olivier Everett, "I love crazy women". -
Ultimate Mortal Kombat, basically just a port of Mortal Kombat 3 Arcade with Puzzle Kombat added to it, is incredibly entertaining for those times you need to wait for your scene to render or code to compile. Also a game that's entertaining to play at just about any time is N+. There hasn't been a platformer this amusing since the days of the NES. And is it a crime to mention Pok

300 isn't a comedy. It's Frank Miller's interpretation in comic format transferred to film. 300 is a rare, surprisingly good and faithful adaption of the comic. If you read the comic, you would see how good of a film it is. Personally, in 300 I only found proof that comic books and movies are entirely different media in which entirely different things work. As a movie, it didn't. Hell, 300 is basically the reason I have very little interest in the Watchmen movie. Because exact page to film transition looks like a recipe for the ridiculous.
