  1. Well, that's the part why I think they're failing. It's the whole being your own publisher, mostly owning your own games, being able to do your own thing where they're trying to follow Blizzard.
  2. Fair enough. Sorry about being flippant with you then, it's very hard to infer things on the internet.
  3. It seems like they're trying to follow Blizzard but I don't think they'll get there.
  4. No, I mean, I've never played or even looked at New Vegas, but it's much newer than NWN 2, so like doesn't it have a much higher polycount? Wouldn't just converting meshes as they are make NWN run like ****? Well, like more ****? But apparently not. Great job being helpful though, there is so much content in those posts it will make many people who visit here very happy.
  5. The whole time I was watching I just couldn't understand the bad reviews. It's not a great movie, but it has a lot of charm and some really creative action sequences, and even a decent amount of character growth for returning ones. It brings a lot of fresh air to this series. Don't get me wrong, it's not amazing, there were only a few moments that truly wowed me, but it was very entertaining and at least much more coherent than the last two movies, which is a worthy trade off to downgrade the scale from ridiculously epic to fun adventure quest.
  6. Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides. It seems to be cool to hate these movies now, because this one's been getting terrible reviews. I think it's because of overexposure, or maybe the giant budget (which this movie doesn't reflect, it doesn't play out like a blockbuster, it's much more low key). It's actually pretty entertaining, much more like the first Pirates movie. A lot more standalone and adventurous, and for a Pirates of the Carribean movie there were not that many injokes (which is to say, quite a few but not exessively). Also had quite an Indiana Jones vibe, to the point it felt more like an Indy sequel than the last Indy movie (unsurprising, the writers Ted Elliot & Terry Rossio on their screenwriting column website Wordplayer.net have often referred to Raiders of the Lost Ark as the perfect movie). I liked how there wasn't a lot of CG, and it was fun spotting Kauai locations that were previously used in Jurassic Park. Geoffrey Rush owned this movie, and Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley were hankfully absent. The plot was refreshingly simple and unlike the previous films some things were left to the imagination. They never beat you over the head with anything. Considering this time they cannibalized Tim Powers' "On Stranger Tides" novel, I hope next movie cannibalizes plot points from that old cartoon show, "Pirates of Dark Water". Seems like right up this movie series' alley.
  7. I dunno man, throwing those at someone's head seems pretty weapon-y to me.
  8. Didn't someone do a Judas Priest song? That person should win.
  9. You're running it in those modes, but did you also install it (i.e. ran the setup) in Compatability Mode and As Admin? That solved most of the problems I was having. Can't think of anything else.
  10. You can play Gamecube games on the Wii, but only if you have Gamecube Controllers or the Special Wii Game Controllers.
  11. My fingers hurt just thinking about all the hours spent playing Turtles 2 with my brother. I remember my mom saying she went to check up on me at night, and I was sitting up in bed making the playing motions while sleeping. I finally beat Low G Man not too long ago. That may be one of the hardest games ever made, or maybe I was just terrible when I was a kid.
  12. Sounds like you need some cardio so the "fastest" will probably be running or biking. A few miles per day can probably be accomplished in under an hour. Makes sense, I'll try biking since I enjoy that anyway. Quick solution for me - stop driving / commuting everywhere and take the bike. I'll have to since I'm moving further away from the local train and bus station in two weeks anyway. Tried this one for years, didn't work. Surprisingly, if you take out the cheeseburgers it works like a charm. Thanks for the advice, but I can't ice skate. I have terrible balance (I'm like a monkey whose tail got cut off) and I actually didn't even master riding a bike until I was like twelve (in context, the bike is one of the principal modes of transport where I live and most kids start learning it by six years of age, myself included). That makes sense, I am extremely hard to motivate and much harder to keep motivated. If only I had the cash for an air hockey table. Thanks guys. Any more advice is always welcome. ^_^
  13. Another reason to maintain my no Apple policy added to the list! (Other reasons so far include tooth decay and cancer.)
  14. Didn't he come up with Theme Hospital and Dungeon Keeper? Because those are seriously two of my favourite games ever.
  15. Just finished carrying, shoving and hauling some leather couches and realized for it to have hit me as hard as it did I must be seriously out of shape. What's the quickest way to get into shape? And by quickest I mean least time. I'm not adverse to effort but I simply have very little free time to spend excercising.
  16. I sorta think those record low sales have less to do with the console and more with what Japan is going through right now.
  17. No offense, but the only way for that to be gayer is if you sang a George Michael song. True epic needs epic music. So far, my favourite everyone-drunkenly-sings-along song has been "Always Look on the Bright Side Of Life".
