Boys will be boys on the internet (<- sarcasm)

Bruce, counter question: Emmy-award winning indie developer Wolf Wozniak claims to have been sexually harassed by Zoe Quinn. He was viciously assaulted and harassed for making this claim by people self-identifying as feminists. What do you think their definition of the word feminist is? -
Tell that to the 10-year old boy they doxxed, harassed and threatened to kill, Malc. Devs coming out to support GamerGate, some anonymously because they fear harassment: http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Stardock-CEO-League-Legends-Devs-Others-Support-GamerGate-67327.html

I really enjoyed the fact that Christina's video featured Maddox. Don't think that will help though, Maddox has been a target for as long as his website has been up.

At the risk of sounding like a troll....are you guys trolls?

I make a lot of posts longer than one line. In fact I often seem to ramble on for far too long. -
Thread pruned. Let's keep ad hominem attacks to a minimum, guys.

Journalists still pretending it's about misogyny. In the meanwhile, a Reddit user got shadowbanned from Reddit simply for asking Julian Assange what he thought about Censorship during an AMA. Who was Reddit's parent company again? What other journalistic outlets did they own? -

I thought it was a decent film that bombed because of terrible marketing.
-
I don't see why the social-justice/anti-gg side would be concerned. The whole 'gamersgate' movement accomplished little and has no idea where to go next. You misunderstand me. I'm saying it's reasonable to believe the journalists (as some game developers are as attested to by indie dev daniel vavra) are only on the side of social-justice crowd publicly because they are scared of the social-justice crowd turning on them and harassing, doxxing and pretty much all around ruining them. Not that they are afraid of the gamers.
-
Yeah. Supposedly they considered the plot of "saving mankind from 'the Fallen'" to be analogous with "saving white people from black people".
-
Nope, it's for his book being racist.
-
That's interesting. Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder if some of the journalists pulled this stunt because they themselves are pooping their pants just as much as the developers are. With the exception of perhaps Ms. Alexander, I wonder how many of them are posting these things because they will become a target if they don't, such as Stardock CEO Brad Wardell: http://www.littletinyfrogs.com/article/457741/GamerGatethe_free_ride_is_over Stardock's CEO Brad Wardell claims being harassed for years by cliques focused on social justice. Emphasis his.

Nonek wins at this thread. Most other people thus far, are losing.

Yeah, I don't think this is currently a priority. It's a seriously minor inconvenience.

Spent most of yesterday playing outdoor laser tag in the woods. It was bloody brilliant.

Where I work, 80% are women. I hate it when they say hello and ask me how I am doing. I also hate it that some of the bring home baked cookies and the like to work. I especially hate it when they tell me that I can go home early when I am done with my stuff. Today, they sent me home an hour and fifteen minutes early. Who do they think they are? Men can work too, you know? Man, I remember when my mom used to cut the crust off my sandwiches for me. It's like she didn't want me to become tough.

My girlfriend was extremely understanding and patient during my several year long depression and never let me give up on myself. What a bitch.

Its sad that they needed a disclaimer. There was nothing controversial, unless you count truth as controversial. Damn, this article is a pretty scathing condemnation. It might as well be titled "Hardcore social justice crowd dissuades devs from becoming more inclusive".

Yeah it's a satire of radfem perceptions, Bruce. I'd approve but the bonus points for satire are being negated by demerits for retreading the same old thing: Drama in the indie game biz pt 1 Drama in the indie game biz pt 2 The state of feminism Contribution of women in the game industry Virtual rape hard to track Women supplanting men as largest gaming demographic Celebrity Nudes Leaked Pretty sure with those we've had enough threads starting as or turning into a discussion about or bashing of both radfem and general feminist perceptions. I guess since it's just a joke it's not really harming anyone, though. Since no women (as far as I've seen) weighed in on those threads it's a bit redundant.

If this is true, I'm going to laugh so hard.

It's a mainstream genre?

Like the little "Blizz" notifications on the Battle.net forums? That's a neat idea but I don't know if the forum software has the ability. Would be handy for the PoE forums to see what issues have already been responded to. I'll try to pass it on and see if someone can find out. No guarantees.

I built a couple of neat things in Minecraft but on a whole, but the most stressful moments in that game have always been finding monsters in sprawling caves.

Huh. Not convinced of the accuracy of this claim, but if it is it is a serious blow to the credibility of Ms. Sarkeesian. http://billthemanfromkentucky.tumblr.com/post/97189340808/the-girl-who-cried-wolf-and-the-press-that-sold-it-to

Congratulations and respect, man. Grandmother's funeral was today and I'm taking the rest of the day off. I know I should use my time to do something productive but screw it, not in the mood today.
